out of curiosity — do you think you’ll ever do a chapter in Low Lays the Devil in Me or a separate fic detailing Vi’s POV while in Stillwater? (Not that I’m complaining about a Cait-focused fic — she’s my fave character & I love angsty storylines in her POV!)

(also just wanted to say that I absolutely love both fics! they’re easily my comfort fics and one of the best ones i’ve ever read. any time there’s an update it instantly makes my day 🫶)

I don't know if I'll do a POV chapter of Vi in Stillwater. I do promise that her time in there will not be swept under the rug! I could either do a POV chapter a bit later or do a separate fic like I did for some of the non-Vi centered scenes in "Heart Made of Glass: Perspectives." Since I'm making up 75% of this as a I go long, it's hard to say yes or no explicitly to anything. Not ruling it out, but no promises either.

Corina stopped and pulled out a few weeds from a beautiful batch of yellow bulb plants that Caitlyn recognized as tulips. When she was finished, she looked at Caitlyn. Her dark eyes, Caitlyn realized, were speckled with beautiful gold flakes that anyone could get lost in, should she choose to weaponize them. “If you were an ordinary citizen, perhaps I would believe you,” she finally answered. “But to go from the pinnacle of Piltover political power to the banality of chasing down petty criminals in the Undercity? Then no, I don’t believe that someone like you would find that fulfilling.”

Hello again Caitlyn Kirammans, it's me, the one with the questions. I thank you for answering me yesterday (or 2 days ago) for the questions about your story Low Lays the Devil in Me and the future of it.

I still have some doubts about it like:

Low Lays the Devil in Me takes place in 2 scenarios which are the corruption in the Piltover Council with Caitlyn and the Shimmer cover-up in Stillwater Prison with Vi (if I remember correctly, correct me if I'm wrong🤔) and Sevika will be Vi's partner in the prison.

1: Will Sevika have some relevance in Stillwater's story and her relationship with Vi? (maybe inspired by Orange the New Black if you know the series or how it happens inside the prisons)

2: Will there be some romance as Sevika x OC?

3: Are you a League of Legends veteran?

4: Will you make fanfics from other fandoms in the future or exclusively from arcane?

Hello! I am happy to answer questions 😁 and you are right. Vi is focusing on getting evidence of shimmer production in Stillwater and Caitlyn is focusing on Corina and the Chembarons’ influence on the Council.

1. I do have serious plans for Sevika. This first bit of the story unfortunately with her and Vi in prison, we don’t get to interact with her too much since Caitlyn only has access to her for 30 min a week. But! They have talked about getting both Vi and Sevika out of prison. They just need to gain access to the shimmer factory, which takes time.

2. I don’t currently have any plans for Sevika being involved in any romance sub plots but that’s not because I don’t want to. I am making 75% of this up as I go along, so if it comes up later that Sevika has chemistry with someone, then I will definitely explore that through Caitlyn’s eyes.

3. I have never once played League and I don’t have plans to. I don’t think I’ve even seen more than 10 seconds of gameplay 😅 but I have done a lot of reading up of LoL lore of Noxus, Piltover, and Zaun. I find the world building of this game very interesting, but LoL itself is not the kind of game I’d like to play and the horror stories of its fanbase frighten me 😅

4. I have written fanfic in the past for other fandoms, but never with this kind of excitement and the ones I’ve written for Arcane are far and away my most well received fics. I won’t say I’ll stick exclusively to Arcane, but I don’t foresee me being gripped by another show like Arcane has gripped me anytime soon. Never say never though.

I'm wrapping up the next chapter in "Low Lays the Devil in Me" and I was like, why does this feel like it's so short? Then I realized that 5,500 words are nothing in comparison to the almost 25,000 words of the last chapter 😅 this kind of chapter length is a breeze in comparison to that! Lol

1. No plans right now for a trilogy but I’m not ruling it out.

2. Caitlyn is the central character in Low Lays the Devil in Me. I don’t have any currents plans to switch to Vi’s perspective but never say never. If I do, it’ll only be for a short time like I did with Cassandra in “Heart Made of Glass.”

3. Haha no love triangle in this series I’m sorry to say (although that would be amusing), but so far we don’t really know what Cassandra has been up to in this fic or how everyone else is doing, to a certain degree. For plot reasons, Caitlyn has to be pretty cut off from everyone so we have to see if everyone can be reunited soon.

In the quiet of the night, with the moonlight shining through their window, a lead weight that Caitlyn had done her best to ignore since long before they left Piltover sat heavily in her chest as she thought back to what Ambessa said about the challenges they would face when they returned home. “Are you still in this fight, Violet?” Caitlyn whispered, unable to stop the way her hand gripped Vi’s almost too hard. Vi pulled her hand up and kissed it. “For every step you’ll have me,” she whispered sleepily. The weight in Caitlyn’s chest didn’t completely abate, but it did so enough that it allowed her to fall into a deep sleep.

I can't believe it, but the Noxus chapter is done. I did it. I still have plenty of editing I need to do, but it shouldn't take too, too long since I've been editing as I've been writing. Holy shit, you guys. Pre-edit, it's 23,259 words long. I am on draft 4 and it's gone through so many changes since I first started out. I'll probably put down what I scrapped for it in the notes at the end of the chapter because man it's very different than when I first set out, but definitely in a good way.

I hope to get it out before I leave for work in a few hours, but we'll see. I have to do a read through of it and make sure it all makes sense and get rid of pesky errors.

Question! This chapter for Noxus is suuuuper long. Like, so far is over 20,000 words and I still have one big conversation to wrap up and some descriptions and supplemental scenes and then I'm done. Should I split this mini-book into two chapters (Noxus Part 1 and Noxus Part 2) or keep it as one big chapter?

Noxus chapter is coming along, I promise. I've gone through four drafts of this, changing up the plot slightly every time. It's going to be a long one and I hope you all like it. I'm thinking it will cover half of their time in Noxus, which will be the most important time there.

Okay, I know I don't owe anyone any explanations, but I do like to keep you all in the loop. I am having a hard time nailing down a really important series of small scenes in the Noxus chapters (which is currently 16,000+ words long pre-edit😬), and it's happening at a very busy week of work/personal life. So, I promise, this isn't me abandoning it. I'm still actively working on it, and even thinking about it when I'm not, but I just want it to turn out well, as much for you and for me. It'll make my brain go brrrrrrr when I figure it out, but I just need to get to that stage still lol reminds me a bit of the Kiramman Gala chapter in "Heart Made of Glass" 😂

I didn’t expect it to be that long but once I realized what I wanted to accomplish in Noxus, I realized it was going to be more like a short story inside the bigger story. I think you guys will like it though.

So the longest chapter in "Heart Made of Glass" is 12,427 words (it was Cassandra's POV chapter). There's no way I'm not going to soar past that number with this Noxus chapter. I'm at 11,500 words with the beginning and end finished and I'm just getting into the middle section now. There's a chance this could get to almost 15,000 or more words 😬😬 no promises, but holy fuck so much goes on in this chapter. Hope it's not too overwhelming 😬😬

The tattooed burglar swung her legs over the balcony railing with confident, graceful movement and turned so that she was facing Caitlyn. “Thanks again for not shooting me,” she said with a crooked smile. Caitlyn felt her breath hitch ever so slightly at how handsome this burglar was and prayed that the other woman hadn’t heard it. “Thanks for potentially saving my dissertation,” she replied. There was an awkward pause and Caitlyn got the bizarre feeling that the woman didn’t actually want to leave. Caitlyn was surprised that she didn’t want her to leave, either. GimmeTheFeels lived up to their name in a wonderful gifted fic to me centered on my OC Emir from “Heart Made of Glass.” You’d need to read my fic to fully appreciate it, but he is the Kiramman’s butler and I loved his relationship with Vi so much. I am honored he captured people’s affection to the point that one of you wrote a fic about him 😭
