Iโm not a perfectionist, but finding a typo or a grammatical error in my own already-published fic is like stepping on a Lego honestly

The Wyvern, a magnificent creature with its sleek, serpentine head and a menacing hiss, was determined to escape the encroaching civilization. Its two powerful forearms clung to the walls as it scaled with its rough, twelve-meter-long body covered in earthy brown scales. Four clawed legs supported its weight as it traversed the urban landscape, its thin, leathery wings allowing it to glide over chasms and obstacles. These wings, when not in use, revealed the wyvern's rugged, flexible skin along its forelegs and ribs. Along its spine, a striking crest of bristly, vibrant red fur added to its camouflage in the crimson forests, making it nearly invisible among the foliage.
Adorned with a wooden mask resembling a barn owl, the figure confidently taunted the pursuing guards, their heart-shaped face pale with buff and grey colouring, large forward-facing eyes, and a painted downward-pointing bill. They sat astride on the wyvern, the dark beige panelled skirt reaching their knees and paired with black tights, black boots, and sage green leg warmers trimmed with white fur. Their sage green top boasted long semi-bell sleeves, complementing skintight black fingerless gloves that stretched up to their elbows. An umber brown waist-length poncho, adorned with feathers matching the mask, completed their ensemble. Their untamed black hair was woven into a thick braid, and adorned with small golden bell earrings on their semi-exposed ears.
Behind the mask, a pair of concentrated eyes flicked to the side, catching sight of others aligned with their cause. Their previous taunting expressions transformed into looks of determination as they raised a finger towards the guards, tracing an intricate spell in the air. As the spell took shape, plumes of fire spiralled out from the centre of the circle, effectively halting the advance of the plague-masked guards.
The air was split by a piercing whistle, causing everyone to turn and see another of the masked companions motioning urgently as the beastly demon hurtled towards the ground with sinuous grace. As they looked ahead, they were stunned to see familiar figures a few yards awayโthe residents of the Owl House, deep in conversation and oblivious to the danger. Taking a deep breath, the person ran their hand along the sleek fur of the Stokala, suppressing a yelp as it vaulted over the residents, soaring briefly through the air. They saluted the residents as time seemed to slow, eliciting stunned looks in return before the beast accelerated and disappeared around the corner.

The reason I wrote this book is my love for the series, along with a small idea of sharing my thoughts on other series through writing. While some may find it unusual, I genuinely enjoy taking the time to work on chapters and review my writing to ensure it flows smoothly.

As a dragon, you are used to humans entering to obtain your treasure or your head. "I need help with my magic school homework"ย is a new one though.
โHow the hell did you block that with a shield?!โ They asked, somehow confused at the concept of what a shield is supposed to do.
I can write after months of sitting and running behind my ass and then take a whole year just for the damn title and summary before going back into the thousand year writer's block slumber.

writing is hard but coming up with a cunty title and catchy summary will slay even god's strongest soldier
Several things to consider:
โขHow would they be ranked? Would it be based on a specific set of morals or based on the parent-child relationship? If two dads raise kids to the same standard, but one is homophobic and the other isnโt, and they teach that to their kids, who is the better dad? What decides the morals?
โขThere would most probably be a massive drop in domestic abuse/neglect. Dads would want to show off to other dads how good of a dad they were, and if itโs a lower ranking, there would be reason to suspect abuse/neglect.
โขIf somebody adopts a child, does the mug count that person as the childโs dad? If you didnโt realise you had a child, and you got a mug, would it still show a ranking? Do you have to be active in the childโs life? (For example: a stepdad with no biological children of his own. Would the mug count him as the dad, or the childโs biological father?)
โขWould there be contests? Or what? Would there be prizes for being good dads?
โขWould anybody find a way to exploit it?
All of the โ#1 Dadโ mugs in the world change to show the actual ranking of Dads suddenly.

My little sister started reading my story with a creepy villain and she came over to me to talk about the story and went:

Is there anyone else that when they get hit with inspiration act dramatically for no reason?
Like I recently got a story idea, and when I did I was looking up as the thought was formulating and then when it finished, I slammed my head forward really hard. Knocking my headphones to the floor, and then giving myself a mild headache from how hard I slammed it forward.

So I just finished the NaNoWriMo story I was doing for school yesterday, and then last night I thought of another fucking story.
Long story short, I've come up with the plot, 11 characters, their names, and their pasts, and I created a playlist for my MC.
I Think About This A Lot To The Point Where It May Be Unhealthy
I'm a bit of a writer, and sometimes I sit reading romantic oneshots and headcannons. And I just get thinking, why does everyone write about 'the first time they met' or 'the first time they kissed' or 'their first valentine's day together'? If it were me, I'd want to read a oneshot titled 'the 315th time they kissed and yet they felt fireworks in their stomachs' or 'the 100th time he hugged me and secretly stole my coffee from the kitchen counter'. I want to read about love persevering. I don't want to read about a guy or a girl who's just fallen heads over heels. I want to read about a couple who has worked their way through the kinks in their relationship, smoothened out the wrinkles, ironed out the problems, and still love each other wholeheartedly. I don't want to read about the first time a guy or girl kisses me. I want to read about the day he kissed me just to distract me from the fact that he was being chased by the police (now wouldn't that be an interesting one?) or the day she stole my car keys because she doesn't have a car and wants to buy groceries for me because I'm tired. I don't want to read about the 'I would cross the world for you, darling' kind of love. I want to read about the 'I would certainly cross the world for you, but only if you're paying for half of it afterwards' kind of love.
I don't want to read about someone falling in love. I want to read about someone working to love someone, earning that love, and making it theirs for the rest of their lives.
With all the power in the world, it only took a week before the minimal joys were sucked dry from the marrow of life.
Why worry about anything when they can be fixed within the snap of a finger? Financial burdens? Gone. Hunger? Gone. Eagerness to travel? Also gone.
There was simply no need to have any wishes or aspirations. They had been long dealt with within minutes.
Worst of all was the effect it placed upon your surrounding peers. You could see a sense of greed growing in their eyes as they asked you for more and more favors. It formed a rather nasty codependent relationship.
So with no more prospects or people, you also decided to live on the outskirts, trying hard to gain back any sense of purpose before the powers were gifted to you. The man disappeared before you even had the chance to tell that you understand it, and to please take back this curse. But it is now yours to bear. You may as well live with it.
You finally meet the man with all the power in the world, but to your surprise he is living the quiet life, not using his powers. You ask why and he just gives you, his powers. You understand why now.

So this is the apps/sites I've used in the last couple of months.
I used Focus Writer for a while on my laptop, but it was only stored locally and didn't have anything for plotting/world building. For pure writing though I quite liked it.
Then I tried Reedsy Studio, which I really loved but doesn't have an offline option and it glitches a lot saying that you're offline when you're not. I did really like their plotting/world building tools, though they needed a bit of tweaking which is to be expected for a program that's still in beta. Once they sort out the glitches and bring out the offline option (which will be paid iirc, so will have to see what the pricing is) I might check it out again.
After that I wound up back on MS Word, which I'm happy with for now, although I am looking for a tool to track my writing goals.
For world building I use Obsidian. Not sure if I'll stick with it but I am kind of obsessed with the little chart it makes for you.
For screenwriting I use Trelby.
