So you've heard of queer-coded villains, but have you heard of...
...villains who don't sit correctly? Evil executives who sit criss-cross applesauce in their oversized chairs, waiting for a protagonist to walk into their office so they can dramatically spin around? Monarchs who put thousands to death as they sit on the armrests of their skeletal thrones? Mad scientists who perform inhumane experiments, build bombs and sit on the headrests of cheap plastic chairs without a care in the world? Why? Because people who don't care about about manners or other people aren't going to let anyone else tell them what they can and cannot do.

When someone dies, the afterlife they go to is determined by WHERE they died. Dying in Scandinavia sends the soul to Valhalla or Hel, but dying in Greece lands them in Hades, and so on. You have just died in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

sharing your writing is hard. and sometimes it’s thankless. sometimes it’s such a negative experience that I wonder how anyone does it at all. but you are needed; you are wanted. whether or not we properly acknowledge it, you are a vital part of fandom culture. thanks for sharing.

WRITING PROMPTS - Assassin
An assassin decides to kill anyone that tries to make her kill a child.
"Aw, baby. You thought I came over because of your pretty face?"
An assassin and a detectibe fall in love.
"I'll hunt him down for you, unless he pays me more than you do."
Two assassins go after the same impossible target, and fall in love along the way.
"I aim well."
A pair of teenagers scam people by pretending to be assassins without killing even one person.
"I'm expensive, sweetheart, and it's not money that I take."
You grin as the large crowd in front of you cheers your name. You calm them down and ask for anything you could help out with, and they respond by bringing out a large barrel of wine mixed with possum fur (or so it smelled).
"He's been stuck in there for days," the carrier pleads.
"Who?" You ask.
"Blocky."
"Terrible name," You frown. "But what's the thing stuck inside?"
The carrier took a moment to think and hesitantly said, "My firstborn, I think."
"Fair enough." You stare at the barrel. "Do you want the wine, or the child?"
"The wine, please."
You were an average mage when you fought a basilisk and were turned to stone. 1,000 years later, you awaken to find magic has decayed—and you are now a legendary archmage by today's standards.
Suddenly, an idea strikes you. You turn around to face the planet's burning atmosphere with a wicked grin, and you spot one of the smaller rocks. You pick it up with your bare hands and open your mouth to eat it.
You're immortal. You may as well use it to your advantage.
You stare at the stars and sigh. There are worse ways to discover you're immortal. Finding out after your starship exploded in deep space is definitely one of the worse ones.
You look out from where you're mopping in your house to see the hero run away from a falling piano that seemed to follow them wherever they ran. Even the evil lord looked rather taken aback.
You turn back inside. No one's going to suspect a goblin.
You are a lowly goblin with a mop that accidentally triggers a series of impossible rue goldberg interactions that ends with the demise of the fabled hero of light in the most anti-climatic way possible. Both the hero's party and the evil lord stand in shocked silence.

Basic starting premise for another story that takes place in my multiverse
An ageless loli Neko-Kin ( Cat-Girl ) professor along with their mysterious femme fatal alien body-guard, a queer exiled vampire noble and their ghostly former demon-hunter companion walk into out-of-the-way shire-like village during the harvest festival where they intended to have a nice jovial night of drinking and fun only to have the night interrupted by the arrival of two terrified young children on the verge of death who flee into the festival pleading for help to save their mother from a monster they claim has taken over their home and trapped their mother inside. The village elders request that the 4 strangers ( The professor, her body-guard, the vampire noble, and their ghostly companion ) go and aid the children in the rescuing of their mother and defeat the monster. One of the village residents named Oskar Lochlan ( an Anam-Forge Gunslinger ) with a disturbing past agrees to join them in aiding the children and so together the group sets out as the children lead the way back to their house that dwells along the side of long-forgotten path on which no one ever travels anymore.

A small group of super-powered kids and teens are forced to fight for their lives after an evil corporation known as Xen-Vulleriss invades locks down and kills all the adults in their small island town. Xen-Vulleriss is drawn to the town by the youngest of the kids accidentally using his devastating power at school during an altercation with some school staff resulting in the kid being taken into custody and placed in the local lock-up. During the night Xen-Vulleriss invades in hopes of capturing the all super-powered kids in the town. Xen-Vulleriss proceeds to kill all the adults in town leaving it up to the older kids in the town to protect the younger kids as they try to escape their island home and go get help from the outside world. At the end of the story, the group of survivors will make discoveries that will change the course of human history forever as dark truths are revealed and mysterious events begin to play out on a global scale.
This story is intended to be part of an ever-expanding cinematic universe that deals heavily with ideas and themes ranging from Multiversal conflict and inter-dimensional travel to concepts such as aliens and eldritch gods. Themes regarding the LGBTQIA+ community will also play a heavy role in this cinematic multiverse.

Well here is the cover for one of my other books in the works. This is fresh from my artist. I love them so much.
So I am really struggling to decided which of these pics is better to be the cover of my second book. So I need as many opinions as possible to help me decide which cover I should pick. Please help me by telling me which of the two you think is better. I would really truly appreciate any feedback.
So I have a question for any writers out there...
How do you write a workable story without the dimension of ‘place’? What I mean more fully is. How can you write story from the point of view of omniscient beings, who exist and life in a place so devoid from any reality that it is effectively everywhere and nowhere at the same time. How to you tell / write a story about the actions and lives of these individuals from their perspective when they effectively are existing without the foundational concept of ‘place’? I know this is a hard / weird question but I really need to know so any answers would be deeply appreciated.
There are two types of writers:
1. 'It's fiction, it doesn't need to make sense!'
2. 'I didn't account for the rotation of the planet and how that affects the constalations while my characters stargazed at different times of year, I have failed as a writer, and this entire thing is trash'
In the animal kingdom, humans are viewed like witches/warlocks: they MIGHT help you benevolently in your time of need, or they might eat you alive, or they might save you but keep you forever. So you know just how serious things are when they say to you, "Go get a human."

You purposefully became a cartoonish supervillain. Your evil schemes are stupid and hilariously idiotic, just so people can get a laugh at them. The heroes adore going after you, and the citizens love to watch them do it. The superhero business can be dark, but you always manage to make it fun!
