Xiao;

was against going to this family reunion with you. He complained on why he had to attend with you, and why you couldn’t go alone to see YOUR family.

Holding up your hand with the wedding band on it, and telling him how he’s now part of your family convinced him enough.

It was a long journey to fontaine, but you both made it in one piece.

Holding his hand, walking to the location, everyone turned their heads, all attention was now on you and your adepti husband.

waving your free hand and greeting everyone, your other hand occupied by your husbands, everyone turned their heads, excitingly greeting you and calling out your name, hugs were given and received. A bunch of questions where asked until one of your close cousins squealed,

“O M G!! Y/N!! Is this xiao!? YOUR HUSBAND!!?? he’s much shorter then expected !” she screamed out, bouncing on her heels, everyone started swarming, talking about his height, and comparing it to yours. which he absolutely hated, but tried not to burst in front of your loved ones.

You smile, turning to xiao and bending down a bit, squishing and pulling his cheeks, “yes he is!! my wittle’ adorable husband, the best partner I could ever ask for! yes he is!” you babied him, giggling, getting a couple laughs from others.

Xiao’s face was heating up, out of anger, embarrassment, and because you complimented him. He squirms and manages to swat your hands away, “stop that.” he says sternly, “aww your so cute when your embarrassed, aren’t you? cutie cutie” still toying with him, he gives her a small glare that tells you to knock it off or he’ll explode, you finish with the teasing, patting his head.

Turning to your family, finally answering their question; “yes! this is my husband, Xiao.” you hold out your hand with the ring on it and smirk, “officially off limits, hehe”

Scaramouche;

“Ahem..” you cough in to your hand to get everyone’s attention, “this is my boyfriend ! scaramouche, say hii” you ruffle his hair and talk in a babyish tone, “come on scara! you can do it, say hi to the nice people~” you squish his cheeks but he’s quick to smack your hand away, “fuck off” he huffs and turns his head, cheeks tinted red in embarrassment. you giggle and turn your attention to your family members, “don’t mind him, he’s just in a grumpy mood, he didn’t have his nap~” he snaps his head around glaring daggers at you, but you pay no mind. “Your obnoxious.” you hum in acknowledgment, “You don’t say that when we’re-“ “-OK OK” his cheeks are red and he looks down.

You wrap your arm around his and peck his forehead, then his cheek, then his lips. “alright, I won’t bug you anymore, cutie.”

Xiao;

Both you and xiao are pop Idols, one of the most famous idol couples in the community.

you got invited to an interview about your jobs, and your relationship. which you gladly accepted.

You had to drag xiao on to the plane to come. (he doesn’t like interviews, especially about his personal life)

You both agreed not to share too much personal information. wanting to keep it private, just for you and xiao. and maybe some close friends.

“welcome! the ever so famous couple: Xiao and Y/n, how are you this evening?”

“We’re doing good! the flight wasn’t too bad, xiao took a nap so he should be fine for this short interview” you smile, taking xiao’s hand in yours as he huffs and blushes.

“I see! It’s great that the flight went well. Ready for Q&A time?”

“of course.” “let’s get this over with.”

After a flood of questions from your fans, finally getting to the last one!

“last one, ready?”

“yup!” you cheer, and xiao nods his head, rubbing circles on to your hand.

“Alrighty, anonymous asks: “Xiao, what’s your role at home?”

Before your boyfriend can even answer the question himself, you jump in cutting him off, “being submissive and breedable.”

Xiao’s head whips to you, Face covered in red blush. “y/n!”

You and the interviewer are giggling while xiao is having a mini panic attack, questioning his life choices. Head in hands trying to cover the blush on his face.

in which you tagged a long, including some of his friends decided to join (childe, dottore, signora) much to his disliking

Scara was on a panel, inviting you to sit with him because he didn’t trust you to be anywhere other then beside him.

It was a panel with other youtubers/twitch streamers, including childe and dottore

After dottore finished talking about what his channel was about (building/experiments, kinda like mattpat) Childe decided to tease scara a bit, with you in on a prank ofc.

Childe, turning to where you and scara sat on the furniture on stage, he smiled, “hey Y/N, why don’t you answer a question.”

“Me? oh, uhm sur-“

“Absolutely not.” scara cuts you off, “I don’t trust you enough to ask them a question, what if you set them up.” he huffs crossing his arms.

already knowing he was gonna say this, childe counters his argument “well, then why don’t you answer the question” he has a sneaky grin on his face.

he sighs, and rolls his eyes. “fine, whatever, what’s the damn question.”

“well, one of your fans asked, ‘what’s your role at the house?”

“what?” he scoffs, “example?”

“scara, honey, they mean like being a house wife, male wife, etc-“ you explain for him.

“-what kind of question is that? ugh, if you have to know it’s-“ it’s your turn to cut him off,

with a mischievous grin on your face you put a hand over your boyfriend’s mouth and yell, “being submissive and breedable!” you giggle as your boyfriend yanks your hand off his mouth and covers yours

since halloween season is coming up (yes I know it’s september but still never to early to celebrate halloween) I was thinking about what costumes some of the genshin characters would wear or you doing couple costumes with them, it’s all right if you can’t do all three of them just some ideas that were in my head!!

you have be trying to convince xiao to do a couple costume with you for a while now and he finally gave in you two are going as jack skeleton and sally.

for childe it’s the other way around childe loves halloween he always did matching costumes with his siblings in snezhnaya so he wanted to do a couple costume with you, you two would go as felix and Sergeant Calhoun don’t ask why I just get those vibes

ok so for you and kaeya both of you wanted to do couple costumes since both of you never really had any friends to match costumes with (lonely mofos) anyway you two would go as flynn and rapunzel idk why kaeya gives me flynn rider vibes.

This is such a coincidence that I get this request including xiao; because I was watching spirited away last night and haku and chihiro reminded me of xiao and my oc.

It would definitely take time to convince xiao to dress up with you for the costume party childe and kaeya are hosting.

After convincing him, you decided to dress up as characters from your guys favorite movie; spirited away. (jack skeleton and sally were your second choice but decided with haku and chihiro)

You guys dressed up as haku and chihiro; xiao being haku and you dressing as chihiro! you even bought a little dragon haku plush that xiao carries on his shoulder

“Do we really have to do this” he pouts, as you help him with his costume. “yes! we already bought the costumes, so there’s no point in not going anymore, plus, you look super cute in this outfit!” you cheer, patting down his costume making sure it fit him, he blushes and stares at the mirror. “Atleast Im not making you wear the wig..” you giggle. “There’s no way you’d get me to wear that ugly sweaty thing” he crosses his arms but there’s a small upright curve on his lips when he hears you giggle.

Childe;

This was your idea, because god forbid you two go as the hot sexy gun lady and the fix it man from reck it ralph. No way in hell, especially if childe was gonna make you dress up as fix it felix because your shorter then him

It took a tiny bit of convincing to change childe’s mind to dress up as howl and Sophie from howls moving castle. but after you watched the movie he was convinced

He wanted to dress up as howl’s bird form but you convinced him to be normal and go as blonde howl.

Was actually really happy with how you two turned out. Said it would have been funny if you dressed up as the old granny version of sophie and you slapped him across the head.

Helping him fix his cape and smooth out any wrinkles, Childe admires himself in the mirror, having a giddy smile on his face. “There, your costume is all ready.” you smile, standing next to your boyfriend in front of the mirror. “I still don’t know why you wouldn’t let me go as his bird form-“ you let out a large dramatic sigh to cut him off, leaving you two chuckling and giggling.

Kaeya;

Well, sense I couldn’t think of any other studio ghibli couples that represent kaeya; and i just really liked the kaeya + flynn rider idea i kept it.

It was his idea and he had to convince you to wear that long ass mf wig. You refused because it would be heavy and a pain. so you decided to dress up as repunzal after flynn cut her hair in the tower.

Thought you looked sexy in the dress, and liked the idea of wearing a shorter wig because he said, “It would be easier to kiss your neck like this” swat him away like a fly whenever he tries to give you kisses or love bites on your neck.

you couldn’t lie that this was a great idea because damn, kaeya looked so damn fucking good in flynn’s outfit, especially sense he let a little stubble grow on his chin.

You were struggling to tie the ties in the back of the dress, calling to your boyfriend to help you out. “Kaeya, can you tie the back of this dress for me? it’s a pain and i can’t seem to tie it properly” he walks over to you, taking the ribbons in his hands, “of course” He pulled on them and tied them tight. Moving his hand off of the tied ribbon and rubbing up your waist and hips, before leaning in to give your neck a peck, “you look gorgeous” you smile and lean in to his touch, “hmm, so do you.”

Diluc;

So i can picture diluc as Fujimoto (the father with the stripped suit) from ponyo, because semi of his personality and hos gorgeous hair.

You, the reader, would obviously go as non other then the god of the show, Granmamare, the sexy giant goddess lady.

You had to convince him to go first, because he would rather be caught dead then be seen dressed up at kaeya’s costume party. but indulged in to your request after you suggested going as Fujimoto and Granmamare.

Thought he wouldn’t look any different, so he complied. He was happy he didn’t have to wear a wig for this costume. Also thought you looked stunning in the long wavy pink wig and long dress.

He was sitting down in front of you, sitting patiently as you did small touch ups of make-up for his eye bags, eye shadow and cheek bones. To be honest you didn’t really have to darken his eye bags because there was already some because of lack of sleep, so you just touched up his blue eyes shadow and the blush on his cheeks. Your lips purk up and you out the make up brush down. “All done! you look very pretty, diluc.” you hand him a mirror, blush creeps on his cheeks at your compliment. Honestly a bit surprised when he sees himself in the mirror. “oh..wow, you applied this stuff really well.” he tells you as he carefully studies his Looks. “Mhmm..only the best for my cutie.” you kiss his reddened cheek.

you and xiao were walking out of spencer’s, when you spot a photo booth across from the store in the corner. Hooking your arm around his you start to drag him over towards it.

“Look! xiao, a photo booth!” you smile wide, you haven’t seen one sense you were little; you couldn’t wait to try it out with your boyfriend.

You settle down in the booth, “oo, what kind of pictures should we take?” turning to your boyfriend, but before he would answer the numbers are counting down and your lips are pressed against his, with your hand on his chest and his hand on your cheek.

There’s a flash and a click, you pull away seeing the blush tinted across his face, “you always seem to catch me off guard..” he says, scooting you close to him, starting the count down. “xiao-“ your cut off with giggles and laughter as he tickles you with a small mischievous smile on his face. Once the flash and click goes by, h stops letting you breath. “ok, fair enough, that’s fair” you wheeze out and smile. “next one!” you grab one of the huge hats from the costume bin at the bottom and place it on his head, starting the camera and you pull at both his cheeks making him form a funny face. Flash and click

“Haha, you look funny in this one! i like it.” you giggle, he pouts at the ridiculous face you made him make. “one more?” he asks, and you nod. “what should we do for the last one?” you think, before your ripped from your thoughts as xiao lifts you on to his lap. “how about just a normal one?” he digs his face in to your neck and you smile, starting the count down you run your fingers threw his hair and smile.

The two of you climb out of the booth, jumping up in down waiting for the two copies of the pictures. They pop out of the machine and you yoink them, handing one to xiao as you admire the one you have. “aah! I love it! we look so cute, aren’t you glad I dragged you in to this?” you smirk. Xiao smiles at the pictures and nods “very glad” wrapping his hand in yours and kisses your cheek.

Xiao was sitting on a nearby desk, watching you read and skim threw books looking for the information you needed. You look so pretty when your focused, he thought. Until he said it out loud, “Your cute when your focused..” Which, caused you to drop your book in surprise as red blush crosses your face, eyes widened. He jumps a little at the sudden slam when the book hits the floor, his brows furrowed in confusion as he look at your flustered face. It takes the adepti a second to realize he said his thought out loud.

“y-you..think i’m, pretty?” your looking at him, slowly walking towards him, passion and excitement in your eyes, you’ve barely heard the adepti compliment you like that before. You were practically bouncing on your heels as you see your boyfriend flushed face.

He slowly nods in response to your question, darting his eyes away so they don’t meet your gaze. He didn’t mean to say it out loud, he curses himself mentally for making that mistake. Before he could have the chance to disappear into thin air from embarrassment, you grab his wrist and look into his amber eyes, smiling wide, you place a quick and small kiss on his lips before speaking, “Thank you..” you pause for a second before continuing “I think your pretty too” you kiss his cheek and turn around to continue your research, leaving your adepti boyfriend very flustered..

you were freezing, the weather didn't only affect those stuck outside, but stuck inside as well

"achoo!" and here you were, catching the world's worst cold in a while

reaching out from your blanket, you grabbed another tissue to wipe your nose

you would have gotten up and made yourself some tea but it's way too cold for you to step out of your blankets, you wouldn't last a minute

sighing, you laid back down

and as it seems that celestia heard and adhered to your every need, the door opened and in someone went

"what happened to you?" xiao asks as he eyes you from your room's door

"take a wild guess, dearest." you sniffed

"heavens, you really ought to take better care of yourself–i'm not always here to lend a hand." he let out a 'tsk' while he takes a teabag and mug

you laugh at his remark. ironically enough, he always was there to lend a helping hand

he sets the cup of tea beside your table and you thank him

"if that is all, i have to get going." he turns to leave

"wait-" you call out to him but he already vanishes. you sigh, oh well

after a cup of warm tea to calm your cold, you take a much needed nap

nighttime rolls around and you stir in your sleep

only to feel a force behind you wrap its limbs to keep you still

"huh-" you cut yourself off with a smile unconsciously growing on your face

turning around slowly, you face your xiao, his face relaxed in deep sleep, or so you thought

to him, nothing else can rival the luminosity of your smile, not even the lanterns that decorated the night sky this lantern rite

he sure loves it when you call his name. sure, his heart melts a little when you call him all these endearments but hearing his name from you sounds like a beautiful melody he can't get enough of

“reckless thing, you are-” the yaksha huffs and ceases his own words as he coughs at your impact on his chest. “how many times have i reminded you to stop running up or down the stairs?” he scowls. you know he means well.

“ah, sorry xiao,” you chuckle, “i’m just excited to see you, is all.” you push yourself off the chest that caught you and peered gleefully at the male. he seems annoyed to the unknowing mortals passing by, but as a person who has spent half their time ‘pestering’ (as he says) the adeptus, you can quickly tell that he was merely relieved and was trying to hide it—although he’d rather deal with karmic debt twice his own than to admit such fondness for you. “thanks by the way.”

xiao diverts his gaze onto the railing of the stairs, “this is the fourth time this week that you’ve gotten yourself into dangerous and careless situations. are you sure you’re keeping an eye out for yourself?” he interrogates you as if he were your guardian, which he might as well be, you nod earnestly at his question.

“don’t worry about me, i’d never dream of leaving you alone.” you giggle. this answer of yours urged the adeptus to cringe and tell you to stop thinking like you’re all important and whatnot, but he knew he’d be lying if he said you weren’t someone he treasures deeply. “i swear on it!” you add.

“hmph, fine.” he begins to walk away, stopping for a second. xiao hesitates to take the next step without a word and decides to leave you with a message,

“if you ever find yourself in trouble, no matter how small or big–if you know that it’ll cause you any harm, call out my name. i’ll be there.”

you appreciated that.

to be fair, xiao did not bring up his concern because of your recent recklessness, but how dim you seem in comparison to how you were before. yes, you still smiled brightly, but the lanterns in the sky easily outshines you. your eyes still held warmth, but warmth that fleeted every now and then if not focused on the adeptus’. he worried that something was gnawing at the back of your mind and causing said recklessness as of current. 

he knows mortals are weak, fragile, and although he does not look down on you too much, he still feels the need to protect you from even the slightest of disturbances, which is what led to his conclusion now; to check up on you.

‘where in teyvat are they?’ xiao furrows his eyebrows in frustration as he knocks on the door to your house for the sixth time.as he reaches out to knock once more, he flinches slightly when the door opens.

what the hell?

“oh! xiao, what are you doing here?” you smile. 

he could see how distressed you are, even from a mile away, he presumes. you look weaker, thinner and definitely worse than three days ago. eyes as dull as a blank canvas that hasn’t been acknowledged by it’s artist for years, limbs as frail as a dried flower’s petals. what in archons happened to you?

“y/n, what in the seven happened? what’s with your weak physique? you clearly haven’t been taking care of yourself.” he moves to grab your arm but you draw it back quickly before he could catch it. he grows more and more irritated as your silence greets his question, left to be unanswered.

“i’m sorry, xiao, but could you leave me be for a while? i’ll visit you soon, i promise!” 

ah, there you go again with your promises.

“why the hell would i leave after seeing you on the brink of fainting? someone has to look out for you if you aren’t going to yourself!” he exclaims as he grows more and more livid by the second. 

you huff in annoyance, “why do you care? you have millions of other people to save, you shouldn’t get distracted by one you can’t do anything about.” 

xiao clicks his tongue in extreme disappointment as he doesn’t seem to get through you. “you don’t get it at all, do you?” 

“you don’t get it either, xiao.”

silence envelops the air between you as you bask in infuriatingly awkward stillness. xiao knows he doesn’t get it, you know you’ll never understand him either. it’s hopeless.

after a few minutes or what felt like a decade, you speak up. 

“..hey, can you accompany me somewhere?” you catch his attention. he raises a brow in skepticism, as it is the middle of the night. “it won’t take long.”

he sighs quietly and nods, nudging his head to silently signal you to lead the way. he might as well accompany you instead of going off on a tangent about how you worry him too much.

you arrive at the windrise tree, the breeze nipping gently at your exposed legs. xiao eyes you from behind and bites his tongue despite his urge to berate you.

you sit down at the base of the windrise tree, letting out a long sigh of relief as you stretch your legs. the adeptus hesitates for a second but ultimately decides to sit down beside you.

this time, he’s the first to break the ice.

“what is your purpose of going here with me?” he doesn’t meet your eyes that snap to him quickly at his question. 

there are multiple reasons as to why you might have wanted to visit windrise, some being that you wanted to take a breather after a heated argument, taking a stroll after an exhausting week or even just needing a fresh scenery for a change. all of these reasons and yet, nothing could have prepared him for the words that came next.

“it could be the last time i’ll see this place again.” you smile fondly, despite the rather depressing statement you had just made. 

the yaksha froze up. ‘last time? are you moving?’

could it be that you’re leaving him? when you said you never dared to even think of it?

perhaps the fatui were after you?

were you in danger?

his mind listed a myriad of possibilities, all of them he wished were not true. he was still trying to wrap his head around what you just said. when you finally take into account his stiffness and silence, you forced out a chuckle. 

“yeah, i’ll be gone by tomorrow.”

he shouldn’t have done what he did next.

“..xiao? are you-”

he cut you off by standing up and glaring at you.

your heart dropped at his gaze.

it was one of the most intimidating but hurtful looks he’d ever made in your presence. his eyes screamed in unsaid fury and his face was etched in borderline offense. looking down. you see both his fists clenched in a tight grip of nothing. his form was trembling in anger, almost making you mistake yourself for one of the millions of demonic figures he rinsed the land of. 

“don’t ever show yourself again.”

noted. and he’s gone.

you stare at your scarred arms and wrists. 

‘it won’t be long now.’

xiao regrets it now, is all.
