"I hadn't seen them in a while and we all had changed. They had lost some of their innocence and were more cynical. They were also getting a lot of negative publicity in the United States after John's comments about The Beatles being bigger than Jesus Christ. I joined them in Chicago and Lennon was getting a lot of flak from the press. He was in his hotel room in tears and saying: 'Harry, me and my big mouth.'"~ Harry Benson
"This morning he and Paul lamented: 'We forget we're Beatles. We shall have to be more guarded in the future.' Outside the hotel pro-Beatles teenagers demonstrated AGAINST the apology. One 15-year-old shrieked: 'John has sold out to the adults.'" ~ Daily Express
did you know that john lennon invented serving?
Cavern Club, July 1961
"A look emphasised by the unusual clothes - leather trousers and cotton tops. No other photos show them dressed this way."
"Three months from here, John and Paul went to Paris and returned with what became known as 'The Beatle haircut'.

THE BEATLES Live at St. Paul's Church (1962)
the infamous “if i was a girl, maybe i could go out and…” paul quote is so insane to me because like… he doesn’t want john to NOT be a man, he wants it to be socially acceptable to be with john exactly as he is

John Lennon in every Beatles movies
Every day I tell myself "this is it, you've got to be to the bottom of the Mclennon well" but this well is more like the well from the goonies there's the well yeah but then there's an elaborate tunnel system leading to an underground bay and a pirate ship and then you can sail forever.
Throwback to when the John Lennon Instagram account (probably Sean) posted this very obvious series of photos captioned by the lyrics to In My Life, making it very clear who the song is about:
I love my wife so much shes so pretty shes amazing she does no wrong and if she does i support womens wrongs idc (i love him so much hes so silly ☹️😭)

John: [about his haircut] I've had it on and off for five years. Paul: Yeah. You should've seen it off.
October, 1973: John sings his own brittle, crooning rendition of ‘Be My Baby’ by The Ronettes. (Note: The number was originally recorded for - but left off of - John’s Rock ‘N’ Roll LP. It was eventually released on the unauthorised Roots LP. This is an alternate rough mix of the track.)
