I'm not from America so I don't get what happened to Brown...
Michael Brown, described by his teachers as a ‘gentle giant’, was an eighteen year old who had just graduated high school, saying to one of his friends ‘we made it' and telling him that “he wasn’t going to end up like some people on the streets. He was going to get an education. He was going to make his life a whole a lot better."
On the 9th of August, 2014, a Saturday, Michael and a friend, Dorian Johnson, whose account can be seen in the link, were walking down Canfield Drive to Michaels grandmothers house when a police vehicle cut them off.
According to Johnson, the police officer, named Darren Wilson "approached us, and as he pulled up on the side of us, he didn’t say ‘freeze,’ ‘halt,’ or nothing like we were committing a crime. He said, ‘Get the f—- on the sidewalk!’ I told the officer we were not but a minute away from the destination.”
The official reason the police officer approached them was because of jaywalking, which was stated by Police Chief Jackson: "Police Chief Thomas Jackson said Wilson did not initially make a connection between the robbery and Brown … Wilson stopped Brown and a friend because "they were in the middle of the street, blocking traffic," Jackson said."
What happened next is of contention - witnesses have their accounts as do the police and Darren Wilson - but what can be certain is that there was a physical struggle between Michael and Wilson, as there was Michaels DNA found inside the car
Wilson states "punches started flying" but I find it odd that a 289 pound, 6’4 man in his prime didn’t create more damage to Wilsons face. It’s odd that there is hardly any swelling when a man who is 80 pounds heavier than Wilson, and has the advantage of being outside the car, is punching the officers face so much so that Wilson felt like his life was threatened, no?
Brown was also UNARMED, as he reportedly stated numerous times to Officer Wilson.
The first shot was then fired, smashing the glass and Michael began to flee. At some point, Michael was hit in the arm and turned to face Wilson, his hands up and saying "don’t shoot" before being shot a collective six times, with one fatal shot to the head, including the eye.
Wilson estimated that "Brown ran 20-30 feet away from the car and then charged another 10 feet back towards him." But Brown died 150 feet away from the car. It’s impossible that he charged another 10 feet.
Wilson describing the altercation before Michael was killed: “The only way I can describe it, it [Michael] looks like a demon, that’s how angry he looked. He comes back towards me again with his hands up.” It. He called Michael ‘it’. And a demon. Does that not give some indication to what Wilson was thinking when he killed Michael?
@TheePharoah then tweets “I JUST SAW SOMEONE DIE OMG” with a link to a picture of Wilson standing over Browns body, but I will not link that.
Browns body was left on the street for 4 and a half hours. No ambulance was called. The police didn’t even let Michaels mother see the body of her son. She later talked to reporters at the scene.
In the later afternoon, this image of Browns stepfather went viral on twitter, holding a sign saying ‘FERGUSON POLICE JUST EXECUTED MY UNARMED SON’
Antonio French provided coverage via twitter and vine when no one else was in the hours after Michaels death (x) (x) (x) (x)
Peaceful Protests occurred in the following days on the streets of Ferguson. The protestors were blasted with tear gas and were ran out of the streets by a militarised police force.
A no fly zone was put into place, the media were forced to leave, and protests were banned by the police force in the next few days.
August 15th, Ferguson Police Dept. release a tape they brand as Michael Brown robbing a local convenience store by stealing $48 worth of cigarillos. Police didn’t include this footage which shows Michael Brown paying for the cigarillos. Wilson also didn’t complete an incident report, which is against the law.
Store owner states through his lawyer that he, nor his employees, called 9/11 about the ‘petty theft’ and that the Ferguson Police Dept. had requested the tape days after Michael was murdered.
Store owner attorney states: “Whatever the police are looking for on the surveillance tape, has nothing to do with what went on in the street.”
November 24th: After nearly four months of paid leave, in which time a fundraiser for Darren Wilson raised over $400,000, Wilson got married, a Grand Jury came to their decision to not indict Darren Wilson. Here is the transcript for those sittings, including every piece of evidence used. Here are all the ‘facts’. They had been hearing evidence since August 20th. A Grand Jury’s decision to not indict is extremely rare, about 0.006% of cases aren’t indicted as of 2010

If you want to help, there are a variety of ways you can: this campaign for bail for ferguson protestors, change.com petition against police violence, sign this ‘we the people’ petition, sign this petition to take the case to the supreme court, donate to Ferguson library which is open despite the schools being closed, watch livestreams and by spreading information of what’s going on in Ferguson - talk about DeAndre Joshua, 20, who was killed in the riots yesterday while in his car. Talk about Michael Brown. Spread information about the protests, about how to protect yourself from tear gas, about their innate human rights. Support the protestors, and support the black community.

1. If you could be killed by any celebrity, who would it be and how would they do it? (yes they have to kill you shutup)
This one had me laughing facedown on my desk and then lying there drawing blank after blank for half the morning. Then I decided to approach this question logically and started researching celebrities with documented weapons training. After all, if I have to be murdered …
Right. So, after considering several likely candidates (Don’t read into my search history, NSA!), I settled on Lucy Liu. As a former student of kali-eskrima-silat, a traditional Filipino weapon-based system of martial arts emphasizing the use of blades, among other things, I’m confident she could have me crumpled in a pool of my own lifeblood before I could start running. And that’s really all that matters, right?
2. Whose face would you like to see on your currency besides the current old person that’s most likely on it?
Considering that only a scant few actual, non-allegorical, flesh and blood women have ever been printed/minted on US currency in all our history (and only Martha Washington on paper) … that would be a useful starting point for looking. I’d like to see Harriet Tubman on a bill, myself. Because disturbingly, but perhaps unsurprisingly, there hasn’t ever been a portrait of an African American featured on US paper money either. 3. If you were ever in London, where is the first place you’d wanna go?
I know absolutely nothing about London, really - not more than your average American does, anyhow. (Which, again, is basically nothing.) But if I know me, and do I ever, I’d make straight for the nearest decent-looking restaurant. 4. It’s 1am and you unexpectedly get kicked out. If money wasn’t a problem, what hotel would you stay at?
If money wasn’t an issue, I wouldn’t stay at a hotel - not here, anyway. I live in a small town in Michigan, so all we’ve got are a few chain hotels clustered together around our exit to US94. Red Roof Inn, that sort of thing. 5. What is your favorite post on tumblr of all times?

Ahaha … well. I’m demisexual, actually, so as far as the whole casual sex bit goes, I’ll pass. Every time. Even if I were to find myself in the (enviable?) position of being propositioned by a US president. If I just had to sleep with a president, though?

James Buchanan. As the only US president to remain a lifelong bachelor, owing to either his heartbreak over a fiance’s untimely death and subsequent choice to remain celibate, or his possible asexuality or homosexuality (the strongest case can be made for the latter), he’s really the only one I’d feel even marginally safe in bed with. I do! Aesthetically. Though the first time I saw him, as Sherlock, I found the sort of skull-like aspect of his face … disquieting. I’m sure it has more to do with the dramatic way the production staff choose to light him for the first half-hour or so than the way he looks in life, but there was such an otherworldly, corpselike aura about him that I was genuinely worried about his health. Out of curiosity, could you take a moment to reblog this if you believe that demisexuality exists? I’m demisexual, and I feel like demisexuality goes really under the radar, even within the asexual community umbrella. A lot of people don’t believe that it exists, and even within the ace community, demisexuality is still questioned as being legitimate, although we share the same flag. 1. What names did you like growing up that you wish you could have changed yours to?
Ahah, well. As a child I didn't covet other people's names so much as furtively dislike my own. Still, when I was very little my mother found me out and decided the best course of action was to rechristen me "Stinky Mud" and only call me that until I admitted that my birth name wasn't so bad after all... Anyway, once I was twelve and could brave the possibility of it happening again (it didn't) I've been going by Jack.
2. What’s your favourite shirt look like?
Mind if I give you the top two? I'm torn between them. (It feels like there's some kind of awful fabric pun in there somewhere, but I'll spare us - this time.)
3. How do you take your hot beverage of choice?
Coffee. That's my choice hot beverage, and I take it with sweetened condensed milk and a touch of vanilla. That, or with two sugar cubes and a splash of cream. 4. Any scars with cool stories you’d care to share?
Oh, there are a few - I'm prone to minor accidents. Lately my favorites are these, though:

5. What’s the best bad decision you’ve ever made?
This one's been boggling my mind since I first read it through, and I think it's because I ultimately can't regard a decision as having been a bad one if it produced a good result. But I've got it now:
One morning on the bus to my high school I was pressed against the window listening to Joy Division on my CD player, when I heard a voice I didn't recognize cutting through the music. Worse, no matter how high I turned the volume, or how hard I crushed the earphones up against my ears, I couldn't come close to drowning her out. Usually, this early, everyone on the bus was half-asleep - but I could hear every word out of this girl's mouth with infuriating clarity. By the time we hit the schoolyard I was livid. So when I noticed my friend Ringo kicking his heels outside around the back of the bus I marched myself right up to the toes of his boots and launched into a tirade, complete with a mocking imitation of what I considered to be one of the more ridiculous parts of her overheard conversation - something to do with her boyfriend incorrectly registering on her caller ID as "Robert Smith", and it being fate because she was such a fan of The Cure. I think I was positively snorting with derision at this point. (As you might have gathered by now, sophomore carletoncolton was a bit of an ass.) And that's when Ringo cut in, "That's my girlfriend".
Haha... honestly, I don't remember how I didn't faint after that what with all the blood draining out of my face. The upshot of it all is, that when Ringo told the girlfriend in question what I'd said she only laughed. We're BFFLs now. 6. Do you remember most of your dreams when you wake up?
For the most part, no, I don't - unless they're either so mundane that I worry for the health of my imagination, or so strange that I'm convinced someone else must've dreamed them.
Example of the former: I have a recurring dream where all that happens is that I wake up in my S.O.'s house, don a pair of my politer, more presentable pajamas, and sit down to a meal at the counter bar or the dining room table. I eat it alone, in silence, with an especially small fork, and then pack my dishes away in the dishwasher when I've finished. That's it, really. I have noticed, though, that if it's after dark in the dream then everyone else is asleep, the cat included, the windows closed and all the blinds shuttered, with only the light over the kitchen sink on. And if it's light out, then all the windows and doors are open, the sun is scorching and almost too bright, and the house is empty. Excepting me and the cat, of course.
Example of the latter: About a week ago I had an unsettlingly detailed dream in which my seventeen-year-old brother, a very technical person with an eye for coding and computer hardware assembly, helped me into a full military-grade black stealth camouflage suit complete with mask and night-vision goggles. Think Splinter Cell, Metal Gear, that sort of thing. He handled all the closures and straps on the back of the suit and I the ones in front. It was dark outside, and we were standing in my old bedroom at my great-grandfather's house as it looked before I moved in - unfurnished, with pastel pink and blue wallpaper. We were crowded near the small open widow; the neighbor's security spotlight, bolted over their garage door, filtered through the chain link fence and gave the whole scene a harsh yellow quality. My brother and I didn't speak, but stared unblinkingly at each other, faces neutral. Our entire family has nearly identical dark brown eyes and I remember being uncomfortably aware of the similarity just then. The whole thing had a hushed, anticipatory quality about it... but the oddest part was that we both knew we were doing this so I could sneak through the window and pick blackberries from the field across the street before the sun came up. In the (real) morning I rolled out of bed bewildered and craving them. 7. What are you hoping happens this week for you?
It'd be everything if I got a response out of any, really any, of the job applications I've sent out recently. Or ever. 8. What’s the biggest, most exciting travel destination of your dreams?
My family has never been more than a lost paycheck or two away from eviction, between evictions, so we haven't ever traveled other than to visit relatives - and that was with help. I've been resigned to things remaining the same way for me all my life for years now. So... I haven't got one. Still, I would like to go back to southern Georgia someday. To visit. I can't say that I enjoyed living there; as a mixed-race asexual atheist it could be distinctly unpleasant, even if only the first and last of those descriptors were obvious to the people around me. The place itself, though... sometimes I have dreams about kneeling outside in the knee-high grass at night, curling my fingers into the red soil, or lying on my roof in the summer until the searing heat of the sun overhead permeates my body to the bone and I see the veins illuminated in my closed eyelids. I'm always cold on some level, in Michigan. 9. How many songs are on your MP3 player of choice? Do you listen to them all?
I could tell you exactly if I hadn't lost it like the bumbler I am, haha. My YouTube favorites playlist, though, has one hundred and sixty-five songs on it, all of which I do listen to. Add my other, artist-specific lists (Lana Del Rey, Blur, Gorillaz, Damon Albarn, Massive Attack, etc.), and that number goes up to three hundred and nine. Less than I'd have thought, actually. 10. Any tattoos? Any plans for more/your first one?
No, and no. Well. There aren't any concrete plans.
Aaaaand done! *pats brow* Whew. Call me a poor sport, but this time 'round I won't be writing any new questions or tagging anyone - the way I write, if I ever wanted to get this thing posted sacrifices had to be made. (;¬_¬) That, and I've already tagged just about everyone I think'd tolerate me asking once before.

Thank you! Would you believe that this is the first bit of feedback I've ever gotten on any of my scrapbook pieces? (I'll bet you would, actually.)
But honestly, it means more to me to receive it than I can say. So much of my work, and especially this series in particular, is (sometimes literally) built on what has personal significance to me, and so little has ever been said about any of it besides what can be implied by the occasional like, reblog, or follow that I haven't been able to help wondering if the appeal really went beyond myself. Not that I'm saying that I'm not delighted with every note and follower I do get! Quite the contrary - but this is something I've been missing, and I very much appreciate it. And while I'm at it... followers, passersby, everyone; hello! If any of you at anytime have questions for me, or anything of the like, please, don't be shy.

Any of the three options would serve for me, personally: the replay retcon, a "choose your own" timeline, or just kinda understanding the real-world reasons behind the whole thing on a meta-level outside of the narrative. All of those work. And honestly, the second option (leaving it to the reader to mentally redistribute the story episodes across whatever constitutes a more believable expanse of time for them) has been my way of keeping the sequence of events and the flow of time in line with the tone of the rest of the thing all along. You know what I mean? Damn near everything else about the world depicted in Simra's journal feels so credible, despite the fantastical setting, that the idea of, say, getting from hold to hold in a matter of a few days or nights stood out in all the wrong ways.
Not that I'm criticizing! *nervous shuffling*
Anyway, as for early volume headcanons, how about this one:
Simra's first journal was canonically lost, along with his father's sword, when he was captured and stripped of all his possessions by the Stormcloak patrol that took him at the Dunmeth pass. If Simra really has been purposefully writing for an audience all this time, and his writings are, at least in part, a calculated bid for posthumous control of his legacy and the chance to eulogize himself... then I imagine he'd regard the loss as a great one. Given how uncomfortable he is with anything that threatens his agency, even symbolically, my bet is that he'd move to retake his position as arbiter of his own legend as soon as possible. After all, the absence of that journal would leave a significant void in the story at a pivotal juncture—the beginning, his beginning—and I doubt he'd be content to allow anyone else to fill it. Regardless of whether the gap was bridged with truth, lies, or conjectures, they wouldn't be his.
So he'd rewrite it. And that could account for both the comparatively grand, mythologizing style of and the dating inconsistencies in the journal we've come to know as the first. Even ordinary people have a tendency to dramatize their lives in the retelling of them, let alone the re-retelling, agendas notwithstanding. Distance from the times in question could conceivably muddle his recollection of the exact dates involved as well. Either that, or it's obfuscation—all caught up with Simra's own peculiar blend of vanity and self-deprecation.
That's it! That's my theory.
