finn’s feet carried him towards the other before he could stop himself. he’d recognize the jedi anywhere ( with the force helping guide him or not ). finn’s smile dropped slightly at the immediate question. finn had rather hoped the other had all his memories, that he wasn’t afflicted like many of the others around town. but nonetheless finn was relieved, seeing luke alive. “we have. but not here.” he was quick to add, knowing how confusing, perhaps painful it’d be to not remember it all. “&& in a different time,” brows furrowed, though finn offered a comforting grin. “but it’s okay. i’m finn. i was part of the resistance with your sister, general leia. though i know that might not mean anything to you now.”

maybe it was just for luke but despite having very few memories of his past, things were going really well for him. unusually well, in fact. he was getting to know his brother in law, han; he’d met an amazing guy who didn’t seem to judge him for the fact he had galaxy-sized holes in his memory, and his job was relatively stable. all things considered, luke was having a great time of it. but he was getting concerned with the hazy moments of deja vu when he met certain people. like the guy walking towards him at that moment. he wasn’t certain that he’d met him but something inside him said the guy was important. “hey, sorry. have we met?”

“ Yeah, tell me about it. ” Alec shook his head, throwing the napkin back onto the table in frustration. “ Damn it. I liked this one, too. ” He muttered. He didn’t know when he got so into fashion, it almost just happened one day. Still, he certainly wasn’t complaining. He knew he was a handsome guy, might as well draw some attention to it. “ In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with a fruity drink every once in a while. I just prefer them in a glass, not on my clothes. ”
“well, guess you’ll just have to spill more drinks on it. that way you can say it was all part of the design. you can buy shirts with purposeful HOLES now, after all.” seemed to johanna something that people in the capitol might once have liked. frivolous, ridiculous things to ‘ make a statement. ’ but to her, the only statement it made was how disgusting they truly could be. “perhaps. though if you can’t taste the alcohol, is there even a point ??”
“ I think I'll just go down && have some pudding && wait for it all to turn up - it always does in the end. ” ~ IVYWOOD BALL OUTFIT / L.L.
to mike, this was like PROM, but even better. some might say he was stuck in high school — wanting to relive the glory days && go back to much simpler times. but honestly, what the hell was wrong with that ?? unlike many, he could only assume, he loved those days. as an athlete he got along alright, more than alright to be perfectly honest. so, mike already was having a good time, drink in hand as he wandered the place when amelia spoke to him. an easy, dimpled grin met her own, nodding enthusiastically as peered around the venue once again. “hell yeah. can’t complain — food, music — it’s all fucking perfect.” only then did he catch onto her words. “wait — you’re tellin’ me you did all this ??” raven brows arched, impressed as smirk widened. “well shit. you deserve at least one drink or something. CELEBRATE a little.”
Amelia had been working events for a long time at this point. Even for being twenty-four, she had more experience than a lot of the people she met during her internship. She probably could’ve done something great there, but her family was more important to her. Her sister was just finishing high school and her mother needed help, even if she wouldn’t come out and say it. Nice thing about Ivywood, they sometimes threw decent events and she got to help. Amelia told everyone she would meet them there, knowing she would have some work to do before the event started. As she finished getting ready, Amelia slowly moved down the stairs, eyes moving over the event happening below. It was okay for her to have fun and to forget about everything going on for a little while, plus she was in love with her dress and excited to get to wear it. Spotting someone, she smiled before speaking. “Are you enjoying the gala so far? I honestly think it turned out pretty great, but I might be a little biased.”

Jo honestly wasn’t much into furniture shopping, but she wanted to redo her writing room in her new apartment. Moving from her parents home wasn’t an easy choice, but she was ready for some freedom. Ready to get out and be on her own. Plus, she had been getting the strangest flashes of what felt like memories and she didn’t know what to think of them. She felt like maybe it was something in her brain telling her to get out and do something. Hearing someone speak to her, Jo turned and listened to her, an entertained grin sitting on her lips. “I think it just depends on what you’re planning to do with it. I’m having the hardest time trying to find the right desk to pick out. Granted though, I’m probably just too picky, but you have to have just the right kind of desk if you’re going to be spending a lot of time at it.” She commented. “What are you buying the furniture for? If you don’t mind me asking.”
・・・・・・
already beverly felt relieved at asking the other’s opinion. “honestly, good question. i kinda feel like my living room just needs a coffee table to pull it all together. but now that you mention it, i have a collection of old records && magazines. might be nice to display some of them a bit more, have them at an easy reach.” while all the more indecisive now, bev perked up as the other mentioned looking for a desk ; beverly always one to help, or at least attempt to. “nothing wrong with being picky, a desk is super important ; has to be the right height && everything. do you have a color scheme in mind ?? might be a helpful place to start, then all your furniture can match or at least not clash.” perhaps not the greatest planner, this did help her when buying her other pieces. “if you want, we could try to help each other out ?? what’s that saying — two minds are better than one ?? it’s corny, but it’s true.”
luna had never been one to overly care about appearances. it’s not that they’d let themselves go, if anything it was the opposite. whatever spoke to her that day is what she’d wear — && luckily sometimes it matched. the questioning STARES was something she was rather used to at this point — as well as the inevitable comments from some. her usual reaction to such, a small grin, quickly formed. “but yellow is such a WARM color. it’s bright — a person can’t not be happy when looking at yellow. that’s just science.” luna rebutted, shrugging their shoulders. “but i will agree with you on periwinkle && seafoam green. those are lovely colors too. they go quite nicely together too — always reminds me of the water or something. — actually i saw a floral shirt at finder’s keepers the other day with those very colors.”
Regina didn’t remember much of anything. To her knowledge, she has always been in Ivywood. Maybe that’s why she felt so assertive as she would have been back at home. Still, she was still the same Regina. Manipulative, brutally honest, beautiful. It was a shame that she wouldn’t have much character development even without her memories. Anyways, Regina was on the prowl for new photoshoot spots. If she wanted to continue her growth on Instagram, and other social media apps, she needed to up her game. On the search for one, however, she spotted someone who, in her opinion, was in a fashion emergency. Even though in high school she wouldn’t say it to their face, she was more than ready to give unsolicited advice. “That color does not look good on you. May I suggest a periwinkle or… maybe even a seafoam green?” Pink was her color, however, but she limited it to Wednesdays.

Hearing a voice, Scorpius sat up and noticed the person standing in front of him, pausing a moment before responding. “Oh, it’s not the books fault. My brain just really isn’t in it today.” He responded, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. He appreciated the offer to help, but really didn’t know how he could be helped. “Honestly, I’m not really sure what you could do. I think my brain is just all jumbled up and it’s hard to get it organized enough to be able to actually function.”
・・・・・・
a knowing grin crossed their features — “i wish my mind had a map or something sometimes. my thoughts always tend to wander && get lost.” sometimes it felt permanent — like when luna attempted to figure out what exactly was going on in this town. “you could try to focus on one thing at a time ?? easy to say i know. sometimes if you focus on the easiest thing && either figure it out or get it done you’ll least then feel accomplished.” luna paused, lips pursed more in thought before continuing. “or simply let yourself feel, think it all. it’s okay to have a bad day.”
social gatherings weren’t exactly johanna’s thing, but she’d be anywhere that had a good drink. velvet bourbon was one of her favorites because they didn’t stiff on the alcohol like most places did. a few drinks && she was almost happily buzzed, enough at least to not be a total asshole. though, admittedly, she almost laughed at the sight of entertainment. “yeah, people around here are dicks. they never change, not matter where you are.” johanna mused, dark gaze wandering over the stain. “that’s not gonna come out. they like their drinks fruity && dark it seems. an asshole who also has bad taste.”
Alec spent just a little too much time at Velvet Bourbon, but he was a social guy and liked to people-watch. At least, this Alec did. Normally, Alec Lightwood would be off working, or spending time with his family, not slicking his hair back in a small mirror in the corner of the dining room. After he determined that every hair was perfectly in place, he turned and was immediately met with a spilled drink on his shirt. “ Hey, this is brand new! ” He called out to the person who had now completely walked away, as if nothing happened. “ Asshole. ” He muttered, reaching for a napkin to blot at the stain.
mike took a moment away from the ball’s festivities, enjoying another glass of whatever beer was on tap. after practically living at frat parties he learned not to be too picky, even despite usual high standards. raven brow arched at the others words before they wrinkled in confusion. “sorry dude, am i supposed to know who that is ??” mike was a hot 100 billboard kind of guy. “what’s the genre ??”

swirling the champagne in his glass, steve rogers stood against the wall, the corners of his mouth upturned as he watched everyone dance. he’d always been fond of dancing, but at the moment, he had decided to simply observe. and anyways, the music wasn’t exactly what he was used to. he wasn’t even sure he knew how to dance to it. “ you think if i requested some ella fitzgerald, it would cause an uproar? ”
missing people beverly didn’t know she should be missing was quite an ODD feeling, but fuck was it s t r o n g the moment she saw any of the losers’ faces. the best of friends she’d ever had. yet, all forgotten in the haze of childhood. “oh my god, mike !!” eyes crinkled along a joyous smile as she met him where he stood, arms wrapping around him in a warm embrace. MEMORIES — a deep voice, the day these bonds were forged, a bloodied rock, a different voice, one mentioning that he heard the name mike, though that one of the three immediately forgotten again. “look at you, all grown up.” she teased, squeezing once more before pulling away to get another look. “how the hell have you been ??”

mike was in a weirdly good place, mentally right now. most of his other friends had turned up and although he knew his memories weren’t quite right, at least he had the information he needed to keep going. and this gala was nice. seeing so many people with their loved ones, happy with each other, it put the nightmares he had of pennywise to the back of his mind. here, he could do what richie had asked of him - think about something that wasn’t it or the strange events that brought them to this town. what he could do, however, was be thrilled to see beverly. “you’re here too,” he exclaimed, stepping forward. “bev?”
