" If Bernard ever wants to hear MY theory, my address is These Legs Are Open Avenue "
"i love you" is old, it's tired.
"i love my motorcycle. it's the purest form of freedom i have ever experienced. it's easily the best purchase of my life and i've never regretted it, not for one second because i love my motorcycle; but ever since i met you, i've been thinking about buying a car" is fun, it's fresh.

i'm sorry if it looks a little weird or inconsistent, my wrist is still a little sore
Ignore how the timeline probably doesn’t make any sense at all
Recently, Damian has heard discussion among some other League of Assassins members about their newest prisoner of interest, the kidnapped Batson boy.
Additionally, Damian knows that he is the Son of the Bat.
The conclusion is obvious.
Their new captive clearly must be his brother (or, well, at least his half brother).
So he goes to see him, and that assumption is only reinforced. Their appearances are remarkably similar, and the other boy had already demonstrated his competence by escaping his cell on his own.
Which he guessed means he’s obligated to help the other boy (his brother!) escape.
…
Billy has no idea what to make of his new… ally? When he’d first crossed paths with the other boy, Billy had internally swore about his bad luck. The assassin boy was going to raise the alarm, and he’d be forced to improvise and quite possibly risk reveal his Captain Marvel powers just to make it out alive.
But then the other boy—Damian, he’d introduced himself as—had shattered those explanations by declaring that he knew they were brothers because they were both sons of Batman, and that it was his brotherly duty to help him escape.
And while the connection thing is just entirely false on Billy’s side of things (“Batson” is just his last name, not an epithet!), he wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. For the time being, he’ll play along and make use of the help his “brother” offered.
Hopefully that lie won’t come back to bite him later. Or if it does, that it’ll be when he’s in a slightly less precarious position.
Wes and Danny aren't enemies. They are two individuals with a highly complex and tremendously confusing relationship composed of mutual deep respect, begrudging fondness, an unspoken understanding that they can never be overtly friendly to each other but would in fact commit murder unprompted on the other's behalf, and petty antagonization.
Danny helps Wes hone his detective skills to a level never before seen on planet Earth. Wes cannot merely connect the dots, because as soon as he does, Danny pulls some temporal-bs/clone-shit to unconnect those dots and Wes has to start over from scratch. No, Wes must find the most hidden dots, the obscurest of connections, the most shrouded evidence that even Sherlock Holmes himself wouldn't be able to deduce, because anything less gets Clockworked out of existence. And then those obscurest of connections get Clockworked out of existence anyway, and Wes progresses to the next level of detective-ing.
Wes helps Danny stay safe from the government and any potential hostile forces in the world of the living -- including Danny's parents. Because if Danny is destroying proof of his halfa status that needs Wes fucking Weston to get uncovered, there isn't a human being or shady government agency in the history of humankind that could deduce Danny Fenton is Phantom.
Outside of their little game of deduction and destruction, Wes has straight up made some of the GIW disappear. And Danny... well. Lets just say that Wes came to school a grand total of once with his makeup smudged -- allowing a trained eye to just barely make out the presence of a bruised face underneath -- and Wes's P.O.S. step-dad was never seen in town again.
In the cafeteria, they absolutely will try to trip each other, and some of the insults they throw back and forth behind the teacher's back are enough to make Dash want to step in and deescalate the situation.
I hate, hate golden trio bashing fics. They have such a ride-and-die friendship like bro they raided a bank together then fled on a dragon they stuck together through so much — while having fights like normal friends do, but the best thing about them? They get back together. No matter what. Thus, coming out of a literal war in one piece, together; if that doesn't tell you how much they love each other then I don't know what to tell you.
