Tea, coffee, water. Drink more than you think you should; it will help you focus!! My recent obsession has been chai lattes. :)
Get ready even if you plan on staying home. Take a shower, do your hair make-up, and do whatever you would do on a regular day, too.
Cosy but cute fit. Something comfortable that still makes you feel pretty and good about yourself.
Set some goals. Whether this be a specific page number you want to reach, a set study time, etc etc., keep it achievable, tho!!
Play around with music and playlists when you lose focus. I always switch between studying in complete silence, classical music, lofi, and more gloomy playlists; this helps me stay focused for longer. :)
Take little breaks, stretch, have a snack, open a window, and catch up with your friends for a bit to avoid feeling burned out or overly exhausted.
Make your study space cosy, light a candle, get a blanket, adjust the lighting and temperature to your liking, and keep your desk organised.
Watch something cosy but motivating like Gilmore Girls if you're just organising your notes, school stuff, or simply studying lighter material to keep you entertained.
Back to school gloominess

cool things i've been up to!
i've been sewing a lot!
so far, I've made, a tote bag (so, so cute, but I gotta wash it so the marking chalk washes off) and I'm currently working on a makeup pouch! I want to make cute summer tops and scandi shorts and pants, basically my whole wardrobe!
i started my sourdough starter
literally this sunday but, at first she died :( because I forgot I live in tropical weather and fed her as if I was in England or something
BUT then I found a different guide and I'm following it and she's thriving, I can't wait to make foccaccia!
i'm rewatching friends
honestly I love it but also rewatching i'm like guys, that is unhealthy lol, such a funny show but i can see it was the 90s (the fits are on point tho)
i'm daydreaming about my future home
i want a white house, with blue shutters...
no just kidding, but I do want a classical house in the countryside with a big garden and to have my own homestead with chickens and cats and carrots and a ton of natural light from the windows and a crafting studio for me
I'm trad-curious like, I want that nature connected life, not the 1950's mindset crap
things I wanna do!
i want to start a garden!
i still don't really know how my living situation will be because of my first year of college yet, but as soon as I do, I want to start a little vegetable garden, i want to hone my homesteading skills
i want to learn to knit
I spent over $60 on YARN, and I haven't used it! tbh it's cause the sound of yarn like existing makes my sensory issues go die but aaaaa I wanna make sweaters, honestly w my headphones on it should be fine but, I just love sewing rn!
i want to exercise again
guys the senior slump is real, like I'm blogging in school rn, and it's like I go to school and since i don't work nor rest I get home drained and feeling unaccomplished :( honestly i want to get my life together but school is such a roadblock! I can't wait for college to have calculus and physics and chem all day long, so that I can come home to my books and my sewing and my gym yk? anyways, I have access to the gym on my street now, and since summer is back, we can use the a.c, so, it's an easy way to get back in it
i want to take better care of my body
in disordered eating recovery, i think that exercise and nutrition wise (at least my relationship w both), i've got it covered, but i've been biting my nails again, and i don't like it, but i can't seem to stop, i just gotta break the inertia of it, if i get up and do my nails, i wont bite them
i think that's it, i lololoooove yapping, so expect these kinds of posts from me!
xoxo,
sofi
don’t care, never cared, will never care

hi angels! it’s finally here… SPRING!! my most favourite season, the suns slowly emerging out the sky, blossoms forming and the days are feeling slowly but surely longer. winter always sticks around just that bit tooooo long for me so to keep my mood and energy up here’s a little guide to romanticising spring now that it’s finally arrived!
wear colours. fill your wardrobe with colours, wear a floral pattern or a brightly coloured pair of socks, be the colour that’s slowly beginning to emerge back into the world.
make a spring playlist and listen to it every morning while you get ready for the day.
try out a lighter, spring like perfume. my favourite at the moment is a beautiful vanilla scent.
eat fresh fruits and vegetables. as more come back into season, fill your plate with colour and abundance. feed your soul, stomach and eyes!
spend time outdoors every day. make it a non negotiable for yourself that you spend time outside, even if it’s only a few minutes, get sun and fresh air on your skin.
make a pinterest board full of outfits, activities, food and anything that encapsulates spring for you.
go through your belongings and donate any you don’t need to charity, spread some kindness and give back to your community.
host a picnic with friends, family or yourself! make lavender lemonade or another floral drink, bake a cake (however messy it turns out) and find a beautiful spot.
read poetry that reminds you of spring, i love mary oliver for this time of year!
find beautiful leaves and petals and press them dry to have as keepsakes.
spend too long making an elaborate drink for yourself. my spring favourite has to be an iced raspberry matcha - tart and pretty.
find a softer, spring makeup routine. think lots of blush and pale eyeshadows for a delicate, floral look.
make your own herbal teas - my favourite recipe is 1tsp each of chamomile, jasmine, dandelion root and peppermint!
wake up to watch the sunrise, open your windows wide, breathe in the cool morning air and calm your mind and body with some light yoga or meditation. let yourself be in the moment.
try some spring journal prompts (will have a post on this coming soon) in a cute journal.
switch oatmeal bowls out for yogurt bowls (my current obsession).
surround yourself with spring media, watch spring films and listen to spring music and read spring books.
go on a cute solo date - i love going to a cafe to read but you could do so many things, go pottery painting or on a walk or to the cinema!
have a deep and thorough spring clean, clear out your space and prepare for a new season.
make a spring bucket list (would be happy to share mine if you’re interested!).
thank you for reading angels! have the most magical, romantic spring ever. take the opportunity to cherish this moment and appreciate how wonderful you are for surviving another winter.
love, m.

you cannot emotionally punish someone for a standard that you created in your head
people will lie. people will hurt you. all you can do is to keep moving on in good conscience, knowing that you did your part
how you treat yourself is a reflection of your self-respect
TRUST. YOUR. GUT. you need to come in clutch for you.
neutral self-talk is better than negative self-talk. small steps, baby steps
an apology is not a quick fix
acceptance is also not something that is owed, to apologies given
if someone demands that you pick a side – between them or another party – i think it's rather obvious which side you pick.
TRUST THAT GUT OF YOURS i can't make this more clear!!!
the people who are right for you will make it known.
after honouring your feelings... sometimes you really just need to say "it is what it is" and move on instead of harbouring that grief and anger for ages
rejection is always redirection but it'll only feel like it once your mindset changes!! :')
water water water water water water
everything gets easier and more pleasant after 10 mins, you just need to push through the first 10

✧ Smoothies That Taste Like Vacation & Heal Your Hormones
Here are 5 pleasure-first, hormone-healing, hot girl rituals disguised as tropical treats. Think: sipping something that tastes like a mango mojito while actually balancing your blood sugar and boosting your glow from the inside out.
Whether you’re syncing your cycle, easing bloat, or just want to feel that girl energy before a date, these 5 smoothies are your new go-to.
✧ 1. Coconut Rose Glow
for glowing skin, reduced PMS, and main character softness
Tastes like: Coconut gelato kissed by a rose garden Best time to sip: Afternoon slump or post-workout chill
Ingredients:
1 cup coconut milk
½ frozen banana
1 tbsp flax seeds (estrogen balancing baddie)
1 scoop collagen peptides
1 tsp rose water
Dash of vanilla extract
Handful of frozen raspberries
Ice to thicken
Flax = hormone harmony. Rose = nervous system chill. Collagen = dewy energy.
✧ 2. Mango Maca Mojito
for libido, energy, and turning heads
Tastes like: A flirty mango mojito with zero regrets Best time to sip: Pre-date or pre-revenge glow-up
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup frozen mango
½ frozen banana
1 tsp maca powder (a literal hormone-adaptogen legend)
Juice of ½ lime
A few mint leaves
Honey or a Medjool date to sweeten
Ice
Maca helps balance cortisol, boost libido, and stabilize mood. Plus mango makes you feel like a goddess on a yacht.
✧ 3. Tropical Moon Milk
for calming cortisol + better sleep = better hormones
Tastes like: Warm vacation air and dreams under palm trees Best time to sip: After dinner or during your wind-down glow-up
Ingredients:
1 cup warm almond milk (or oat milk if you’re fancy)
1 scoop vanilla protein
½ frozen pineapple
½ tsp ashwagandha (stress relief superstar)
Dash of cinnamon
A drizzle of honey
Optional: 1 tsp coconut oil for healthy fat & extra creamy vibes
Ashwagandha regulates stress hormones, and stress is public enemy #1 for hormonal imbalance.
✧ 4. Papaya Peach Goddess
for digestion, clear skin, and “that girl” gut health
Tastes like: Breakfast at a luxury wellness retreat in Bali Best time to sip: Morning or post-salty meal detox moment
Ingredients:
1 cup coconut water
1 cup chopped papaya
½ cup frozen peach
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tbsp chia seeds
Fresh ginger (just a lil' knob, babe)
Optional: probiotic powder or aloe vera juice
Papaya is rich in enzymes that help digestion, which helps hormones clear properly. Gut love = glow love.
✧ 5. Cacao Tahini Sunset
for cycle syncing, PMS cravings, and divine feminine energy
Tastes like: A dark chocolate-dipped date in Morocco Best time to sip: During luteal phase (aka when your body wants chocolate and cuddles)
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp raw cacao powder (magnesium = hormone gold)
1 tbsp tahini (healthy fat, fiber, hormone magic)
1 Medjool date
Pinch of sea salt
Optional: dash of cinnamon or cardamom
Cacao = magnesium for mood + cramps. Tahini = sesame seed phytoestrogens + glow fats. It’s sexy science.
