Get yourself a planner, stick in all your to-do lists, make a vision board cover, write in everything you need to remember, want to think about or must complete. Or, get a Notion, make it aesthetic and build the habit of opening it every day. Use lots of light, blush pinks and pastel greens, make a colour-code and treat yourself to highlighters in your favourite colour combos. The better of an overview you have of your life, the less anxiety and stress the unknown brings you. Protect your peace.

Make some matcha, reapply lip gloss, tidy your desk, let your hair down. Do some stretching or sit in the sun for some vitamin D. Put on classical music and write in your diary, decorate with pink highlighter and gold gel-pen stars. Make your timetable on Canva in your favourite aesthetic. Jog or jump rope to get your heart rate up, feel energised and refreshed.

Light that vanilla-scented candle, get yourself a warm drink and some almonds, or grapes, or cookies. Put on some pink noise or soft instrumentals. Let the sunlight in. Put on a study with me, or a cute pomodoro timer on Youtube. Lay out your work and pens neatly.

Listen in class, make pretty notes. Sit up straight, ask and answer questions. Girl, just do your assignments the day they are assigned. Keep a spotless homework record. Use pink flashcards, do your past papers, write practice essays about things and stories you love. Keep your head up high, even if your grades don't match your standards. Keep improving and growing.

Study because you like expensive things. Study because you have a dream. Study because you yearn for knowledge. Do it because you love yourself and won't settle for anything but the best future. Do it for your family, so one day you can take your parents to Rome or Paris. Give your best so that your teachers can feel proud of themselves. Learn because you want to, not because you have to.

aprilโs vibe: hyperfixation as a lifestyle choice
okay, so. iโve decided april is the month i weaponize my obsessive tendencies. weโre structuring this like a villain origin story meets a Pinterest vision board. no chill, just results. hereโs the plan:
-
Mornings: Alarm goes off at 6:30 AM. no snooze, no TikTok rabbit holes. i splash cold water on my face like iโm in a montage. breakfast is โจliquidโจโblack tea, hibiscus, whatever. fasting till 3 PM because hunger is just capitalismโs way of distracting me.
-Workouts: Leg day? Arm day? Every day Squats, lunges, push-ups, planksโyes, even the thigh gap sculpt stuff. ugh. cardio is me speedwalking away from my own intrusive thoughts.
-Afternoons: Hyperfocus mode. coding lessons, Neocities updates (my 2003-core html shrine), job applications (two a day, minimum), and drawing my OCs like theyโre my emotional support imaginary friends.
-Evenings: Pretend iโm a mysterious artist. video diaries no one will ever see. practicing model poses in the mirror like iโm about to walk NYFW. reading UX/UI textbooks in Italian? Sure. Phone off by 9 PM to avoid doomscrolling into the abyss.
-
Week 1: Reset. Clean my room, delete 1,000 screenshots, make a moodboard thatโs 70% anime OCs and 30% โhire meโ energy.
- Week 2: Delulu escalation. Apply to jobs while listening to โI Am the Bestโ by 2NE1. Code a webpage thatโs just a PNG of a frog. Detox Sunday: no internet, just me and my sketchbook.
- Week 3: Break the comfort zone. Post a cringe video diary. Walk like iโm in Black Swan but make it fashion.
- Week 4: Final boss mode. Five job apps in a day. Code a feature thatโs definitely overkill. Compare progress pics and pretend i donโt scream internally.
WHY? Because by May, i want to look in the mirror and see someone whoโs 10% hotter, 50% more employable, and 100% more feral about their dreams. The kind of glow-up that makes people side-eye me in the grocery store. Skinny toned legend who. Me. Exactly.

Admitting my problems and accepting my feelings: The first step for me is always admitting my problems and accepting how I feel. If you put aside and downplay your feelings theyโll only grow stronger and stronger until they eventually break out. Whenever I used to find myself in a bad place in life I would say โIโm fineโ or โIโm okayโ no matter the situation because thatโs what I wanted to believe. In reality saying those things when your in fact not โFineโ or โOkayโ will never work. Now, instead when iโm in a bad place iโll admit it, โIโm depressedโ but always add more to it.
โIโm depressed. And thatโs okay.โ
โIโm sad. And thatโs okay.โ
โIโm tired/burntout. And thatโs okay.โ
Now that iโve come to terms with how iโm feeling what do I do about it?
Finding out the root of these problems/Whatโs causing them: Connect with your inner self and think about what feelings or events prior to the present may have triggered your feelings. Think about all the other times youโve felt like this, if you have and what reoccurring events happen leading up to it. For example, in my case almost all times before I start feeling down I go through a sort of disappointment and stress. Those feelings cause me to spiral and I fall deeper and deeper into my negative feelings.
What needs to change in order for me to get better?: This is going to be different for everybody. Try to think of simple things you can do that will positively impact your life and situation. Whether it be your environment, your support system, or the way you spend your time, anything you think is best.
How do I do those things?: After acknowledging what needs to change in your life think about what steps you can take in order to change them. Make a plan of action for it! For example I thought one of the things I needed to change was my support system, Iโm not too comfortable talking to family or friends on personal levels so I looked at free online therapy chats and decided I would try one out.
Do them: After developing a plan of action follow through with it! It may be hard but you can do it! A little after finding those chat sites I signed up and talked with a therapist for nearly an hour and though i was quite nervous before, it helped me lots!

๐30 Day Glow Up Challenge ๐ - day three
โก Mindset : Staying off of social media has been helping me with not comparing myself to others. I forgot to read for 10 minutes today I was so busy running around no excuses Iโll make up for it by reading 20 minutes tomorrow. My mindset was so good yesterday my positive self talk has definitely been working I felt so good about myself today and I got a lot of compliments. When you feel good you look good it all starts within. I need to take time to do my affirmations and journaling I fell off of journaling and itโs been hard to get back on track but I will put more effort to get it done.
โก Health : I was doing so well and I cheated on my meal plan. But itโs okay tomorrow is a better day. Iโve been drinking so much water after Ramadan I was struggling with my water intake but luckily Iโve been finding a way to up my water in take. Walking is my favorite form of movement Iโve hit my step goal today. Iโve start with 3K steps and hopefully at the end of this challenge Iโll be walking 5K steps daily. Start small and then work your way up to 10K steps. If youโre able to walk 10K steps daily thatโs amazing.
โก Self Care : Iโve invested so much into my skin care routine and Iโm getting results 5 months of dedication and not only have I realized but other people around me have and have been asking for my skin care routine. Setting a bed time has been so helpful I donโt stay up past 10:30pm I wake up so energized and ready to start my day.
โก Experience : Learning Italian has been so much funnn. I want to go to Italy one day and I hope Iโm somewhat fluent and can communicate and understand the language at that time. Iโve created plans for spring break with some new friends I canโt wait we are planning on going to a all day spa, Korean hot pot, and other fun places Iโm excited to report back to you girliessss<3333
I was going to make these weekly but I decided to make them daily I would love to know how your challenge is going tell me below<3333
As I sat sipping my morning coffee, I couldn't help but wonder: why do we often wait for someone else to take us on a romantic date when the perfect partner has been there all alongโourselves?
We get so caught up in chasing love from others we often forget that sometimes that you can give yourself the love you need too.
Thereโs something soooo empowering about falling in love with your own presence. I mean why wouldn't I want to hangout with myself? I'm amazing, fun and smell good too.
When you take yourself out, you're not just spending time aloneโ you're setting the standard for yourself everytime you get dressed up and go to that fancy restaurant, everytime you grab your tote bag and favourite runners and go exploring in your city, or even monthly spa visits to pamper yourself. make your solo dates pop so you don't settle for less when it comes to romantic partners and platonic friendships
Sunset Beach Walk: Slip into your cutest sundress and wander along the beach as the sun sets. You could even pack yourself some of your fave sparkling drinks and some fruits! and everybody always feels better after they spend some time by the water.
Picnic in the Park: Pack a basket with your favorite snacks, a cozy blanket, and a good book. Find a shady spot under a tree ๐๐
Yoga in the Garden: Roll out your mat in your backyard or a nearby garden. Breathe in the fresh air and stretch your body ๐งโโ๏ธ๐ธ
Gallery Hopping: Spend an afternoon exploring local art galleries. Take your time admiring each piece and journal about it after ๐ผ๏ธ
Stargazing Night: On a clear night, lay out a blanket in your backyard or a quiet park and look up at the stars โจ
Food Solo Date Ideas
Cafรฉ Hopping: Spend a day exploring cafรฉs in your city and act like the main character in a sitcom or romcom. My fave thing about cafe's is people watching and making up storylines about people. โ๏ธ
Gourmet Dinner for One: Dress up and take yourself to that fancy restaurant youโve been eyeing. Put on that dress you've been "saving for a special occasion" and order yourself the whole bottle! ๐ท
Baking Adventure: Try out a new baking recipe and create some new sweet treats, whatever you have leftover you can share with your girls ๐ฅฎ๐ช๐ฐ
Farmersโ Market Feast: Visit a local farmersโ market and pick out fresh, seasonal ingredients. Then, head home and cook a delicious, wholesome meal just for you.
Ice Cream Parlor Indulgence: Treat yourself to a visit to an ice cream parlor.
Remember, darling, you're the star of your own show. Every moment spent with yourself is a chance to fall head over heels for the fabulous person you are. So, slip into that cute outfit, step out with all the confidence of a city girl in stilettos, and let the world bask in your glow.
After all, the greatest romance you'll ever have is the one you create within yourself.
๐ธ Wrapping Up Summer
The last few days of summer are filled summer reading, journaling, baking, antiquing, and going on short trips. Today, I'm headed to Texas for the weekend to attend a conference! I will update you guys on the trip!
About three years ago, I was in the biggest reading slump. It was so bad that it had gotten to the point where I couldn't even read one sentence without picking up my phone to doom-scroll. At that point, I genuinely thought I could never ever get into reading again.
However, when I started romanticising my reading, I was able to finish a whole book in just one week. By romanticising my reading, it was no longer a chore, instead, it felt like an enjoyable experience where I could get lost in the emotions of the story.

"How do you even romanticise reading?"
pick something short and easy to read - a short story, a poetry collection, a graphic novel, an old favourite or comfort read
judge a book by its cover and pick something with a cover-art that interests you
pick something that matches your mood/feeling, here are some of my recommendations: want something gothic and eerie, filled with old secrets? We Have Always Lived in the Castleย by Shirley Jackson want something bittersweet and nostalgic with heartache? Before the Coffee Gets Coldย by Toshikazu Kawaguchi want something empowering and thought-provoking? And Still I Riseย by Maya Angelou want something whimsical and soft, filled with dreamy illustrations? Anne of Green Gables: A Graphic Novel by Mariah Marsden, illustrated by Brenna Thummler
replace your main lights for ambient lighting - fairy lights, candles, salt lamps, mushroom lamps, warm coloured LEDs
turn on some background music to build atmosphere for your book - 90s jazz for classic books, orchestral music for fantasy books
have a drink or snack that you love - I recommend an iced mocha or matcha for summers, and hot chocolate or green tea for winters
sit somewhere comfortable or somewhere that builds atmosphere - I have my bed next to my window which means it's comfortable when I read and I can also hear the crickets during summer nights
use coloured pens or markers to highlight or underline your favourite quotes, and you can even assign different colours to different emotions
stick custom bookmarks or themed stickers to mark meaningful chapters or sections
start a collection jar with paper notes of your favourite quotes that you can read at the end of the year - you can write down the page, chapter, and book so you can always go back to where these quotes came from
jot down your current thoughts and feelings about certain chapters and sections so you can revisit the book in the future to see how your thoughts and interpretations have evolved over time - I like to date these annotations so I know exactly when I wrote my annotations
Remember that progress is still progress, even if it's small ๐งธ
