Wow, in that last gif it really looks like kylo is about to kiss rey. didn’t adam asked rian something about a kiss?
He does!
And my baby girl Rey wants it too.
And Adam did asked Rian if Kylo has ever kissed a girl:
Interviewer: So … is this the first time Kylo has ever held hands with a girl?
Rian: I actually talked about that with Adam [Driver]. Adam was like, “So … have I actually kissed a girl before?” I would think maybe he has. Maybe after hours in the Jedi camp, there was a game of spin the bottle — “spin the lightsaber…”

Why would Adam (a very methodic actor) ever ask this question to the director and writer of the film if it wasn’t relevant to the story and his character? Maybe they thought about including a kiss during this scene but decided it was best to wait for the next installment and make it a “almost kiss” moment instead. Personally,I think it was the right decision because they kissing and then Kylo saying “Rey,I saw who your parents are” would be very awkward.

“Star Wars is an optimistic, spiritual world, and more like a fairytale […] Ever since I was a kid, all that matters to me is the love story. It’s the thing I had to find first. Sometimes, [the love story] is obvious, sometimes a bit more complicated.” - JJ

“We’ve tried to pick up that complicated relationship that really has been present ever since the interrogation in Episode VII. When Ren takes off his mask, there’s a nakedness about him with Rey that he doesn’t express to anyone else. Rian developed that in fascinating ways and we’ve been able to develop it even further.” - Chris

“For example, we looked at it like a Western, or a fairytale. What are the elements you’re going to see that makes it this genre, this specific genre? […] You’re probably going to have a castle and a prince and a princess, if you’re looking at a fairytale.” - JJ

“When his mask comes off, you see Adam Driver, and he just looks like a sort of prince.” - JJ

“In this scene she (Rey) is drawn to this place, almost like Cinderella.” - JJ

“And we’re back in the forest with the story that we really care about, the focus of the story, which is Rey and Ren.” - JJ

“What makes this story have a beating heart? We simply approached this narrative from the point of view that this is a story about a young man and a young woman, not with the idea that we can do anything we want.” JJ

“I will say, without talking about redemption or not, that he (Adam) is mind blowing in this. Like he’s brought a whole other level to this. So I can’t wait for you to see what happens to him. It’s pretty fun.” - JJ

“A bond between two living beings is not something easily broken. It is not a choice…it is like breaking a feeling. Like turning away from the Force. To break a bond, your feelings would have to change, or one of you would have to die—but even then, the bond wouldn’t go away, it would simply…it would simply be empty, a wound.” - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Wookieepedia

Recent comic releases: Show Rey struggling with the Force, not finding belonging with the resistance, feeling isolated and alone. Show Ben Solo fleeing from the Jedi students who wrongly accuse him of murder, show him literally using the Force to stop himself from dying after being yeeted.

Or more commonly known as:
It’s a fairytale. It’s a complicated fairytale. It literally has a prince and Rey is referred to as a princess. I’d argue it might even be loosely inspired from Beauty and the Beast.
And if it doesn’t end with a redeemed, alive Ben Solo…I don’t even have words for that kind of clownery. That’s D&D S8 level nonsense and I don’t think JJ wants a seat at that table. I’m just saying.
One last thing. JJ is raving about Adam, and has since TFA. He is not going to do him the disservice of that kind of shitty writing. DANY would have a more meaningful death, and we know how shitty that was. (Ben shows up only to do nothing in the final fight and bite the bullet before it even begins, giving the audience - and Adam - a beyond dissatisfying and insulting death? PLEASE.)
Please feel free to add more…I’ve typed enough and I’m tired.

A good reminder of why we keep getting Reylo Fighting scenes:
Every single TV spot/trailer being shown literally doesn’t say a thing about where any of the characters are ending up in the film. We have nothing on Poe, Finn, Rose, Rey, Ben, Leia, etc. because it’s what we call a spoiler.
So it’s a good thing we’re getting Reylo fighting, because it means it’s not a big spoiler.
It means we’re not gonna sit in the theater and go, “wow so the movie ended with Rey and Ben fighting! Totally didn’t see that coming.”
It means we’re blatantly being told this is not something worth hiding from the public before the movie premieres.
The character development for every single character in tros will not be revealed in TV spots or trailers. Reylo on opposite sides isn’t worth hiding.
Reylo together is.
LOVE/HATE??!!?! ATTRACTION??!?? DAISY I CAN’T-
“I’m really appreciative of the relationship between Rey and Kylo, and what the writers managed to do with it. This kind of love/hate relationship. As if something drew them towards each other despite their will.”

Lay me on a bed of roses!!!
Guys - It’s been announced recently that the American Music Awards will be honoring me with the Artist of the Decade Award at this year’s ceremony. I’ve been planning to perform a medley of my hits throughout the decade on the show. Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun have now said that I’m not allowed to perform my old songs on television because they claim that would be re-recording my music before I’m allowed to next year. Additionally - and this isn’t the way I had planned on telling you this news - Netflix has created a documentary about my life for the past few years. Scott and Scooter have declined the use of my older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either of them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.
Scott Borchetta told my team that they’ll allow me to use my music only if I do these things: If I agree to not re-record copycat versions of my songs next year (which is something I’m both legally allowed to do and looking forward to) and also told my team that I need to stop talking about him and Scooter Braun.
I feel very strongly that sharing what is happening to me could change the awareness level for other artists and potentially help them avoid a similar fate. The message being sent to me is very clear. Basically, be a good little girl and shut up. Or you’ll be punished.
This is WRONG. Neither of these men had a hand in the writing of those songs. They did nothing to create the relationship I have with my fans. So this is where I’m asking for your help.
Please let Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun know how you feel about this. Scooter also manages several artists who I really believe care about other artists and their work. Please ask them for help with this - I’m hoping that maybe they can talk some sense into the men who are exercising tyrannical control over someone who just wants to play the music she wrote. I’m especially asking for help from The Carlyle Group, who put up money for the sale of my music to these two men.
I just want to be able to perform MY OWN music. That’s it. I’ve tried to work this out privately through my team but have not been able to resolve anything. Right now my performance at the AMA’s, the Netflix documentary and any other recorded events I am planning to play until November of 2020 are a question mark.
I love you guys and I thought you should know what’s been going on.

Why can’t you at least consider the idea that the central love story of the saga might not be romantic love? It could be about Rey finding a family and Ben reconnecting with his
No offense, but why would I, when the creators clearly haven’t? It doesn’t match the tone of any of the Reylo scenes we’ve gotten so far.
He didn’t offer to be her teacher because he has a keen interest in Academia.
She didn’t reach out to him just for a handshake.
He didn’t beg her to join him because he wants them to rule the galaxy as pals.
She didn’t priority mail herself to him because there was nothing good on TV that night.
He didn’t say “but I do [know you]” because he wants to braid her hair and discuss TIE models.
She wasn’t hurt and disappointed post-TLJ because she was missing a buddy.
Familial love is undoubtedly a key aspect of SW, but it’s not what Ben & Rey share, and I think it’s been made pretty obvious by everyone involved in this project that TROS (and the entire ST) is about what Ben & Rey share.
