I read The First Bad Man by Miranda July. Then I did a thing.
finally working on some new things - feels so good! as well as stocking the shop for the festive season, i have a magnificent deadline for making things thanks to a craft fair on 4 december. i've written a to-do list for pretty much every day over the next few weeks.
above you'll find a cat i drew yesterday - possibly the best cat i have ever drawn.
a black cat has crossed your path, what luck! this little screen-printed chat noir can be found over in my shop.
i finally got around to adding photos from my trip to flickr. i took my old 35mm practika that used to belong my my dad; i hadn't actually used it for a couple of years, which certainly shows. it was so nice to get some images developed after so long however (despite the price), & these are my only real physical souvenir from the trip so i'm grateful that they came out. you can see the rest of them here (towards the bottom).
as a side note, i'm surprised by how much i genuinely miss toronto. i'd never been so sad to leave somewhere before in my life.
i've been itching to make some new totes for a while, & not long ago came up with this guy; a big ol' lion on a big' ol tote. i'm liking how this golden feline stands out against the dark navy cotton, & i hope you like it too. you can find these over in my shop for £10/$15.
today's girl face is girl face #50! i don't know how long i'll end up doing the project for but fifty feels like some sort of milestone. above is one from just over a week ago - i have my favourites & she's one of them.
bit of silence here as i work on some images for other people. currently in the midst of getting some new prints done, which is taking a little time as i try to fine-tune the final outcome in terms of colour & size. slowly getting there. will also be bringing back an oft-requested image that i sold out of some time ago, once it looks right in digitally-printed format.
in other news, i'm up to day eighty over on girl faces. you can read a nice little post on the project over on the fox is black.
