who are you when you are not watching tv or movies? when you aren't playing video games or reading a book or fanfiction or listening to music or whatever other kind of media that you engage with? who are you when your mind isn't in another world or story, when you are forced to sit with yourself and the only experience you have is your own sensorial life? can you define yourself outside of what you consume? who is that person? do you like them? can you bear it? can you bear it?

Your life as a Muslim should make nonbelievers question their disbelief in Allah.

Surah Al-An'am Ayat 54

Listen, O Liberty, and harken unto us. Turn your gaze towards us, O mother of the earth’s inhabitants. For we are not the offspring of your rival. Speak with the tongue of any one of us; for from one spark the draw straw catches fire. Awaken the sound of your wings the spirit of one of our men; for from one cloud one lightning flash illuminates valley-lanes and mountain- tops. Disperse with your resolve these dark clouds. Descend as a thunderbolt. Destroy like a catapult the props of those thrones erected on bones and skulls; plated with the gold of taxes and bribery; soaked in blood and tears. Allah swt sees your daily struggles, He knows your internal dilemmas, He hears your silent questions, He recognizes that you're trying and He appreciates your weak attempts to strive in His path. He would never let your efforts go astray. The reward is coming. The relief is coming. The faraj is coming. Keep going my dear. Never stop trying. Never stop striving. Never stop walking towards Allah swt.

As soon as you realise that everything, truly, is controlled by Allah you will be happier.

You need to internalise it. Every little thing is controlled by Allah so if something goes wrong, something will go right-

and if you’re sad today, tomorrow you will be happier
