As an asexual I sometimes forget that sex exists and that sexual things exist, and that they are in fact not just in the media. As an aromantic, I forget that people can feel romantic feelings because all I feel is friendship.
I love how I started out writing a comic book, while thinking I must be cis and pan, and now that I’m nearing the end of it, I’m trans, non-binary, and aroace. Granted, before that I thought I was cishet, and kinda just denying way too many fucking things about myself. Upon admitting them through storytelling, I somehow feel much much gayer. This is probably because I feel more comfortable in my skin now. Thank you for my TEDTalk.
Am I gonna talk about my aroace-ness again? Yes, yes I will
I fucking love being aroace. I may be a teen and others may be falling in love and doing the big sex (I find sex funny cause I don’t get it, but good for them). I am perfectly content with all my friends and I love them to the earth, the moon, the stars, the vast universe, and all the way back again. I love to hear their stories and their perceptions. I could gush over all my friends all day. I’m glad that I don’t have to deal with as much drama due to lack of interest and attraction. Also good for other aros who feel little attraction and good for aros who still want relationships, ya’ll do be swell. That about wraps it up :)
You know what’s better than romance and sex. Food. Garlic bread and cake coming my way.

Being polyamorous while also being aroace has been the most confusing shit of my life. I just wanna vibe in a polycule and I want to feel cared for. I feel cared for my friends at the moment, so I’m okay now, but it’d be nice in the future, cause I don’t wanna live alone. I really shoulda known I was aro though....like the signs were so obvious...and ace even more obvious. I am glad though that I basically embody chaos at this point.

So I’m aroace...pretty sure I’m repulsed by romance and sex, but like sometimes the romance is just fucking cute and sex scenes are just a bore...like dude....I’m lookin’ for actual plot (also sometimes when they come up I’m like...welp I guess it’s a death day). Anyways, I’m working on being romance and sex positive because I wanna respect other people, even if I don’t necessarily understand it. But also when I read loveless I didn’t necessarily know I was aroace...and I was like “I gotta experience some ATTRACTION!”...so I thought I was aroflux/aceflux and then I saw Jaiden Animations video and it finally clicked...but now I know why I thought many things were stange. HURRAH!!! Also a-spec peeps, have some cake or garlic bread or really just some food...cause food is legit.
Idk if this is just me, but I just CAN’T seem to find Mcu Peter Parker romantically/sexually attractive??????? (not really the others either, but I haven’t seen the other 5 Spidey movies so I can’t exactly say) Like, how do y’all do it?????? He’s technically 4 years older than me but we’ll be the same age when he would/will come back from the snap. {is sad in ‘05 child}

sexual attraction seems weird, like a couple days ago my drama class was watching a movie and the guy took his shirt off and loads of girls were freaking out... like yes the man has titties
(these pictures are from internet drawing bases I put into ms paint except for the last four those are piccrews I put into ms paint) (Before we get to the actual post I just need to say I do plan on making this a book or comic or something the base concept is demons (they have no religious aspect of any kind to them) exist and live alongside humans but there is an agency of demons that protect the world from threats (mainly other demons trying to take over the world and shit) all demons have some unique power, wings, and horns (demons can make make their horns and wings disappear and reappear at will) (Some don’t have wings but that’s either due to genetic mutation or someone cut off their wings same for horns) (also all of them have another form idk what to call it yet but I’ll draw it and post it later) it shall be very gay (if you have ideas for this series message me)) These are the first of my many demon ocs the one with the crown is Nathan(aro-ace cis-male pronouns: he/him) He is usually very serious but occasionally he will make a joke or crack up at others jokes he’s the planner of the group no one ever follows his plans which annoys the fuck out of him (his power is storage he can store anything including people. These things go into an infinite void he can teleport anything into this storage void as long as he’s touched it sometime within an 1 hour if he teleports people into it they don’t remember what the inside was like. He cannot store himself.) (his origins are strange as are Ello’s (the one on the right) he comes from a concept I found from reading a creepypasta fanfic which I then included in my creepypasta oc (to read my creepypasta oc’s story go to Wattpad my account is https://www.wattpad.com/user/Sundrop247Roleplay and read The dark prince) Ello (pansexual and nonbinary pronouns: she/they) the blonde one, is easygoing, very sassy, and they are very powerful (their power is chains she can grow chains from her body which they can freely manipulate. These chains can be used for various purposes such as offensive maneuvers or grabbing things. These chains remain attached to her, and if they are broken or she removes them the detached chains immediately evaporate.) the other one with black and yellow hair is me im pansexual and nonbinary my pronouns are he/they/it +most neopronouns just call me by my username, any characters I kin(if you know what characters those are), shortened versions of my username (ex: local), or my name Alex.... also yes I’m totally self-inserting myself into this universe with my demon characters... also yes many aspects of how I drew myself are not how I actually look but how I wanna look.... no my self insert will not be a demon but will be a human who somehow can use the powers of the demons (I haven’t thought of how that will work yet) no I will not be the main character no one will be... that is all goodbye...

I’ve seen some confusion about this lately, so just to clarify:
Every character with a mostly green color scheme is canonically aromantic.
Every character with a mostly purple color scheme is canonically asexual.
Neither of these are up for debate. Hope that helps!

Asexual people are in the lgbtq community!! Stop acting like we're not
The entire point of this community is to have a safe space and accepting group of people for those who don't align with the majority of our current society and face discrimination for not being part of the norm
It's not about "if you're gay enough", it's about finding safety in a large group of people and fighting for our rights.
One cool thing about being asexual is that your self worth is completely independent of how attractive you are. I don't have to give a single shit about whether there's anyone on God's green earth who wants to fuck me because there's not a single person I want to fuck. I'm free. I'm also hot as fuck but it's completely irrelevant. It only matters to the extent that it lets me get away with not caring about how I look

On this week, one year ago, I came out for the first time, to my best friend. Her good reaction encouraged me to be progressively more open about it ever since. If you are ace (or on the ace spectrum) here’s some things I need you to know:
• You are loved
• You are not broken
• You will find someone who appreciates you
• You matter
• You are allowed to have boundaries
• You are valid
• You don’t have to justify your identity to anyone
• You are so fucking amazing and beautiful and wonderful
• You deserve to be happy
If you want to support the acespec community and be a good ally, here are some things I need you to know:
• Aces exist
• Asexuals are not broken or unnatural
• Society is inherently sexual, but aces are not lacking anything that would make them less human
• Asexuals can feel any way towards sex
• Asexuality is not the same as celibacy
• Asexuality is not a choice
• Being asexual doesn’t mean you can’t or won’t have sex, nor the opposite
• Whether or not an asexual person has had sex before is none of your business (and the answer doesn’t invalidate their asexuality at all)
• Aces are people, and their individual boundaries deserve to be respected, period
• Asexual itself is both a specific identity and an umbrella term
• Asexuality is a spectrum
• If someone says they’re ace, know that they might still experience some feelings of sexual attraction, and don’t try to invalidate them for it
