I think Purple n King should definitely talk to each other bout, their own whole thing(Gold and Cobalt[aka Purple's dad]), and be for each other
I'm still processing ep30 and these two, so yeah. Have this drawing of them talking bout their emotions! and them sleeping after it
(heavily related to drawing, I feel like, King would be to have more of a breakdown when talking bout his emotions than purple. Purple already let it out with Green at ep29 and properly felt his own emotions and not much of a weight on him, but King on the other hand didn't really have a moment to properly feel it, he tunnel-visions his anger, and aimed to end Minecraft without caring about anything else[and perhaps he included] so, to finally talk about it must've been such a rollercoaster of emotions)
Thinking abouutt... When Purple first presented themselves to King as someone potentially useful for his scheme, their first idea was to show their skills in combat (as one would, not really a surprise there)
Which didn't seem to faze King at all, he stood unresponsive but still had the door wide open as if he was waiting for something else, or something more.
Purple mimicked the awkward pause because they were expecting that to work. But they're a fast thinker after all,
So plan B! Their elytra. Purple discovered the elytra during their venture at The End, assumably using it since then; though we don't get much glimpses of Purple's status post!discrown and pre!introduction with King.
But you know, they have quite the skill in acrobatics as well, using their elytra to compliment that score. That seemed to finally have King nod in approval as he gestured for them to come on in.
Since the duo’s first introduction, Purple keeps their elytra with them, practically glued to the thing. At first, I thought Purple took a likening to the elytra because.. well, it's fun. You can fly. It's freeing. The feeling of the air hitting your face is nice. But most of all, it enhances your skill (especially in combat) and provides an upper hand.
...but now I'm starting to think that the reasoning is a bit more complex than I initially thought.
What if their likening to the elytra grew double in size because that was the material that gave King that greenlight approval nod?
If it be recovering from a meltdown upon their disagreement aftermath, retrieving the elytra onto their body once more, then dissociating for a bit before getting up off their feet and bowing to an image of King.
Or Purple who had their elytra throughout the entire span of the series, yet the only time it is deliberately highlighted in their mindscape sequence is when they're out on their climatic heights with approval from their dad (or King who took that spot)

In conclusion, their pronouns are He/Him, but as they are just beginning the transition to boy, that is why their very feminine and defined features are clearly seen...
