I love the character of Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3. He's truly the character ever because he's every single vampire trope at once but they all cancel each other out.
Like, he only drinks animal blood but not because he doesn't want to hurt people, he's just never been allowed before. He hurts people all the time, it's one of his favorite things to do. He acts drunk after drinking a bear's blood because it kicked the shit out of him first. He's 200+ years old and still lvl 1. He's foppish and high class but has been eating rats and bugs in a crypt for 200 years. He can go out in sunlight and gets sad if he's underground because he misses the sun. He lies all the time but he's a terrible liar so it's always super obvious. He's brooding but also whiny. He has no reflection but mostly is just sad about it because he misses petty vanity. He's suave but his sense of humor is essentially "man slips on banana peel" and he'd lose his mind laughing at basically any Money Python Sketch. He's so extremely, powerfully bisexual.
I'm deeply in love with him.
Getting 50 hours into BG3 and realizing my first character doesn’t feel like a character and wanting to start a new playthrough

he just laughs at the worst times and shows a very strong and odd fascination towards all the gore and messed up situations, to the point it even surpasses durge’s.
somehow he always has the strongest health potions that he “obtained”. he collects skulls and bones he finds, along with some organs??
Has really strange humor and is almost always smiling. didn’t bat an eye at a companion being a vampire, only asking if he could study the extent of the affliction. didn’t bat an eye at the time-bomb in the wizard, only asking if he could also study that and possibly try to remove it?? somehow comes up with various solutions to help calm your other companion’s infernal engine only using the bare recourses you have.
he mutters in a language no one understands and withers said something about this guy have multiple souls???? you aren’t even sure if he’s human anymore.
I will forever be sad that Durge can’t bring Orin to camp with them and have her join as they both work to redeem themselves.
Gotta say, overall? Love most Astarion ships— but Wyllstarion is so precious to me. Like,, look at them!! The duo!! Like Yin and Yang!!! Fancy storybook prince and creature of the night!! Look at them!! And they help each other!!! THEY HELP EACH OTHER!!!

and also Astarion and Shadowheart dynamic is really interesting in my opinion. (Though to be fair I just love Shadowheart and think she’s great with everyone.) I think they could have such a sweet like redemption together and relationship. But also they totally are the type to just start wrestling or tripping each other on purpose because “you stole my mascara >:(“ and being passive aggressive about it.
I will always find it so funny that apparently according to Gortash, Bane approves of the alliance between him and Durge. Like Bhaal is losing his mind over it, whispering murderous thoughts to his chosen, being like “no, you will rule alone, we will betray him in the end, kill him!”
And Bane is just like, “Heheh :) they’re talking :) Gonna smush them together like dolls :)”
(I imagine Bane was just like “AYOOO????”)
Meanwhile Durge is just busy thinking about their girlfriend who just spit in Shar’s face.
the amount of guilt redemption Durge must have everytime someone brings up the fact they were the cause of the whole illithid thing has to be staggering. Like damn bro they’re already feeling sucky about all their other previous actions they’re still learning about 😭
y’all think in the route of saving shadowheart’s family, dark urge feels more inclined to persuade Shadowheart to save them because of their own guilt and trauma regarding how Bhaal forced them to kill their adoptive families?

Now that the GOTY awards have happened imma say it, I did not care for Spider-Man 2.
It’s a brilliant game and deserved some kind of award but it’s not GOTY material. It’s not groundbreaking :/
