no_hay_identidad_05: Sureste
Sureste es una banda oriunda de Guadalajara, Jalisco, México conformada por José Luis Camarena, Aldo Rodríguez, Ramón Parra, Jesús Tello y Jacob Barajas (Diciembretrece). Considero que es una de las mejores bandas que han salido de la escena actual. Tienen un sonido muy característico pero complicado de categorizar, con secciones de spoken-word y muchas texturas que recuerdan mucho al post-rock. Yo los categorizo como "soft grunge" al no tener algo mejor que poner en mi biblioteca. Los compararía con bandas como Citizen, Movements, Balance and Composure, Grandview entre otras.
Cuentan con un álbum y dos EPs. Su primer EP, Somos Caminos tiene un sonido melódico y secciones de spoken-word gritado. En su primer álbum, Tiempo / Ausente evolucionaron de una increíble manera su sonido, puliendo y mejorando todos los aspectos de su trabajo, además de colaborar con Fernando Obregón (Naivete, Joliette, Acrobata), Konrado de INSITE y Andrés González de Say Ocean. Recurren a crescendos y coros muy pegadizos y emotivos. T/A es una obra con mucha cohesión, una historía y un mensaje muy bien contados que nunca falla en hacerme sentir cosas. Su último trabajo, Quiescente, solidifica el sonido de la banda y cuenta sobre la dificultad de crecer y madurar, sentir que el tiempo se nos acaba y que la vida va más rápido que nosotros.
En fin, es una banda increíble que recomiendo ampliamente, denle una escuchada y ojalá los disfruten tanto como yo.

no_hay_identidad_04: Naïveté
Naïveté es una banda de screamo/post-hardcore de Puebla, México. Este proyecto nació durante la pandemia del 2020 de las mentes de Fernando Obregón (ex. Joliette, Acrobata), Sergio Chazari y Shasha y Antonio Vazquez de la banda Leñadores. Hasta ahora cuentan con un album, un split con la banda colombiana Vientre, y su participación en el compilado "Ningún Humano es Ilegal".
Su primer album titulado naïveté es una combinacion explosiva de caos y melodias, podria catalogarse como screamo, post-hardcore y hasta tintes de mathcore.
Naïvete es una de las bandas mas importantes de la escena actual de México, colaborando con proyectos como No Somos Marineros, Satón, Sputnik, DJ Perro, entre otros. De la misma manera han alternado con bandas internacionales como Ostraca, Quiet Fear, Nuvolascura de EE.UU. y Vientre de Colombia.

DJ Perro es una banda instrumental de Puebla, Mexico, conformada por Carlos Martínez (composición y guitarra), Axel Ibáñez (guitarra), Alejandro Solís (guitarra y producción), Rafa (batería) y Luis Granados (bajo). Su música puede ser definida de muchas maneras, han excursionado en el rock experimental, el math-rock y el post-rock y se caracterizan por sus intrincadas melodías y por lo inovadores que son con su sonido, reinventándose constantemente sin perder la esencia de lo que los hace únicos. Actualmente han producido dos albumes con uno mas en camino. Han colaborado y abierto para proyectos como Cotoba, Archipielagos, Mom Jeans, Anamanaguchi y los veteranos del math-rock en México, Austin TV. Su música ha sido muy influenciada por los videojuegos, sampleando juegos como Super Smash Bros. (del cual son muy fans), ademas de incluir mucha inspiración de los géneros de la musica tradicional mexicana.
no_hay_identidad_02: Luna Sedata
Luna Sedata es una de mis bandas favoritas de Mérida, México, formada por Serena Cuevas (bajo y voz) y Víctor Medina (guitarra y coros) en el 2024, a la cual posteriormente se unió Cesar Gutierrez, antiguo miembro de Per Se, en la batería. Actualmente cuentan con un single publicado aunque su set en vivo contiene mas canciones. Ellos describen su sonido como una combinación de post-hardcore y screamo con toques de math rock. Su música evoca un hermoso sentimiento de perseverancia cuando uno esta sumergido en la tristeza. Aunque su catalogo es muy resumido iremos actualizándolo conforme crezca su discografía.
Uno de los mejores proyectos que han salido de la escena de Mérida.

Krayon es una banda originaria de Mérida, México, conformada por Manuel Garrido (sintetizadores y voz), Carlos Mondragón (voz y bajo), Adrian Melo (guitarra y voz), Carlos Gomez (guitarra y voz) y Jacob Franco (bateria) Estuvieron activos entre 2005 y 2010, aunque dan un show una vez al año desde ese entonces con algunas variaciones en su alineación. Durante su existencia sacaron un album, dos EPs y un single, el album contiene algunas canciones que regrabaron de su primer EP y fue sonado en la mayoría de las radios independientes de México ademas de ser el único en existir en formato físico. Su sonido puede ser descrito como Neon Pop-Punk o Synth Emo ya que el uso del sintetizador es una de sus principales características. Puedes escuchar la honestidad y las ganas de querer hacer música de un grupo de jovenes. Espero no equivocarme, pero aunque tienen letras bastante tristes, su música es muy divertida y parece que la pasaron increíble haciéndola.

still thinking about it but a few days ago i found out my friend has absolutely no idea what bandcamp is. what!!!! i admit i still need to make the move over to bandcamp but its just. better!!!!!! like wdym they arent as stingy as spotify and actually provide a usable free user experience.. and they pay their artists??? awesome.
point is i like bandcamp. use bandcamp. yay!

New Album!
As of a few days ago, I've finished my second album! I'm still working out the last details with the artist of the album art, but the music itself is complete, and I'm hoping to be able to release everything sometime within the next week. Here's the second track, "Immer unter demselben Mond"

There was a solo for alto sax in our marching band piece and none of the saxes had looked at it before camp (I had but it was for someone playing alto on the field and I’m on clarinet), but when we played through the beginning of the part where the solo would be I naturally played it because why not no one else was going to that time. Then our band director realized I had looked at it and decided to make it available for audition to any instrument.
One of the other clarinets and one of the altos tried out too (the other clarinet worked on it over the summer as well). I don’t know who’ll have the solo yet but I’m just glad I’m the reason it was even an audition.
I’ve realized that the two things I’ve been doing consistently now that school is out have been: reading and being excited for marching band.
I HAVE other things I’m doing this summer aside from band but my brain has decided that I should be excited band camp not going to the beach with family or drama camp noooo BAND
