I really really hope this time next year we’re all like “wow I sure am glad they didn’t rush buddie canon at the very end of season 8, and they actually gave Eddie a real arc about it and we got to see buck deny his feelings even though Eddie is no longer straight which all led up to a mutual Feelings Realization and Mutual Pining from both of them and we really got to do a will they/wont they. remember how mad we were haha. good times”
If I had a nickel for every time I've had a gay ship in a TV show in which one of them was an army doctor that served in Afghanistan who got shot in the shoulder, got stuck in a well, got married and had a child but then lost his wife, and the other one had curly hair and blue eyes and a secret middle sibling they didn't know about until later in life and they were best friends who were introduced by someone else and coparented the former army doctor's kid and have been mistaken for a couple several times, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

potentially a controversial opinion but Eddie’s Texas storyline has been amazing for buddie for a lot of reasons but the best reason is the absolute surge of phone sex fics
eddie went to the seeley booth school of being actively behind the wheel but only staring at his passenger princess instead of the road
I do think the funniest thing they could do would be make episode 12 like a short film about how awful texas is and how Eddie has been blisteringly in love with buck and aware of it the whole time
