[...a son, of many shifts, blandly cunning, a robber, a cattle driver, a bringer of dreams, a watcher by night, a thief at the gates, one who was soon to show forth wonderful deeds among the deathless gods.]
Praise Lord Hermes by taking the time to write. In a journal, a blog, a notes app, anything. Just write.
Devotional act idea: "Adopt" a wild animal.
Finally finished this filet crochet project of the goddess Hestia!
I'm insanely proud of it and it's currently being blocked
Done with a 1.5mm hook, pen for scale below:
I don’t care what they say, Apollo is the god I do love and worship and support ☀️❤️
Hey does someone have recommendations (books, social media,videos,...) when you want to get into hellenismus ?
Every time I see an absolutely gorgeous altar, it's always for Aphrodite.
Literally me and Athena
Do any of you do handmade offerings?
I really only do handmade offerings for a lot of reasons, but mostly because I love crafting.
I weirdly see DIY offerings, so I was wondering if anybody else does it.
If so, what is your favorite handmade offering?
Me and my deities
If somebody is crazy enough to do it:here are some Greek statues Papercraft!
I'm actually going to try to make this! Also I don't even have a printer so I will have to manually trace and shade it, wish me luck y'all
Also this one is free!
This one is paid!
Also paid
Scroll to the comments and you'll find a link, also free!
And there's a YouTube tutorial

Unfortunately that's all I could find! I also found some guy on Reddit Athena's bust statue but he only shared the link on DMS and seemingly isn't active anymore.
If you have any more, please share!
Me when I see something related to my deities in public
I can't have statues so what I do is this:
Instead of the hb character is a photo of a statue!
I think it's a cool alternative
I remember when I was just getting to know Helpol, I was nervous, like what if it's really strict? What if I have to pray 10 times a day and veil every day?
Then in reality the religion is so chill and calm, lol.
I wonder how the gods feel about offerings nowadays .
Like they used to get magnificent temples and statues done for them, and now:
They get offered paw patrol figures and Cheetos
Have you had dreams about your deity(ies)?
For me, I have had a bunch! Just wondering what your experiences are.
Athena: My first deity dream! Basically I dreamt that I was outside a temple (not Greek, but I knew it was a temple somehow) and there was a lot of fog.
I was in the garden and holding a bracelet, which was the latest offering I had given her at the time, but her name was misspelled!
Suddenly I hear a voice saying, "She's glad her (?) is back (?)"
And I woke up. What does it mean? No idea.
Artemis: probably the most direct ones.
I dreamt that I was in a shop, and they had a bow and arrow section for some reason.
I started shooting with one of them and realized how great and nice it felt.
Then I woke up; I made her a cardboard bow and arrow because of it.
The second one, I was commissioning a lady to make me a doll of Artemis, but instead of saying her name, I kept saying "my goddess."
I was getting frustrated because I couldn't find a photo of Artemis to show her on my phone.
It was like she never existed—also, the lady was making the doll an e-girl for some reason.
I took it as Artemis wanting a doll that looked like her, since I had given Athena an offering like that.
---
Hermes: This one is short, but basically I was an old lady that had dedicated her life to Hermes, and I went out to my garden, and I had a bunch of statues of him.
And I woke up.
That's all; if they are just random stuff I dreamt of or actual signs, I have no idea.
Still interesting, though.
I told lady selene how I wish I could see her more often
And now I see the moon every night!
It's truly is lovely, thank you lady selene 🕯️🌖!
Did you have traits of your deities as a kid?
Recently I realized I had traits of the deities I ended up worshipping and thought it was interesting.
Athena: I have always been a curious child seeking wisdom. Instead of telling me bedtime stories, my dad would ask me, "What do you want to know about?" and he would put on a YouTube video about the topic.
I also used to follow those shitty "did you know…?" Ig accounts; I just wanted to know more no matter the topic.
For her goddess of crafts aspect, that's the one I most strongly connect with.
I LOVE crafting. Ever since I was a kid, I literally craft something new every day, and if not, I'm thinking/looking for what to craft next.
Artemis: I was obsessed with the movie "Brave" as a kid; I wanted to be a hunter and live in the forest so badly.
I had a bunch of toy bows and arrows that I would play with all day, so basically I wanted to be like Artemis.
I know I would have gone crazy if I knew about her at that age, lol. (And I did go "Wait, that's literally me" when I learned about her.)
Selene: My name is literally Moon (Luna). I have always been obsessed with the moon since I was young.
One time I was looking at her, and my parents called out to me, but I was in some kind of trance just looking at her.
My dad had to touch me so I would stop staring at her.
-
Although I don't worship him (but I'm thinking about it), it just reminded him so badly of him I had to include it.
Hermes: My friend Group was "enemies" with another girl, I would serve as the messenger between us.
Sometimes I would modify the message to make them mad at each other just for fun.
I randomly remembered and was like, "Wait, that's so Hermes."
So, did you have traits of your deities as a child?
So I made a post about my favorite song about Lady Selene and how the lyrics resonate with me because I don't know when I'll see her or where she's hiding.
I fell asleep quite early and got sad because I thought I wouldn't be able to see her.
I was doomscrolling through my phone when I noticed a bright white light out of my window.
I jokingly thought, "What if it's the moon?" I went outside to get a better look (I was thinking maybe it was a light from the apartment that's right in front of mine).
And it was, in fact, Lady Selene!
I have literally never seen her at this hour, and the fact I was awake just at the right time!
For now I'll just enjoy the time I get to see her.
Thank you, Lady Selene, for letting me see your beauty!
Just wanted to share this song that reminds me of lady selene!
Especially because the lyrics, I live in an apartment, and so I rarely see the moon.
"Goddess Moon, when are you coming?"
"Goddess Moon, where do you hide?"
I never know at what hour to see her. or where she's hiding! It reminds me a lot of my relationship with her, so I love it, lol.
Also, The Dancer and the Moon is another good song! (While I was writing that, I was listening to her playlist, and the song immediately came up,lmao)
---Hera reached quickly the top of Mount Gargano on the high Ida, and she saw Zeus gathering the clouds, and when he saw, passion (ἔρως) invaded his wise soul, as when for the first time they bonded in love and went to the bed, unknown to his parents----
(Illiad - XIV, 293-295)
Once Zeus took his power, decided to take to wife and noticed the beauty, worthy to became the Gods' Queen, in his sister Hera, who lived isolated in Eubea's Island, along with her nurse Makris, in the house of Thetis. Since it was very difficult getting close to her, because she watched assiduously over the nurse 'cause of her early age, in a cold winter day, when Hera were by chance alone and lost in a country roead, Zeus used a strategy and in the form of a cuckoo numb and shaking from cold, he leaned of her shoulder. The Goddess took pity and warmed him up with her robe, starting to caressing him. The cuckoo transformed himself in an handsome and attractive boy who made himself known as Zeus, who declared his love to the Goddess and asked her hand. Heca accepted, so the wedding were celebrated on the Olympus at all Gods presence. The wedding between Zeus and Hera is ofter told as an happy marriage even if Zeus had lot of nymphs and mortal women as lovers, whom in the end these unions were symbolics, for example to indicate what the Earth needed rains to be fecundated, or the Moon runs through the vault of heaven from east to west. These adventures sparked the jealousy of Hera and lot of poets attributed this kind of jealousy to heaven events, even it is told that the king and the queen of heaven, with their fights determinated rough hurricanes and cold winters. Despite everything, the divine lovers continued to be perhaps the only durable in the Olympus and from the marriage of Zeus and Hera were born four children: Hebe, Eileithyia, Ares and Hephestus
Hekatombaia were festivities in honor of Apollo, God of Sun, in which were executed an enormous sacrifice of 100 bulls (here the name hekatombaia, in Italian "ecatombe"). Along with the bulls, also sheep and poultry were sacrificed and offered to people for feasting in God's bless. During the day also were performed musicals and poetics competitions.
Yesterday (19/20) was in July the second celebration of God Adonis, the first was in March.
During this day one untied the procession in which sacred pictures of God Adonis and Goddess Aphrodite were magnified through the streets of the city. All were surrounded by flowers and fruits; plus, “Adonis’ Gardens” were carried during the processions, i.e. terracotta vases with little plants to thrown overboard as offering.
July parties, as opposed to funerals in March, celebrated the Passional Love between Goddess Aphrodite and God Adonis.

Pluto [Plouton], magnanimous, whose realms profound are fix'd beneath the firm and solid ground, In the Tartarian plains remote from fight, and wrapt forever in the depths of night; Terrestrial Jove [Zeus Khthonios], thy sacred ear incline, and, pleas'd, accept thy mystic's hymn divine. Earth's keys to thee, illustrious king belong, its secret gates unlocking, deep and strong. 'Tis thine, abundant annual fruits to bear, for needy mortals are thy constant care. To thee, great king, Avernus is assign'd, the seat of Gods, and basis of mankind. Thy throne is fix'd in Hade's dismal plains, distant, unknown to rest, where darkness reigns; Where, destitute of breath, pale spectres dwell, in endless, dire, inexorable hell; And in dread Acheron, whose depths obscure, earth's stable roots eternally secure. O mighty dæmon, whose decision dread, the future fate determines of the dead, With captive Proserpine [Kore], thro' grassy plains, drawn in a four-yok'd car with loosen'd reins, Rapt o'er the deep, impell'd by love, you flew 'till Eleusina's city rose to view; There, in a wond'rous cave obscure and deep, the sacred maid secure from search you keep, The cave of Atthis, whose wide gates display an entrance to the kingdoms void of day. Of unapparent works, thou art alone the dispensator, visible and known. O pow'r all-ruling, holy, honor'd light, thee sacred poets and their hymns delight: Propitious to thy mystic's works incline, rejoicing come, for holy rites are thine.
