okay so I was assigned female at birth, I understand why no matter how I change my appearance, people who know me as a girl will see me as a girl, but like. Random strangers, what is making you think I’m a lady??? I’m over here with a flat chest, short hair, broad shoulders, masc clothes, HIGHT! (Taller than my mom and everyone on my novice rowing team) and random people still look at me and go “mmm yeah that’s a miss” (I’m looking at you airport staff) and I’m not a dude either but the fact that the only people who mistake me for a man is like, old people at the pool, that makes me a little upset.

You can always start over with things- wrote something wrong? Start over. Ruined a project? Start over. But how do you start over with a faulted friendship? Can you start over, as if nothing happened before? How do you state the facts? How can you know when things started to go wrong? How do you know when the other person switched off along the way, while you were busy telling things, which are nothing if not truth? How could you start over?
