What if muggle AU Sirius and Remus meet in a mental hospital. What if Sirius is angsty and suicidal from his parent’s abuse and Remus keeps having panic attacks due to being in a car accident that left him physically disabled and they meet there. What if Sirius is grumpy and mean and aggressive because of trauma and Remus is quiet and jumpy and shy because of his pre-existing anxiety. What if Sirius takes a liking to Remus because he never treats Sirius like he’s some kind of bomb about to be exploded and that fascinates him. What if they get close because Sirius looks for people to protect after the death of his brother and Remus definitely needs protecting. What if they get close because Sirius needs someone to support him and help him stay calm and Remus is really good at both of those things. What if they learn to lean on each other and accept help together. What if they sit together and listen to music together while Sirius draws and Remus reads. What if James comes to visit Sirius and he’s so much calmer and even smiles and when he asks about it Sirius talks about this cute boy with freckles and a cane who sometimes needs a wheelchair and has the sweetest laugh. What if Hope and Lyall come to visit Remus and see how much he’s come out of his shell and how much more comfortable he’s gotten, and when they ask why, tells them about this boy with long hair and piercings and the sharpest wit he’s ever seen. What if they slowly get closer and closer and closer while bettering their mental health. What if they fall in love with each other more and more while watching each other become healthier and healthier.

My most lovely Tumblr people, please help. I cannot recall the name of this character for the life of me. I first heard of him because I saw a bunch of posts about him like a week ago, and never heard of him again. His only mention was in like book 5 (I think) in reference to a bunch of death eaters. Only his last name was mentioned, then She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named tweeted to say more about him. His birthday is in December and I’m 99% sure his initials are EM. His first name is like… Elias…

Sirius who is so fucking confused when Remus doesn’t hit him. Whose memories of romance are all centred around his parents yelling and hitting, but everyone says marriage means they’re in love, so they must be. Who assumes that blood and broken bones and insults are all as much a part of a relationship as kissing and touching and giggling. Who wonders, one day, when he’s a little high and a little drunk, if Remus really loves him like he says he does if he won’t hurt him. Who gets on his knees and begs Remus to hit him, to hurt him, to make him bleed, because that’s all he knows.

James and Sirius are both kind, but in different ways.

James is sweet and kind. He’s loud and makes it known that he’s a nice person (not necessary on purpose, it’s just how he is). He’s all for grand gestures and big moments.

Sirius is stoic and kind. He does little things for people without even expecting them to know it was him. He fixes things and helps out without making a big deal about it, and people only really notice when their oven is actually getting to temperature or their bathroom door no longer squeaks.

Little Teddy doesn’t know what Daddy’s name is, but they figure it must be either “Moony,” “Love,” “ma Lune,” “Amour,” or “Chéri,” because that’s what Papa always calls him. They assume that at a few of the names must be nicknames, because, as far as they know, people only have one name. They’re pretty sure his name is Moony, though, because that’s what James and Peter call him, too.

Papa laughs for five whole minutes when they tell him their conundrum. Daddy just smiles like he does when they show him their cool jumps and tells Papa something in Welsh.

Sirius is the opposite of touchy, bro will punt you if you get too close (he’s traumatized annoyed by touch). James, Peter, and Remus are all pretty touchy people (Remus acts like he’s not bc he’s scared to hurt people, but he is). The first time Sirius gives them hugs (which are really just him awkwardly putting an arm around their shoulders and squeezing a bit, maybe with a back pat or something) they are bouncing off the fucking walls with excitement

I love writing oneshots and that’s most of what I post buuuut I’m currently simultaneously working on 2 big stories/series (story 1 in series 1 is 65 chapters, story 1 in series 2 is 30 chapters).

The first is a MASSIVE werewolf!Sirius AU featuring lots of angst in the past and some less severe angst in the present that follows him from fourth year to adulthood (guys it’s literally huge). The second is a Sirius-is-a-father AU with, again, a shit tonne of angst, both past and present, that has a big focus on recovery. Both feature WolfStar, big Marauders friend-group stuff, and Sirius and Regulus being close (I know right? I started plotting them a while back, which I hope is a sufficient explanation).

Which one would you guys prefer I work on first? I’m gonna get both of them up eventually, of course, but I struggle to stay focused on one thing for long periods of time so I’m gonna take a break between them.

I have to go back to classes today and there’s a new phone policy so I won’t be able to check Tumblr like god intended me to (constantly like every 5 minutes because I am a fandom obsessed whore for my babies)

Peter probably wouldn’t have a pet, but, if he did, he’d get a gecko or something small and unassuming, I think.

James would own a dog— a husky, probably, something he can have fun and workout with.

Remus would have a cat, probably a stray with some kind of disability he could just sit with and read with some tea (and water, for the kitten).

Sirius would definitely get a massive dog, a rescue, I’d say. Some kind of huge, scary mutt (like Padfoot) with a bad history, maybe of violence or acting out due to abuse.

So we all know the AU where Sirius and Remus raise Harry, but I have a new suggestion. What if, after Alice and Frank are tortured to the point of insanity and James and Lily are murdered, Sirius and Remus take both Harry and Neville in.

Imagine Harry and Neville being raised as brothers with a solid support network. Imagine both of them having childhoods free of neglect and abuse and expectations. Them being raised with stories of their parents and a household full of love and kindness. Them getting to stay up at night, hiding out under the blankets with a flashlight to giggle about nothing. Them stealing cookie dough and bits of food while Sirius and Remus cook, making a competition out of it. Them going off to Hogwarts together, being sorted together, and having sleepovers in the same fourposter.

Then imagine little Teddy Lupin being born, probably when they’re still relatively young, maybe seven or eight. Them getting so excited, getting in Sirius and Remus’ bed to poke Remus’ stomach and talk to their baby sibling (and sometimes poke Sirius’ stomach just because they can). Them taking it upon themselves to teach Teddy new words and then turning it into a challenge to see who can teach them more. Them rushing Sirius to get them home from Hogwarts quicker every break so they can say hi to their little sibling. Them regaling Teddy with tales of the castle (some of which are more made up than others just to fuck with them) together.

Imagine their family being Sirius, Remus, Neville, Harry, and Teddy, living together and being happy. They all get a happy ending. They get to be safe and surrounded by love. Just… imagine.

So anyways Sirius buys way, way too many presents for everyone and spends way, way too much money. The worst part is that he’s also really good at gifting, so he buys a shit tonne of really great gifts. Remus buys fewer, very meaningful, very good gifts, but he prefers making memories in place of physical gifts. This isn’t to say he isn’t ecstatic when Sirius wakes him up on Christmas morning, nor is it to say that he doesn’t giggle like a little kid when he sits in a mountain of wrapping paper with his new things.

Regulus Black Headcanons?? Or Remus Lupin headcanons:)

First off, I’d love to thank you for taking the time to send me an ask! Now, how about both?

Let’s start with Regulus, because I have less to say about him.

He’s trans. I did a longer post related to this, but it just makes sense to me.

He’s aro/ace. No more comments on this. Maybe he’s not completely aro/ace but he’s on the spectrum.

Speaking of spectrums, he’s autistic.

He excels in potions and charms, but falls short in DADA (ironically) and transfiguration (double ironic, considering his brother).

Looked up to Sirius more than anyone else.

Hated James more than anything for “stealing” his brother.

Hated Remus for getting more attention from Sirius.

Believed his parents over everything once they started getting mean with Sirius.

Really small— like, 5’2 - 5’3 and all of 100 pounds.

Did genuinely support Voldemort until just before his death.

Died hoping that Sirius would find his note and realize that he ended up like him. He wanted to make his brother proud.

He was not a good or bad person. He was deeply flawed and could be awful, but he was also a victim of his parents manipulation.

Was not abused to the extent that Sirius was, but he was mistreated and neglected.

He didn’t have any real friends and didn’t like people much, if at all.

He would’ve been either a potion maker or a part of the wizegamot if he lived.

Alrighty, that was more than I expected. On to Remus!

He is also trans.

He is biromantic and homosexual (experiences romantic attraction to people of multiple genders, but only sexual attraction to men).

He and Lyall had a very strained relationship when we was young, because Lyall blamed himself for Remus being bitten.

Has PTSD, paranoia, and very bad anxiety.

A very heavy sleeper most of the time. He also requires a lot of sleep to function and loves sleeping.

Takes a lot of naps.

Has chronic back and leg pain that worsens around the moon and his period.

Has sharper canine teeth and pointy ears, like a wolf.

Very very very socially awkward and doesn’t understand people.

Also autistic.

Excels in care of magical creatures and charms. Struggles with arithmancy and transfiguration.

Always cold.

Steals Sirius’ (or whoever you headcannon him being with) jumpers, mostly so he can do sweaterpaws and because he loves drowning in him clothes.

He’s always scared of physical contact because he’s worried he’ll hurt people.

He’s a cuddler. He acts like he isn’t (see previous headcannon), but he loves being held and loved.

He prefers being the little spoon, but he’ll be the big spoon if his partner wants.

He’s pretty average height— about 5’10– but very skinny and light, about 115 pounds.

Surprisingly sensitive. He acts very aloof and calm, but he takes things very hard internally.

Not an angry person. Most of his “negative” emotions just translate to sadness and self blame.

Quite insecure, but not debilitatingly so. He just perpetually underestimates himself and doesn’t like himself all that much.

Was a virgin until Sirius (or whoever you headcannon him with).

Is pretty afraid of people. He worries that they’ll figure out his secrets.

Very kind and patient, but can be short-tempered around the full moon.

Not a natural straight-O student. He studies very hard to get good grades. He needs to make sure he uses the opportunity for schooling he was given!

Is very evasive and self-blaming whenever he gets angry, mostly out of guilt.

Crooked teeth.

Super close with Hope. She was his only friend until Hogwarts.

If he wasn’t an only child, he’d be the youngest sibling, just on account of vibes.

He really likes being independent and truly hates having to fully depend on anyone, especially when he has to.

Has freckles on his face and shoulders and knees (which are very knobbly btw).

I hope that these live up to your expectations and that you enjoyed them! I’m not a very big Regulus fan if that wasn’t obvious, but I do find him very very very fascinating. Thanks again for the ask!

James believed in monsters in his closet.

Peter believed in monsters under his bed.

Remus believed in monsters breaking his bedroom window.

Sirius believed in monsters sleeping in the bedroom a few floors above his.

Padfoot curled around Remus while he reads, head in his lap, keeping him nice and toasty, and snarling at the kids who tried to call him “Loony Lupin” or anything else. Padfoot lying across James’ legs, on his back, while he does homework, barking to startle people for fun when they walk by. Padfoot sitting on Effie’s feet, warming them up while she knits, napping, listening to music on the record player. Padfoot balled up next to Monty on the couch, listening to him read the papers aloud and then work on his crosswords. Padfoot lying in bed next to Peter, demanding scratches while he works on homework, nuzzling him lightly whenever he seems stressed. Just… Padfoot being an overprotective, massive dog that likes to take care of his humans and be a cutie (he’s the size of a black bear, most people actually think he’s terrifying).

Sirius loooooves romantic gestures, so he gets Remus flowers and chocolate and all that jazz on their anniversaries and Valentine’s Day and pretty much every holiday. One Valentine’s Day, Remus gets Sirius a nice bouquet (he went to a florist and asked how to tell someone they’re perfect in flower language). Sirius cries.

What if trophy-husband, stay-at-home-dad, wife-guy James and famous-chemist, working-mom, breadwinner Lily?

Rotting

Sirius literally towers over everyone. He’s like 6’5 and super broad. He’s not touchy, but his favourite form of physical contact is putting his chin on people’s heads (only his closest friends). Remus (5’10) likes cuddling up as close as possible to gather heat, like a little warmth-sponge, and will worm himself so far into Sirius’ personal space that he ends up inside of his jumper with him. James, being the second tallest Marauder (6’0), doesn’t fit unless he hunches over, but he enjoys it the most out of the whole friend group, partially because James is also pretty broad and Sirius is the only one who can make him feel dainty. Peter (5’3) likes it, but feels really short whenever Sirius does it, which is annoying. Lily (5'5) thought it was weird at first, but got used to it and started to find it sweet when he began doing it when she got close after getting with James.

Anyways they both cry like babies when they find out. Sirius tells anyone who will listen that Remus is the best partner ever and Remus gushes to his closest friends about Sirius.

Sirius creating a charity to help werewolves deal with transformations, fight prejudices and find work.

Remus creating a charity to help kids in abusive families and victims of unforgivable curses.

(both of them cried when they found out what the other did for them. A, because it's sweet and B, because they needed that support when they were younger)

Sirius Black’s dad-lore would go crazy. He’s like: “oh I just remembered that time I became an animagus when I was 15 to hang out with your other dad on full moons” and his kid is like “bestie what.” or he says “oh yeah I broke out of Azkaban to kill my ex-best friend who framed me for murder” and the kid just stares at him like “you fucking what now???”
