MoonWater fic (could be romantic or platonic) where Regulus' animagus is a little black lamb instead of a cat and Moony, the giant wolf, is very protective of this adorable little lamb who follows him around every full moon.

Since joining this fandom I've noticed that the ship names just hit different than the ship names in other fandoms (or maybe I'm just in the wrong fandoms lol) Like, you have the usual Put Both Characters Names Together ship names (jily, dorlene, jegulus, etc), but then you have wolfstar and starchaser/sunseeker and those ship names are just??? so good???
rosekiller? nobleflower? all of them sound so pretty like wtf
But then you have ship names like moonwater, which sounds just as pretty as the others until you think about what its a reference to
All this to say, I am in love with the way this fandom does ship names

Suddenly I’m afraid of Regulus Black
for Valentine's Day james surprised lily with a huuugggeee bouquet of lilies of the valley not knowing hes allergic to them (and that they're poisonous but he's not eating them). so now he's just all puffy and pouty and lily is insisting that she'd still like him even if he was a puffy swollen allergy-ridden blob for the rest of their lives.
remus thinks it's HILARIOUS and sincerely believes that he'd never be so drunk in love to do something like that. and then his bf walks in and remus accidentally spills ink all over his white dress shirt and is just holding back tears.
peter n benjy + third wheel Marlene r jus chilling on the side watching everything go wrong for all the happy couples. not even in a mean way Peter just likes seeing other people stumble around their partners as much as he does around benjy. And Marlene just likes watching people suffer light-heartedly.

I LOVE no voldy!Remus who's just a silly little guy
he doesn't think about what he's saying and he's kind of judgemental but his loyalty has no end, I guess without voldy the hardest test it faces is James and Sirius fighting about their favourite quidditch team.
I do believe in stoner Remus!! But I don't like cigarette smoker Remus because I feel like he's too worried about the full moon to worry about feeling his lungs burning and having to take the time to shakily roll cigarettes... and he hates the smell.
stoner! Rem who's just really clingy when he's high. Is one of his friends sitting next to him? He's pulling them into his lap and burying his head into their neck just to feel their warmth.
he does it with Lily too even after she and James get together- James truly doesn't mind because he loves being cuddled by Remus too. It's not an excuse for Remus to be romantically close to any of them by any means- he doesn't discriminate from Peter to Evan (Barty doesn't like to be held or hold someone other than by the hand so he's cool with it... for the most part) and Marlene to Dorcas, all that matters is their friendship and warmth.
if he had to choose a favourite though, regulus or Lily easily. He loves how they always have a soft smell to them, lily of hibiscus and regulus of different types of weed. Least favourites? Probably Sirius and Evan because they usually reek of cigarettes and because Sirius always moves too frequently to truly be comfortable for Remus so he usually just shoves him off and searches for someone else with heavy-lidded eyes.

imagine rem just singing 'and I love her' by the Beatles to reg one lazy morning while they made little toffees and cookies for Harry and Teddy's joint birthday party (they have separate ones just about them too of course, but lily wants them to be super close so they have another in the month between of both their birthdays) and he's smiling like an idiot while reg smacks him with the spatula
i feel like rem would be just an absolute dork and serenade his partner every time a Beatles, Frank Sinatra, or such song would come on if there wasn't the war n stuff. Is that controversial? Idk I don't like big tough bad boy rem I LOVE nerdy loser hopeless romantic mama's boy(lovingly) rem who plants flowers and has anger issues and wears his mom's peony apron and sleeps like a sick Victorian child or like he just went through a hurricane (no in between) and had a big fat crush on John (Meg's husband) when he read little women and hates coffee stain rings and for some reason is oddly good at pottery

LIKE imagine these both very intimidating men, one who looks like he goes to duels for fun, the other who looks like he's plotting ur death every second hes looking at you, just sliding little love notes to eachother that they giggle and blush and kick their feet over.
Like no one would believe u if you said that they were doing this with no proof, but now it's a well known fact that the table next to the window with a perfect view of the forbidden forest IS the lovers table! They even carved their initials (r.j.l + r.a.b) Which starts a rumor that's passed down to the 1st years which leads to people starting their own relationships by carving their initials in, which has since then been secretly charmed to vanish the carvings of couples who've been separated for any reason.
{extra tidbit but when rem comes back to hogwarts, suddenly people are shocked when the initials r.a.b turn into r.a.l and think it's a sign that he's come back to punish them for ruining their table (he thinks it's so funny and really sweet and even takes a picture with Colin's camera to show regulus)}

I want regulus and Remus that can't find anyone to tell about their books. Everyone is too busy ordoesnt care. So they both go take solice in the library and reread the book.
I want regulus and Remus that find eachother there and just dare to reach out to somone they would other wise ignore.
I want regulus and Remus that start to talk about books there read and start a secret book club.
I want regulus and Remus to stay up late together talking until somone mentions Sirius.
