Okay nobody send me death threats. It's not that serious! Here are my Marauders Hot Takes:
• Jily and WolfStar are the best ships
• I love Jegulus but it doesn't make sense in canon, but almost nothing else does anyway so who cares
• The marauders would've bullied people in real life because they bullied people in canon- I do think they also would've grown up and apologized for it (except maybe Sirius)
• Snape is a flawed complex character but he bullied children and that will never be okay. He's also literally racist and misogynistic so..
• Harry is a better person than James. He wasn't perfect, but he didn't bully anyone (only had petty rivalries) and was angry when he found out how James treated Snape and that Sirius still thought it was funny. Harry also literally payed for Fred and George to start their business. I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL HARRY IS JUST BETTER
• I will never read All The Young Dudes. I'm sorry. I just don't want to read it
• Rosekiller is a fun ship but you cannot make them good people. Barty literally killed his father in cold blood. Headcanons are fine, but it's just better and more likely that they chose their side of the war knowingly and willingly.
• Sirius is an asshole. He has so many good qualities, but he's an asshole. When he's watered down to just sad, or just fun it's never as good. He needs flaws. That goes for all the marauder
All this being said, write what you want. Read what you want. Enjoy what you like. It's just fiction and fandom and I really don't take it as seriously as this sounds

Halloween party 1975, fourth year:
Barty: *dressed as a dementor for Halloween*
Evan: *spills a drink*
Barty: for your crime of spilling that drink it sentence you with the dementors kiss *tries to kiss Evan*
Evan: *leans out of the way* why it wasn’t even your drink
Barty: doesn’t make it not illegal
Evan: spilling a drink isn’t illegal Barty
Barty then proceeds to spend the rest of the night trying to kiss Even and at the end of the night when it was just them Evan jumped of a hiding place and surprise attacked Barty with a kiss
Then Barty has a crisis because he was joking about kissing Evan all night but he really enjoyed that and wants to do it again
And Evan has a crisis because he thought Barty wanted to kiss him because he kept trying all night but when he did it Barty looked really confused and slightly weird out and he’s scared he ruined there friendship

It was cold, ice cold when Barty and Evan entered the three broomsticks in hogsmeade to meet with their girlfriend.
They had walked around the whole afternoon, tasting the best sweets in Honeydukes, trying out some of the pranks they bought from Zonko's (to the dislike of quite a few hufflepuffs.)
They had even decided to spoil their girlfriend by buying new tea, even if both Barty and Evan preffered a good butterbeer or dark bitter coffee.
And there she was, waiting for the 2 boys by a table. She looked up when the door opened and smiled at her two boys, it seems like she's been waiting for quite the time now looking at the big empty mug.
"How long did you wait for us?" Evan asked his girlfriend, and to his (and Barty's) dismay you answered with "A very long time, you two are really late. I almost wanted to leave. I missed you two."
Let's just say they ended up spoiling you more, and at the very end of the day you ended up in Barty's arms with Evan's head resting in your chest, giving you a kiss every once in a while.

Evan doesn’t know what to say.
He’s looking at Barty, who in turn is gazing at him with a soft smile and a questioning look in his eyes. Evan thinks he needs someone to just pinch him, because there is no way that this is real. No way that he poured out his heart to Barty and wasn’t sent away with it in pieces.
No, he hadn’t been sent away at all. Quite the opposite, actually. But that just made it all the more unbelievable.
Evan should say something poetic and romantic, should smile back and kiss Barty and tell him that he wants to try to be something more with him, but all he can do is stare dumbly and say, “Is this real?”
Barty chuckles, and Evan’s heart melts.
“I could pinch you if that would make it feel more believable,” he offers.
Evan laughs and lets his forehead fall against Barty’s chest, shaking with amusement and giddy joy as Barty’s hand smooths away some of his curls.
“Nope,” he says, and can’t believe that this is happening to him, “I think the fact that you just said that did the trick.”
“Good.” Evan can hear the smile in Barty’s voice and looks up to see it resting in place, aimed at him fondly.
“So…” Barty ventures, “what do you think?”
Evan knows what he means without having to ask. Slowly, he says, “I think that we’re two idiots, but two idiots who could be less of dumb if they just kissed. And actually meant it,” he adds as an afterthought.
It doesn’t seem possible, but Barty’s grin stretches even wider as if it can defy all logic.
“That seems about right,” he agrees.
And then his mouth is on Evan’s, nothing else existing except for the two of them sitting in a library and figuring out a whole new way to fit together.
“Evs,” Barty breathes once they finally pull apart, and Evan smiles so wide he feels as though his face may break in half. There’s no way Evan could ever get tired of hearing Barty say his name like that.
“You know,” Barty tries again, “I really think that you wearing my clothes should be a regular occurrence.”
He tugs on Evan’s sleeve, where the fabric hangs a little from being too long, and seems to be slightly distracted as he mumbles, “You look really good in it.”
Evan blushes and swats Barty’s hand away.
“We’ll discuss the details later,” he says breezily, still smiling. “Just don’t ask me to wear your jersey. I think I’ll leave the whole “jersey wearing thing” to Reg.”
He was just joking, but a horrified expression crosses Barty’s face as soon as Evan finishes his sentence. It immediately causes Evan’s heart to fall through his stomach.
“What?” he asks worriedly, his smile long gone.
Barty shakes his head and grabs Evan’s hands, easing his fears slightly. “Rosie, do you know what this means?”
Evan shakes his head, still confused.
“This means that we owe Reg for the start of our relationship,” Barty says, and looks as if he’s seen something truly harrowing.
And suddenly Evan gets it.
“No,”’ he gasps. “We can never tell him, or else he’ll be absolutely insufferable.”
“Too late,” says a voice from somewhere between the stacks of books, and then Regulus is standing at the edge of the table, bag strap looped around his shoulder and looking slightly worse for the wear.
Barty and Evan turn a horrified glance to each other.
“Please tell me that you weren’t here the entire time,” Evan finally says.
Regulus shakes his head, and Evan feels slightly mollified. Only slightly, though, as Regulus then says, “I just came back a little bit ago to come and get you two for dinner, and you looked as though you were having a… moment.” Regulus wrinkles his nose. “Please never kiss in front of me again.”
Barty just grins and slings an arm around Evan’s shoulders, even as Evan’s face turns red.
“No promises,” Barty says, then turns around to peck Evan on the nose. Evan can’t help but smile at him. Regulus makes a sound of disgust.
“I’m going to be sick,” he pronounces, then gestures for the pair to stand up. “Come on. We’re late for dinner.”
Barty sighs dramatically, then stands and extends a hand to Evan.
“Shall we go, sweetie pie?” he asks in a ridiculously sweet manner.
Evan sniggers, “Of course, snookums,” then places his hand in Barty’s and allows him to haul him to his feet.
“I’m leaving now,” calls Regulus, already walking away as Barty tucks an arm around Evan’s waist. Evan never wants it to leave, and somehow, he gets the distinct feeling that Barty doesn’t want it to leave either.
“So, what do you think, Rosie?” Barty murmurs. “Shall I escort you to dinner?”
Evan smiles up at him, taking in Barty’s adoring gaze and lovely dimples. Then, because now it’s a thing he can do simply because he wants to, he tilts his head up and pecks Barty on the lips.
“That sounds lovely, Bee,” he says, then starts off towards the Great Hall.
Barty’s arm doesn’t leave his waist.

Here me out, fic idea:
Regulus, Remus and Pandora are all theatre kids, Pandora and Regulus were already besties previously, all three audition for a play (Hamilton obviously). They all get accepted, who plays which character? Regulus-Hamilton, Pandora-Eliza, Remus- Burr. Anyway so they all become besties because like they're all in the play together so they're in close proximity and all three have major rolls. When the time comes to perform the play Sirius who hasn't seen his brother in years and is just there to support Remus is forced to sit there for like three hours and watch his brother that he abandoned absolutely slay at being Hamilton, James is just like watching in awe because he has never met Regulus and Sirius doesn't tell him it's his brother so he's just drooling over Regulus the entire time. Lily, who went to support her bestie Remus, is drooling over Pandora because we love pandalily. Barty and Evan are just at the back of the audience cheering on Regulus and Pandora (they end up getting kicked out for being too disruptive). I haven't really thought any further about this tbh, maybe I'll continue it on eventually.

Barty was still real fucking tall at 6'3 but Evan used that 1 inch of height difference over Barty any chance he got

Unrequited Bartylus is just so precious to me for some reason.
Barty thinks Regulus loves him the same way he loves Regulus. But Regulus doesn't realise Barty likes him in that way, he thinks it's a friends with benefits situation without any feelings involved... So one day when he goes to his dorm to tell Barty, his best friend, about James Potter and how he thinks he's falling for Jamie, he doesn't quiet understand why Barty looks like he's going to breakdown.
Barty thought it was more than just a quick fuck between two friends. So hearing about James Potter broke him. He knew it showed on his face so he covered it up quickly and teased Regulus, before making some two-bit exuse and running Dorcas' dorm- she always helps...
[And Evan was there watching as his bestfriend broke the heart of the boy Evan loved, getting his own heart broken]
