AU - Lena Luthor Saves Krypton
Lena is somehow sent back in time and finds herself on Krypton 30 years before the planet explodes. Kara doesn’t exist yet. Krypton has no idea what’s about to happen to them.
Lena realizes that with her knowledge of what’s to come and intellect to devise a solution, she can do two things. One, she can save an entire species from near extinction. Two, she can save Kara from ever having to experience the pain of losing her family, her home, and being abandoned. Kara could live a happy life and never know the burden of Supergirl or being the last daughter of Krypton.
So instead of trying to find a way back to Earth, back to her own time, she settles into life on Krypton, becomes fluent in Kryptonese, and sets about with a spectacularly single-minded focus of changing the future - to save this dying world (and Kara).
She succeeds…mostly. They can’t fix the damage that’s already been done to the planet. Their sun will die and destroy Krypton still, but with Lena’s help they’re able to locate a barren planet in another system that has a white star. It’s brand new, strong, and will live for untold trillions of years (provided Kryptonians didn’t try to harness its power again).
They terraform the planet and create “New Krypton” using the dome concept that Zor-El invented fused with Coluan bottling technology. All Kryptonians are instantly transported to their new home that’s identical to the old one save for one difference - the white sun grants them god-like powers that are beyond what Lena ever saw Kara and Clark capable of on Earth. Kryptonians are overwhelmed en masse by these powers. Some go power mad and attempt coups and form radical sects. Others realize the gift they’ve been given and, with Lena’s guidance, Kryptonian society develops under a new mission - to travel the galaxy and offer help to all those in need. Not just offering knowledge and technology this time, but themselves with their newfound powers.

Metropolis, on average, is likely to have much higher than average rent than Gotham. Reporters, non tv ones esp., don’t get paid that much these days with the gradual decline of print media. Probably lower than average for someone aiming to keep a low profile.
My point is, that rent in metropolis sucks ass and Clark just starting at the daily planet and running off to be superman all the time, is just. having an awful fucking time, because to be superman he can’t have roommates. He probably ends up doing some part time jobs with odd hours to keep his secret.
And most people also don’t know that superman HAS a secret identity in the early days and think he just. full time lives at the north pole.
So when the jla starts, no one KNOWS he has secret identity and Clark isn’t particularly keen on exposing it so he just. keeps coming up with bullshit ass excuses why he is randomly offline sometimes.
FLASH : Hey supes, why weren’t you at the meeting yesterday-
GREEN LANTERN : Got a hot date?
CLARK : I was, uh. Preparing for my hibernation.
AQUAMAN : Your fucking WHAT
MARTIAN MANHUNTER, FULLY AWARE THAT CLARK IS MAKING BULLSHIT UP : Many species do such things-
FLASH : Alien species??
WONDER WOMAN, ASLO AWARE THAT HE’S LYING : Flash, Kal is also an alien, no matter how similar to humans he may look.
WONDER WOMAN : Kal, If there is anything we can do to assist-
CLARK : No, No, No it’s, it’s fine, it’s not a big deal-
BATMAN, AWARE OF HIS SECRET IDENTITY : It IS a big deal, superman. If one of our strongest is to be out of commission for an extended period of time-
CLARK : Oh, I won’t- We, we do it in shifts.
WONDER WOMAN : Is that so, Kal?
CLARK : Yeah, h. haha.
Smash cut to a few years later-
KARA : YOU TOLD THEM WE DO WHAT
CLARK : I PANICKED OK?

Anyone remember I made a pokemon au? Yeah I thought so.
Pokemon au is one of the first things I drew for this blog and one of the things that really helped me grow as an artist, so it's very dear to me. That and my undying love for pokemon.

Saw a video of a video of a lady on tiktok pretending to be deaf to avoid the attentions of some "admirers" while traveling abroad. It was questionable, but it does give me the idea of Lena being fluent in ASL, and using it to ignore people she doesn't want to deal with.
So, say Lena and Sam are traveling, and some dudes start pestering them for greetings/pictures/attention. Lena slips into fluent ASL, legit explaining to them that she's deaf (she is not), and Sam trying not to laugh as she's plays along and translates.
The men eventually move on, but when Lena later goes to the bathroom, she's caught on her way out by the same guys who try to press their luck again. They're drunker this time, and ignore her signing as they leer closer and closer into her personal space.
Just as Lena is about to panic and abandon the charade in favor of telling them off, she hears a call from across the bar.
"Hey!"
The next thing she knows, Lena is wrapped up in a warm hug from a person taller than her but also female, who smells so so good.
When the woman draws away, Lena catches a glimpse of a beautiful face before her rescuer turns to her would be assailants.
"Can I help you?"
Lena nearly chokes at the sound of accented English, the slightly warped, slightly too loud words those of someone who is *actually* hard of hearing.
Then men try to explain that they're friends, but before Lena can deny it, the woman cuts in with a loud "I can't hear you", signing as she goes.
Quickly losing interest in a woman who can speak-- with her voice, loudly-- the men soon drift away, giving the woman room to turn back to Lena.
"Are you okay?"
Then, before Lena can reply...
"Sorry for the hug. Looked like you needed an out."
Lena grins. "I did, thank you. But I have a confession-- I'm not actually deaf."
The woman's smile only deepens. "Well, you sign beautifully."
Lena flushes a light pink. "I have a friend waiting outside. Can we buy you a drink?"
"My sister is already at the bar-- maybe we should buy you one."
Kara turns a little sheepish then.
"Actually... can we? It's rare that I find a stranger who can sign."
Lena nervously nibbles her lip, then makes an executive decision.
"That would be lovely."
"Ok, Season 4 Episode 6
Lena tells James that she loves him and that there's no limit in the universe she wouldn't cross for him to be safe. And what does the idiot James respond? That if Lena thinks that's love, then he's not sure he wants to be a part of it...
Meanwhile Lena developing technology and saving Supergirl everytime she can,being worried for Kara's well being and later Kara telling her "for a friend like you there are no boundaries"

“Your son just kicked me, Miss Luthor-Danvers.”
Kara looked over to the couch, where Lena bad stopped reading her book, which now lay propped on the dome of her stomach. She looked absolutely exhausted, with dark circles beneath her eyes, marring paler than usual skin.
The pregnancy was taking its toll on Lena, but just as difficult for Lena was the order to remain on pelvic rest, as were the Herculean caloric requirements of gestating a Kryptonian child on Earth. Lena Luthor was the type of woman who grew more fatigued from orders to lay up in bed, and Kara had to practically bat her phone out of her hand to stop her from answering emails at all hours of the night.
Kara swung out from behind the kitchen island, carrying another smoothie with a carefully selected mix of fruits, vegetables, and protein powder.
“Blegh,” Lena said, as she choked down a gulp of the stuff. Does it have to be so sweet?”
Kara didn’t answer. Lena looked haggard by her own usual standards, but to Kara, she was the most gorgeous thing she’d ever seen. Yes, she was pale, but there as a rosy glow in her cheeks and though she sighed and complained and groused, rarely had there been such joy in her eyes. One of Kara’s new favorite things was catching Lena unawares, finding her smiling at nothing and cradling protective arms around the new life coming to being within her.
After she gulped down the last of the thick, gloppy shake -which Lena had given the appetizing name of ‘nutrient slurry mark one’, she turned halfway on the couch.
“There he goes again,” said Lena, sighing.
Kara reached out with a trembling hand, resting it gently on the warm curve of Lena’s skin. She went quiet for a moment, forcing back the tears. Thinking about this overwhelmed her. She’d never dreamed she’d really have this, much less with the most beautiful and kind woman she’d ever known. A soft twitch against her palm made her grin from ear to ear.
“I’m glad you’re enjoying this. I’d like to get some sleep.”
Kara chewed at her lip for a moment.
“What if I try singing to him?”
Lena raised a sharp eyebrow.
“Alex gave me an article that says that babies can hear us while they’re in the womb.”
Lena’s head fell back against the cushions.
“Do you know any lullabies?”
Kara swallowed, hard.
“Yes.”
There was a pause, as Kara worked herself up, pulling the words from the lost days of her youth, across an ocean of stars beneath a far distant sun.
She more spoke than sang at first, until her voice grew into something soft and light, like a rare flower opening its petals to greet the sun. By the time she really began to sing, Lena was smiling, listening intently.
Kara dug deep in her memory for the words to the traditional Kryptonian lullaby, a promise from a young mother to her child lost in the wilderness, an invocation to come home safe to loving arms before the reunited in the final verses.
When Kara finished she looked up and saw that Lena was fast asleep, her hand now resting atop Kara’s as it rested on Lena’s belly. Tenderly, Kara drew her hand back and, with practiced ease, raised Lena in her arms and carried her back to the bedroom, another Kryptonian verse flowing softly from old memories, and the eventually they slept, until sunrise.

Oof, I tried once. Opened a doc and everything.
I psyched myself out, trying to write something as good as the fics I had read, and didn't exactly get very far. I know it isn't reasonable for a first-time fic writer to compare herself to veterans or expect excellence from inexperience, and yet I did.

Hi time for my favorite part of this arc. The ending is just so good!!

FUCKING OW?! Idk but just Kara and Bruce just being so broken about this. Kara lost a friend and blames herself and she lost her last remaining family. Bruce just lost the boy he considers his son and his best friend. They’ve both lost so much so quickly.
But there’s one thing that people sometimes forget
Superman is quick on his feet and a clever man.

That’s the end of this first arc!! Now they go off to find Robin who is lost in time. You guys will never guess where he’s ended up!!
So after Clark gets mind controlled so does Larry and Rita
And then Cliff does my favorite thing.
PUNCHES THE BAD GUY!!!
So Nezha is immune to most tech that he knows but he’s been locked away for a very long time so he was very unprepared for robot punch!
GO CLIFF!!!
And because of Superman has a great idea
Phantom Zone that fucker!!!
So things seem calm right?
Kara is going through it but they can find Robin now… except
THIS GUY IS ADAPTING?!
Ok so issue 5 is the last issue of this arc I think.
So everyone is arguing about who should sacrifice themselves.
Kara feels terrible cause she lost Robin in time.
I can only imagine how hard this is for her, but we don’t have time to process cause guess what
CLARK GOT MIND CONTROLLED OH CRAP!!
I AGREE! OH MY GOD!!
I gotta get ready to go to a graduation in a few minutes but instead more world’s finest!!!
So I didn’t finish talking about issue 4. So the main antagonist mind controls several hero’s and fused SuperBatMan have to hold them off and fight Nezha.
The ring runs out of power and then suddenly
KARA COMES IN WITH THE SNEAK ATTACK
She is pissed off!!
And then she reveals the only true way to stop Nezha.
Oh crap!!!

Hi I’m back and here to talk about Issue 4 of World’s Finest:
Hal is being mind controlled and my god is it funny.
The light from the ring!!! Clark being pissed!! Just amazing!
And the Bruce gets grabbed and Nezha talks shit. Also Hal coming up with a mech is so good!!! The backgrounds are so beautiful!!!
And then Bruce pisses him off and he just throws Bruce?! He’s just tossed it’s so funny.
Supergirl and Robin find out how to defeat Nezha and I like how the artstyle feels a bit different in these scenes. Like softer almost.
Robin gets lost in time.
And the finally my favorite scene! Batman and Superman will Hal’s ring off his finger and FUSE?!
They do a full dragon ball fusion help!? It’s just so crazy I love this comic series. If you’re ever interested read them. My rants do not do them justice.
Sometimes I worry that my love for dc is just more of a batfam thing and then I nearly cry when I see Kara in the My Adventures With Superman trailer.
I’m so ready for the next season please!!!

Luz saying “that’s what friends do” and Kara saying “for a friend like you there are no boundaries” have the same vibes.
Picture this.
Leviathan takes Lena to hurt Lex once they find out Lex is targeting them. Lena cleverly escapes (because she’s a badass) before getting caught by Leviathan during her escape and ends up being in real danger.
As soon as Kara finds out Lena is in danger, she freakin flies over and beats the crap out of whatever member of Leviathan is threatening Lena, but gets hurt during her blind rage fight and Lena finishes them off and helps hurt Kara. Thus begins their first step towards mending their relationship. Fighting to protect each other and realizing they still care deeply for each other.
