Real question how many years of calling myself a baby witch does it take for me to acknowledge I might know a thing or two?
Not everyone (me) can sit still and a lot of people (also me) find it hard to center themselves before a ritual or spell by just sitting and thinking. Here are some ideas I use when I find conventional reflection is not an option:
Count numbers up to either a target or until you feel content (I have been known to write on my leg I would suggest use paper)
Rip some paper or an index card as much as possible (use old paper that’s already been written on)
Run it out 🏃🏃♂️🏃♀️
If the weather is bad I will go outside and just shake or dance for as long as my bare feet can handle it, I come in feeling new and absolutely ready to go
Lay on the ground like a starfish and try to stretch your body as wide as it goes
Cook or bake something 🥘
Please add more ideas I love having choices when I want to practice but can’t pull myself to focus! I hope this post helped someone 💕
Imbolc is a celebration of fertility, incoming spring and light! (Or the birth of your livestock depending on what you’re into) It falls on February 1/2, 2020 for the northern hemisphere. Luckily this lines up with a weekend! Here are some ideas to get energy flowing and celebrate Imbolc.
Clean your room 🧹
Set out some amethyst on your alter
Try a new type of divination 🔮
Cook with cinnamon, rosemary or ginger
Light a candle 💥
Pet some sheep (don’t) (unless you can) (message me if you can pet some sheep)
Clean your house 🏠
Dress in white, silver, orange and red
Go on a walk 🧚♀️
Make a Brigid cross and read up on Imbolc’s history
C L E A N 🧹
I know it’s early, but time always slips by when you’re not paying attention. Have a safe January!
Just like all things in witchcraft you can add and take things away in order to fit your practice! Worship your deities, do a face mask, don’t light any candles, meditate for 30 seconds or a whole hour do whatever needed to detox and reflect on your day. Here is what I do.
What I use
Cleansing tool (Incense, crystals, etc)
Tarot deck
Candle (incorporate color magic!)
Music ( I like listening to Tibetan bowls)
Compass?
Ritual
Queue up any music, light a candle, clear space to sit and stretch comfortably.
Cleanse yourself and your space by passing the lit incense or crystal counter clock wise to expel any negative energy you’ve gathered throughout the day. Cleanse any other tools you will be using.
Determine where north is and sit cross legged or comfortably face this direction.
If you need structure to your meditation you can do High, Low, Kudos. This is a reflection tool to think of your highs of the day, your lows and giving kudos to people or spirits who assisted you through the day. Thank your body or mind for one wonderful thing it did today even if this was just getting out of bed 💕
When you feel relaxed and soupy do some of your favorite stretches, reach for the sky and touch your toes, hug yourself and flex your feet.
At this point I like to do spell work, tarot readings or use my pendulum.
Cleanse yourself again moving in a clockwise motion to attract positive energy for the next day.
Congrats you’ve made it through another day! ✨
Like I said this can be shortened and changed to fit your needs, if you’re sleeping over a friends and can only sit with your eyes clothes then that’s okay! I like to ask my mom (who doesn’t know witchcraft exists) if she wants to join, we meditate and stretch together. She finds a lot of comfort and relaxation in this practice as well even if it’s a different meaning for her. Good luck to everyone in the new year and feel free to message me with any questions or concerns! 😌💫💕
We love staring off the year with The Devil card and an overarching theme of self-destruction ✌️✌️
New addition for the altar 💕
I would be sarcastic about being called awake at 4:30 in the morning to spell work and swing a rock around but I think I’ve finally (and truly) connected with a deity to work with after several months of looking. ✨
Any suggestions or questions please pm me I’m always looking for new ideas and people to talk to! 🌎
Blessed be ~
When cleansing my tools in moonlight I feel like a mother lining up her kids to spray them off with the hose after they’ve been playing in dirt all day.
This is more of a log for myself in the future, but maybe this can inspire or remind anyone to take a moment for themselves or declutter before the start of a new decade! I’m only about a year into my Wiccan journey so some things may not make sense or work in a way you’d think to, but I think intentions are what drive energies and magic so this my own ritual that I’ve done in the past to clear my mind and space.
Things you’d need:
You
Your room
A preferred cleansing tool
White candle
Morning ☀️
Beginning in the morning I did strip and make my bed, I vacuumed the mattress, the floors and began throwing out any trash I’ve had piled up between the bed and the wall.
At this time I realized I wanted to do some spell work that night as I felt filled with bright and productive energy, things simply fell in place for me throughout the day it just felt right.
Evening 💫
I like to think of my space and body working with eachother. So I begin my night by reflecting in on myself what does my body need, I cleaned my face, showered and took time to reconfirm I wanted to spend this night awake and working.
I would record your night as I often forget my thoughts no matter how important they seem at the time.
Next day ⛅️
Light a white candle and begin cleaning your room. This may seem like your mom ghost wrote this post, but a deep clean of ones room is the perfect time to reflect, and meditate. Thank the space for the shelter it has provided you in the last year or maybe the things it has witnessed.
I genuinely spend all night cleaning my room and space. Sometimes I will pause to watch a video or listen to music, but most of my night is spent with myself. This may seem intense at first, but I find it opens me up to slow time down and regain control over my own energy.
After finally feeling satisfied with my work or naturally falling asleep, the next day I will throw out the bags or donate what I’m giving away, light an unlit candle for fresh spirit and do whatever tarot spread I find effective, usually I will write a note down during the night. I cleanse my space with a cedar smudge as it’s often used for new houses and apartments to invite in positive energy and I like to think of my room as new after these rituals.
Other Notes 🌎
I’d really love to talk to people about their journeys and ideas with magic. So far most of my information has come from online research and library books, so I’d love to hear from other wiccans and witches! Best of luck to all in the new year. ✨
THE ONLY WICCAN I LIKE IS THE MARVEL CHARACTER WICCAN CAUSE HES FUCKIN COOL AS SHIT
hey y’all, your resident eclectic with here with a quick tip on easy-to-do spell jars!
I personally live in a dorm situation nine months out of the and try to keep my shit pretty lowkey for my roommates sake, so I keep four elemental mood jars in little mason jars in one of my drawers. Whenever I feel funky, out of alignment, off-mood, or just need a little pep, I mix the corresponding jar and say a little prayer and thank you before I start my day. The contents of these jars were inspired by an elemental post made by stargvsm! Please see their post for more ideas, as my jars really contain the bare minimum to convey intent.
Earth- For grounding, strength, healing
Contents: dried moss, crushed pine cone, wheat, crushed lead, salt, patchouli essential oil, jar is decorated with sigils for Venus and Saturn
Air- For clarity, inspiration, intuition, memory
Contents: feathers, lavender, lemon peel, clover, yellow fabric, soda can tabs, incense ashes, jar is decorates with sigils for Mercury and Uranus
Water- For emotion, release, reflection, growth
Contents: silver coins, sand, chamomile, mint, river stones, sea glass, jar is decorated with sigils of Neptune and Pluto
Fire- For energy, courage, passion, confidence
Contents: candle wax, basil, cinnamon, red pepper flakes, garnet necklace, gold coin, jar is decorated with sigils for Mars and Jupiter
My planet associations are based on the zodiac, go with whatever works best for you! I put soda can tabs in my air jar because I associate aluminum with air, but I know some people prefer tin. It’s all about what you feel best represents the relationship you have with worship- there’s no right or wrong contents.
For prayer, honestly, sometimes I just put my head on my desk and swirl the jar and talk out loud like I’m asking an old friend for advice. I talk abut my day, why I feel the way I do, and what I want to change about how I feel, and ask my patrons for their guidance. Blessed be, y’all have fun and stay safe

Alright, so my relationship with my patron gods is pretty fluid- I typically burn a few things as an offering to the god that I need strength from most with a sigil that represents them. To my fellow broke bitch witches, your god knows you’re working with what you’ve got. Don’t sweat it.
Aphrodite, for example-
I mix vanilla extract and cinnamon and throw in a few rose petals, mix it all together, and throw in a ring and my earrings. I burn the sigil and let the ashes fall into the mix, say my prayer, and thank her for her time and patience.
I treat this as a glamour of sorts, and I notice my confidence is always boosted over the next few days when I wear this jewelry (after rinsing it).
Here’s the way I’ve done my worships, as someone who can’t risk having altars and a lot of wiccan material in my home-
Ares- red fabric, matches, pepper
Athena- olive leaves (or oil, but that shit is FLAMMABLE) and citrus peel (orange, tangerine, lemon, etc. )
Dionysus- dried grape peels/raisins, bread crumbs/crusts
Poseidon- salt, shells*, ginger
*just a note: in my offerings, some things don’t actually burn down to ash. Some things are just there as spiritual offerings. I typically have my offering stash in a tall bowl of some kind and toss in my burning sigil, and whatever burns, burns. Always be prepared for everything to catch fire, though.

Alright so, I've been interested in witchcraft for a while and I've finally decided to get into it. Now, the problem is every single time I start learning about something, another witch is like "IT'S BULLSHIT! DON'T FALL FOR IT!", so I'm just lost and very confused. So, can someone help out this 15 year old baby witch who wants to work with herbs, because I really don't know where to start.

This is my rose bush that I’ve had for three years and I am so happy that it’s budding 8 flowers this spring! But...
WHAT THE EVER LIVING FUCK IS THAT!?!?!???
Oracle Reading for 6-23-16 🔮🌕💜 Dawn: The light after the darkness. I love this card because it's about hope after a tough time. No matter how dark of a place you are in, there can always be hope on the other side. Don't lose sight of that. Don't give up. You can do it. You're a capable and beautiful soul, no matter where you are now. Halloween Oracle by Stacey Demarco.
