the longer you use python the greater a debt you accrue in semicolons owed
*whispers* (I’m whispering because it’s very important that we keep this very low key)
hey, you know that ancient grimoire you’ve been searching for but can’t get shipped to your country, is probably on Anna’s Archives. Yeah… you could download it for free… pretty much any text you can think of regardless of how old it is, it’s probably on there… give it a little searchy search and you’ll probably find the entire book for free… just saying.
Having a hard copy is always nice. But when I’m trying to figure out if a grimoire is worth dumping money on… it’s always nice to have a little free trial,…
just saying ….

• I have so many half finished drafts and I’m just going to forget about them and move on.
• I’m doing a productivity challenge and I haven’t posted once and I’ve highkey been slacking but I’m here so things are looking up. I’ll start making the posts about that tomorrow.
• The past weeks have been good but also not. I feel like I never seem to thrive at multiple things at once. But I won’t stop trying.
• I did some viola practice and also vocab Flashcards. The performance might be in July and I can play one of the pieces fairly well and the other isn’t too hard so I’ll definitely be ready by then.
• Unfortunately I have two exams in July and the chances of the performance and an exam being on the same day is insanely high. All I have to do to avoid disaster is start studying early enough and take my time and also practice consistently till then. Give myself no reason to crash and burn. Very simple. Haha.
• I decided to set some non-negotiable tasks for the productivity challenge. I plan to keep at them afterwards though. Preferably for the entire quarter. I’m aiming at forming some new habits.
• It’s nice to feel determined again, I just hope I can hold on to it.

you ask a student in april how they're doing and they'll say "oh i'm fine" but in reality they are treating themselves in such a way that violates the geneva convention on treatment of prisoners
I set up my grad school accounts today!! I also compiled a reading list that I organized on Zotero; the goal is to read, annotate, and start drafting a literature review for my first set of grant proposals due in early September.
I'm thrilled to be starting my PhD, and to work with the people who have inspired me. I've also missed being a student

hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

Hey guys! I hope everyone’s had a great start to their week.
I’m only working 3 days this week before going on a little weekend away with my boyfriend, so I’m trying to deal with the fact I probably won’t get a lot of work done. Still, I’m prioritising the corrections I was asked to make to my upgrade report as I need to have that over and done with before I go, and I’m very happy to report I’m almost finished! I should be able to wrap it up today.
In terms of experiments, I’m getting back in the lab this week after taking a little break and starting slow with some protein digestions. Nothing too difficult, but I was too stressed and low to do it last week unfortunately.
Otherwise, I plan to continue with some coding and statistics, just to make sure my last day is relatively chill, and when I come back from vacation I can attack the longer tasks again.
I hope everyone is feeling good and refreshed after the weekend. Remember: you can achieve whatever goal you set your mind to, just take it slow!!

15.03.25 || wishing everyone a good day unless you are caesar
Started my day working on a writing project I love but has no publisher. Fingers crossed that it will get a contract. Someone came to see my apartment today and hopefully take it over. It's a bittersweet moment, because I feel like I just arrived in my uni town and get to fully experience it after my exams took over my life for a good two years. And now I have to leave again 🥲
All the best

23.03.2025 I submitted my MBA essay ଘ(✿˵•́ ᴗ •̀˵) Thank God! Now, I just have to wait for my results. With one last thing to do, I can keep working on my AWS certs preparation, my Cisco Ethical Hacker and Security Network courses, read my books, and learn new things at work ٩(⊙‿⊙)۶ Wait a minute... I still have tons of things to do ლ(ಠ益ಠ)ლ Well, let's f*cking go then ʅ(ツ)ʃ Oh! Due to Lent I cannot drink alcohol, so I use this substitute sometimes (⌐▀͡ ̯ʖ▀)

I’m working from home today bc this weekend has completely destroyed my body.
For some reason, work is giving me energy I didn’t know I had and I ran a 10k with bestie in prep for the half marathon in May. (Who am I??)
Then immediately hosted a dinner gathering with friends, woke up late the next morning to have a large lunch to sustain ourselves for the day festival, where we danced for 8 hours. Sunday, bestie came over to sit in the sun and walk a couple hours in the city center to browse some books and debrief the festival. We had a big dinner together, courtesy of A, and talked til she went home.
I intended to get up and go this morning, but my body told me no. So I’m working from home today, hoping my Teams status doesn’t turn yellow as I make my way through environmental thermodynamics calculations and our stinky second child tries to participate by stepping on my keyboard.
a&p2 is slightly kicking my butt, but I’m determined to improve on my future exam scores! currently learning about the lymphatic and respiratory system ⭐️

Trying a new setup! Actually I’ve been trying to build a setup that I liked for the past few months and I think I’m finally getting somewhere! I brought my hourglass from home and it’s already making it feel a bit more like ‘me’
