activities to improve your life
(in no way do you have to do these or all of them in order to improve, these ade just little things to do to help you feel good about yourself <3)
- go on walks outside, or just get outside in someway. in the summers my boyfriend and I would walk a couple blocks to get a snowcone. now that's its spring I walk to the gas station near by to pick up energy drink for my boyfriend (spring semester)
- wake up earlier, now this one is important to me because I am a huge morning person and so is everyone in my family. but some people aren't naturally morning people. so dont feel like im saying wake up at 5am. I more mean wake up with enough time to enjoy your morning and look forward to the day, you don't want to rush to get ready
- drink an appropriate amount of water, I personally aim for about 60oz now, which I don't hot everyday, but when I first started trying to drink more water I started out with 20oz because I just wasn't drinking water. so don't push yourself because you'll only hate the water rather than appreciate what it can do for you
- journal every day. I normally don't journal about my day until the next morning as I reflect on the previous day, because I don't want the day to "end" before it's actually over. but I try to write reviews about episodes of the shows i like or take notes over my audiobooks and try to think about why I like/dislike them. I find that this helps me so that whenever I start getting emotionally overwhelmed to slow down and put into words what's wrong rather than just being overwhelmed
- working out to feel good rather than look good. I've had a terrible relationship with my body most of my life and so by working out to feel good i have different goals and schedules i followed than when I was trying to lose weight, and it's helping like my body even if it's not changing how it looks. I try to exercise at least 3 days a week, but if I don't feel good enough to i don't force myself (the walks outside are exercise too, so thats also helping me feel good even if I eat a snowcone immediately afterwards ^^)
- positive affirmations. I really struggle with this one, but I have a widget on my phone that rotates through different ones and im liking the ones that are good and at the end of the week in my journal I wrote them all out.
- look for long lasting happiness over short term happiness. this one is a lot harder i just wanted to add it on the end because sometimes I put off doing something I know will make me happy in the end because of short term gratification. I normally feal with this by letting them merge if I can (so like everything shower tiktoks while I get ready for my shower)

My Gut Health Routine That Doesnโt Involve Kimchi
by Soleau Club
I love a good wellness trend. But some of these gut health girlies are out here raw-dogging kimchi at 8AM and acting like itโs normal.
I tried. I really did. But fermented cabbage just doesnโt spark joy.
So I made it my mission to build a gut routine that actually feels cute, works without trauma, and keeps me bloat-free in bikinis without sacrificing taste buds or sanity.
Welcome to Gut Health for Hot Girlsโthe kimchi-free edition.
Yes, I still do the hot lemon water thingโbut I leveled it up with:
A pinch of pink Himalayan salt for minerals
A splash of aloe juice (I swear by it for digestion)
Sometimes a dash of apple cider vinegar, if Iโm feeling brave
Itโs like a gentle internal shower that whispers, โLetโs digest things like European girls do.โ
No weird fermented jars here. I keep it cute and easy with:
A non-dairy probiotic capsule (look for one with at least 20B CFUs)
Or a shot of coconut water kefir (mild, sweet, and gut-loving)
Bonus points: I store my probiotics next to my skincare so I never forget. Pretty girl digestion > chaos digestion.
Hereโs the tea no one tells you: your gut is deeply petty and reacts to your stress like a dramatic ex. If youโre anxious, overwhelmed, or doomscrolling on an empty stomachโyour gut feels it.
So every day, I do one of these:
A quick 5-minute breathwork sesh
EFT tapping (donโt knock it till you try it)
Journaling out stress before meals so I donโt eat in panic mode
These are my go-to de-bloat queens:
Ginger tea (warm, comforting, helps everything move)
Peppermint capsules (miracle for gas + indigestion)
Magnesium citrate at night for gentle โmovementโ if ya know what I mean
Alsoโฆ I eat pineapple almost daily because itโs cute and has enzymes. Functional โจandโจ flirty.
Instead of obsessing over food rules, I follow the โHot Girl Plateโ formula:
Protein (for blood sugar + metabolism)
Healthy fats (avocado, olive oil, seeds)
Fiber-rich carbs (veggies, fruit, sweet potato, or a little sourdough)
No side of shame included
This keeps me full, satisfied, and not bloated like a deflated pool float.
I donโt chug ice water with meals (bad for digestion, sorry)
I donโt snack 24/7 (I give my gut breaks to digest like the boss she is)
I donโt take random supplements I saw on TikTok (unless Iโve researched the heck out of them)
And noโstill no kimchi. Not even a cute pickled radish.
Gut health doesnโt have to feel gross, overwhelming, or smell like a fermented nightmare.
It can be:
chic,
intuitive,
and a little luxurious.
All it takes is the right ritual and a few ride-or-die habits that work for you. So ditch the shame, keep the glow, and listen to your body (not just your For You Page).
Because a happy gut = a hot girl.

+ emotional intelligence: the ability to understand emotions (yours + others) with empathy and how they impact behaviour. without it you are liable to be defensive, self-centred, and experience a feeling of disconnection (from self + others).
+ resilience: how well you react when something bad happens. do you fall apart or can you navigate challenges without setting yourself back?
+ critical thinking: the ability to slow down and approach ideas with rational intelligence so that you can make thoughtful, considered decisions instead of impulsive, reactive ones.
+ adaptability: remaining flexible to the circumstances and cultivating the ability to deal with change (see also: resilience). can be more difficult if neurodivergent; they key is to be gentle + forgiving with yourself.
+ (healthy) self-discipline: doing what you need to do regardless of whether you 'feel like it' (see also: emotional intelligence, so that you're not ruled by your emotional state). remember that you can cultivate healthy discipline with gentle nurture that builds confidence over time, rather than toxic discipline that uses shame, fear, and punishment.
+ self worth: continuously building the foundational idea that you are worthy of the good life. without self worth, most attempts at self-improvement start with grandiose ideas of huge change and result in broken promises, difficulty sticking to goals, and a spiralling shame cycle.
What to do when you canโt sleep ๐ค ๐๐
Hi cuties! It is currently 3am while Iโm writing this because I just woke up and couldnโt get back to sleep no matter what I did. This is pretty usual for me I am a chronic insomniac and even though I am medicated for it I still will wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to sleep. So here is what I do to make sure my day does not suck even when I only got a few hours of sleep.
First things first give yourself at least an hour without any lights or screen time.
You might still be able to fall back asleep but you got to give yourself the best chance so keep it dark get comfy and do breathing exercises.
If you need you can put on a meditation or breathing exercises video on YouTube those can help you focus rather than you doing it yourself.
If after that hour you are still not falling asleep you need to get out of your bed.
Your bed should be a place of rest so the only thing you should do is sleep in it. Sitting on your phone in your bed is going to create an unhealthy habit that is going to impact your sleep more.
The best thing I ever did for my sleep was making my bed a place I go to to sleep and only sleep
I like to start by realizing why I couldnโt sleep. Sometimes itโs insomnia. Sometimes itโs anxiety or stress. Sometimes itโs not feeling well (like physically sick)
If itโs anxiety or stress you can journal about it or if you are stressed because you have a big project you can even work on it some more or do some planning to make to make things easier. Or to ease your mind.
If you arenโt feeling well notice your symptoms and maybe take some medicine and try to feel better so you can go back to bed. If you are sick I recommend taking medicine then going back and trying to sleep again because that is the best thing for you.
Once you get up you need to understand that right now is probably the best you will feel the whole day.
You can only get more and more tired and you arenโt going to be able to go to sleep until your normal time (maybe a short five minute nap but anything longer you risk messing up your schedule more).
Itโs not the most fun realization but itโs important
If you are like me and you just have insomnia or there is no real reason why you canโt sleep I recommend doing things that will make your day easier.
You are going to be exhausted for most the day probably so anything you can do right now while you feel okay is best.
You can clean your room. Write your to do list. I also love doing my laundry because I usually can get it done before I have to start my day. Anything that you can do that future (significantly more tired) you might need help with.
I also recommend waiting to drink caffeine until you would normally.
The reason for this is because if you wake up at 1am you do a couple things and you start to feel tired again you can still go to bed and get multiple hours of sleep before you have to wake up. But if you drink caffeine at 2am you basically have gotten rid of that chance.
Also because the crash would happen sooner in the day making you feel so much worse.
If you have nothing to do I recommend doing something calming with minimal blue light.
I like to listen to calming music and read. This can also help put you back into the mood of sleeping.
Blue light is the same as caffeine too much too early can make your chances of those extra hours extremely low.
Not sleeping is the literal worst thing to deal with on a regular basis. While my medications do help I still have sleepless nights pretty regularly. This is honestly the best thing you can do it sucks but itโs better to tough it out and be tired. Hopefully the next time you go to bed youโll be so tired you fall asleep instantly. Also if you do struggle with insomnia regularly I recommend reaching out to your doctor because missing sleep is the worst thing for your health. As someone who had a whole year where I only slept a couple hours a week I know the full effects of sleep deprivation and it is not pretty. It might not be anything you are doing wrong it might be something only medication can fix and there is nothing wrong with that. I know that I will probably be on my sleeping meds my whole life but Iโd rather take the pill than have another year like that one.
