Ways to level up when you are bored🎧🤍🧘🏼♀️
Here are some simple things you can do when you have nothing to do that will still be more productive than doom scrolling.
Learn a new hair style/makeup look! (Works best if you search it with your face shape)
Watch a video essay about a topic you know nothing about.
Take a color analysis quiz and see what colors you have in your closet that suit you.
Create a vision board (physical or digital)
Try a new recipe for easy snacks
Reorganize your space so it flows easier.
Journal about your dream life as if you already have it.
Take a walk and listen to a podcast.
Clean your makeup brushes.
Try to make outfits with clothes you never wear.
Do a face mask and a hair mask.
Try a new workout format
Go over old flash cards (no point learning something if you forget it after the test)
Say affirmations into the mirror.
Record yourself speaking normally and see if there is anything you can improve to help with public speaking.
Go down a Wikipedia rabbit hole (learn something new)
That’s all I have for now what do you do when you are bored that’s not scrolling?

small life lessons we can all pick up from audrey hepburn ♡
be kind: what is more beautiful than someone who is genuinely kind? there was no doubt audrey had a huge heart! among her many amazing qualities this is what also magnified her beauty, she was a philanthropist and did humanitarian work around the world, constantly at aid to the people who needed it. audrey hepburn believed in kindness, she treated everyone around her with respect.
when you are kind your aura immediately becomes brighter, you attract what you put out into the world and people who are the same will naturally gravitate towards you because of the positive energy you’re putting out. treat everyone around you how you would like to be treated, say your pleases and thank you’s, give out compliments, and most importantly spread love!
“for beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” ~ audrey hepburn
“remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm. as you get older, remember you have another hand: the first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.” ~ audrey hepburn
learn languages: audrey was fluent in 6 languages! learning a new language brings you closer to the people and the culture for sure, and improves so many functions in your brain as well! It brings you so many job opportunities, and more of an excuse to travel the world!
the best part about learning a language in the twenty first century is that there is access to soooo much information for free online! youtube, tumblr, and language exchange apps have so much information when it comes to common languages people are learning around the world.
audrey speaking italian ♡:
be graceful: audrey hepburn exuded grace, despite all of the hardships she experienced in life including the natzi occupation in her home which resulted into a lot of unfortunate events, she still followed the things close to her heart like practicing ballet and attending classes before and after the occupation, becoming a actress and movie star, and devoting her time and energy to UNICEF. what a hard working woman!
audrey also had amazing posture from her ballet background and spoke to everyone soft and smoothly, it was so pleasant to hear her speak!
being graceful makes you radiate from the inside out, it’s in how you speak to yourself and others, it’s how you carry yourself, it’s giving your best to everything you do and are passionate about and wanting to better yourself as a person, it’s walking with confidence with everything you do that it will rub off on the people around you as well! walk tall with your shoulders back and chin held high, walk into your grace and own it!
apply these 3 things to your daily life and watch yourself slowly bloom into a person who is improving day by day into a lovely human being ♡

The Glow-Up Is a Lifestyle: 10 Ways to Elevate Your Everyday
by Soleau Club
If you're still thinking of a glow-up as a one-time thing, let's shift that energy. The glow-up is a lifestyle, not a crash course. It's how you pour your water, speak to yourself, and curate your entire damn aura. Here's how I subtly (but dramatically) elevate my everyday to keep it soft, hot, and high-vibe.
Folding laundry becomes a reset ritual when Sade is playing and there’s lavender mist in the air. I’m not "cleaning the kitchen" — I’m clearing space for my next manifestation.
I’m not punishing her with workouts or starving her. I move her with joy. I feed her with care. I rest her with luxury. She’s my ride-or-die, so I act like it.
Overbooked = overwhelmed = out of alignment. I’ve started turning things down that don’t feel like a full-body yes. If it doesn’t light me up or calm me down, it’s a no.
Hydration is a personality trait. I have one bottle for bed, one for my car, one that looks cute in Instagram pics — and I rotate through them like they're part of my identity.
Everything around me either adds to my peace or disrupts it. I choose candles, playlists, lighting, textures, and colors that feel like me. That is self-respect.
Walking slower. Eating slower. Answering slower. When I stopped rushing, I started glowing. Slow = sensual = regulated = powerful.
If I’m doom scrolling and comparing, I log out. If my vibe is off, I don’t keep feeding it content. I detox like I detox sugar — regularly and unapologetically.
If it’s not aligned, calming, inspiring, or luxurious in some way… I’m not buying it. Wealth starts with how you invest your attention, your time, and yes — your dollars.
Some days the vibe isn’t a green smoothie in a silk robe — it’s eating popcorn in mismatched pajamas while watching early 2000s rom-coms. That counts. That heals.
I’m not waiting to “glow up.” I’m embodying it. I wear the perfume now. I eat the nourishing food now. I take care of myself now. And suddenly, I’m already her.

i've had a topsy-turvy mental health journey in my time and i know that i am really good at self-victimising, self-blaming, and falling into thought spirals where i agonise over events and perceptions that are so tiny in real life.
it is important for me to identify when i am engaging in unhelpful behaviour, so i can find a way to shift. it feels like the hardest thing in the world but healing is a journey unique to everyone.
the info below comes from a single source and i hope to expand on mental health info in the future, but it might be helpful if you have an anxious mind or you're an overthinker.

BEHAVIOUR THAT KEEPS YOU STUCK IN YOUR HEAD
Responding to feelings by pulling them apart and looking for meaning
Denying how you feel because it doesn't make logical sense
Trying to talk yourself out of feeling sad, anxious, etc
Coming up with a reason for feelings
Overexplaining feelings
Feeling "numb"
Feeling embarassed or exposed by your feelings
Focusing on the "facts" as if emotions have no value or purpose
BEHAVIOUR TO BRING YOU INTO YOUR BODY
Noticing an emotion as it arises and naming it: "I'm feeling sad, angry, joyful, nervous, etc."
Locating and identifying bodily sensations: "I feel tightness in my belly, my chest is feeling constricted, there is tension in my jaw."
Using "I think" when you have a thought and "I feel" when you have an emotion, and knowing the difference
Allowing your feelings and sensations to be there without needing to make sense of them
Creating opportunities to move energy through the body (dance, screaming into a pillow, deep breathing)
SKILLS FOR THE EMOTIONALLY CONNECTED
Able to differentiate between thoughts, sensations, and feelings
Knowing when to take time and space to process intense emotions before making a decision or initiating a conversation
Trusting the body and exploring the messages it delivers without self-judgment
Being meditative and noticing when the mind is making up a story or being self-critical
Bringing presence into the body when overthinking or spiraling into fear and worry
Having a few favourite self-soothing methods, or reaching out for support when overwhelmed
Valuing both emotion and logic at different times
Making space for a spiritual practice and radical acceptance in your life
cool things i've been up to!
i've been sewing a lot!
so far, I've made, a tote bag (so, so cute, but I gotta wash it so the marking chalk washes off) and I'm currently working on a makeup pouch! I want to make cute summer tops and scandi shorts and pants, basically my whole wardrobe!
i started my sourdough starter
literally this sunday but, at first she died :( because I forgot I live in tropical weather and fed her as if I was in England or something
BUT then I found a different guide and I'm following it and she's thriving, I can't wait to make foccaccia!
i'm rewatching friends
honestly I love it but also rewatching i'm like guys, that is unhealthy lol, such a funny show but i can see it was the 90s (the fits are on point tho)
i'm daydreaming about my future home
i want a white house, with blue shutters...
no just kidding, but I do want a classical house in the countryside with a big garden and to have my own homestead with chickens and cats and carrots and a ton of natural light from the windows and a crafting studio for me
I'm trad-curious like, I want that nature connected life, not the 1950's mindset crap
things I wanna do!
i want to start a garden!
i still don't really know how my living situation will be because of my first year of college yet, but as soon as I do, I want to start a little vegetable garden, i want to hone my homesteading skills
i want to learn to knit
I spent over $60 on YARN, and I haven't used it! tbh it's cause the sound of yarn like existing makes my sensory issues go die but aaaaa I wanna make sweaters, honestly w my headphones on it should be fine but, I just love sewing rn!
i want to exercise again
guys the senior slump is real, like I'm blogging in school rn, and it's like I go to school and since i don't work nor rest I get home drained and feeling unaccomplished :( honestly i want to get my life together but school is such a roadblock! I can't wait for college to have calculus and physics and chem all day long, so that I can come home to my books and my sewing and my gym yk? anyways, I have access to the gym on my street now, and since summer is back, we can use the a.c, so, it's an easy way to get back in it
i want to take better care of my body
in disordered eating recovery, i think that exercise and nutrition wise (at least my relationship w both), i've got it covered, but i've been biting my nails again, and i don't like it, but i can't seem to stop, i just gotta break the inertia of it, if i get up and do my nails, i wont bite them
i think that's it, i lololoooove yapping, so expect these kinds of posts from me!
xoxo,
sofi

Every chic woman knows that a captivating day starts the night before. This routine is all about luxurious self-care – because waking up as the most poised, radiant version of yourself is a lifestyle. Ready to transform your evening into an elegant ritual? Let’s step into your new, elevated bedtime routine.
Create an Atmosphere: Begin by setting a serene mood. Dim the lights, light a sophisticated candle (think notes of sandalwood or bergamot), and play a calming jazz playlist. This is your time to unwind and transition into a world of serenity.
Sophisticated Cleansing: Start with a cleansing oil to melt away makeup and daily grime. Rinse it off, then follow with a gentle, hydrating cleanser. This double cleanse is like a reset button, leaving your skin ready for its nighttime restoration.
The Hydration Layer: Pat on a luxurious serum – hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, or a skin-renewing elixir. Then, apply a rich night cream. Imagine each layer as a silk robe for your skin, nurturing and hydrating it while you sleep.
Elevated Facial Massage: Use a jade roller or gua sha to massage in your serum. Not only is this relaxing, but it boosts circulation and helps define your natural contours. It’s a moment of quiet elegance – a way to remind yourself of your own grace.
Silk Essentials: Swap your pillowcase for silk. It’s gentle on your skin and hair, reducing friction while you sleep. A chic woman wakes up with smooth skin and effortless hair – because beauty is in the details.
Hair Ritual: Before bed, brush your hair and apply a touch of light hair oil to the ends. Twist it into a low bun or a loose braid for natural waves. It’s a simple yet sophisticated way to keep your hair looking polished in the morning.
The Nightcap: Pour yourself a cup of herbal tea – chamomile, peppermint, or lavender. Sip slowly, feeling the warmth relax your body. A classy woman indulges in these small, soothing rituals to unwind and replenish.
Outfit Planning: Select tomorrow's outfit with intention. Choose pieces that make you feel confident and chic, whether it’s a tailored blazer or that perfect little black dress. Lay everything out: jewelry, shoes, and bag – so your morning flows seamlessly.
Screen Detox: Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb” mode at least 30 minutes before bed. In this quiet time, you’re choosing presence and grace over endless scrolling.
Read Something Timeless: Replace your screen with a classic book or an inspiring magazine. This is how chic women nurture their minds and escape into elegance before drifting off.
Visualize Tomorrow: As you close your eyes, picture yourself waking up refreshed, glowing, and composed. See yourself moving through the day with grace and poise. You’re setting the stage for a day where everything aligns effortlessly.
This is more than a nighttime routine; it’s a ritual of self-respect and refinement. Wake up to your fullest potential, feeling radiant, empowered, and impeccably put-together. Sweet dreams, darling – tomorrow, the world is your runway. 🌟🛌🌹
From now on, whenever I catch myself thinking about a man, I’ll replace these thoughts with positive thoughts about me !
I’ll get over this phase over centering my life around men. They’re not worth it.
