everyone cheered when they said lines from the trailer (flint and steel, the nether, chicken jockey, etc)

there was a technoblade reference of a pig wearing a crown

there was a LOT of romantic tension between jason momoa and jack black. no really. like there will be fics. and i will be reading them.

jack black sung a couple songs. they were decent

a plan involved jason momoa and jack black wearing mushroom hats and playing trumpet in front of a group of evokers to distract them.

endermen don't just attack you, they make you hallucinate the people you love saying they hate you. and then they attack you

jason momoa sacrificed himself but came back at the end to save someone (classic)

there was a weird america's got talent reference ? nether's got talent ? and it was the backstory for the main villain ?? (they played pigstep)

"first we mine, then we craft. now let's minecraft!" was actually a line. they said that out loud.

a piglin named chungus said he was gonna unalive the main characters.

jennifer coolidge did date a villager it was like 3 total scenes and largely ignored

in the post credits scene the end the villager spoke in perfect british english and it was revealed jennifer coolidge could speak villager then they got married

i think seeing it in theaters is the best thing you can do because the audience was hilarious i have so many videos of everyone applauding and laughing and commenting on stuff. anyways i know technically it sucks but whatever i had a good time

a lot of people have been sharing predictions for the minecraft movie, so here's one of mine.

durring the credits, they will do a sequence recapping the movie in a style similar to the games (like the sonic movie). in this sequence, one of two things will happen. either:

1. they have the audacity to use minecraft steve, as if he will be easily recognizable as jack black and the casting was perfect.

or

2. they will use a skin that looks like jack black, making so painfully obvious that he could never be interpreted to look anything like steve!

(bonus points if they do it to a song that was manufactured to trend on tiktok)

okay, i've had a moment to collect my feelings and,

this movie looks so unprofessional like...

blue light is being cast on her hair from the portal that is clearly not casting a blue light on the environment.

the creeper is backlit by a soft blue light, while this goober is clearly backlit by a harsh white light.

also, the whole thing is backlit! nobody has light on their face in this trailer!

even here, you can clearly see the light is behind everyone, but they are supposedly facing eachother!?

why does this look like this!? why even bother with live action actors when the whole movie is animated!? and don't even get me started on the animation.

there's nothing technically wrong with the models... but it all looks so "minceraft mobs if dey wur reel!!1!"

i swear i saw this same sheep render in, like 2015.

Guess who went to watch the minecraft movie! Yep me and my boyfriend went to watch it with some of his friends (my friends now >:3)

I can confirm that the chicken jockey drama is cooled down, so it's save to watch in theaters now.

Anyways I had to bring my son with me since his dad is still being a danm dead beat like usual, anyways he enjoy it as well. He did try to throw popcorn at the chicken Jocky scene but we luckily stopped him from doing that :<

Definitely gonna draw us if we were in minecraft maybe in jurassic park since they are making a new one and we seen the trailer for it >u<

I'm in the middle of starting to building like my dream minecraft world, like with almost all those pretty building and decoration ideas from like pinterest but for the life of me, I can't figure out why my Nintendo Switch is so damn whiny. Like I'll have more then three add-ons and after like a hour or two it'll be having a hissy fit and kick me out of the game in total. >:{

Whatever really, I'll just have my boyfriend figure it out for me once I come to sleep at his place, we'll probably put our minecraft beds together >u<

good morning (life update)

its the day after easter and nothing has changed significantly in my life. however, i will be seeing snow white in theaters tomorrow to make fun of it with two of my friends and my sister!! im super excited, this is the second time we've all watched a movie together, the first time being the minecraft movie!

I watched the Minecraft movie on opening night (I know, I’m part of the problem) with my friends and I was genuinely stunned when people actually applauded at those stupid lines from the trailers, like I joked about doing a standing ovation every time they say something from the trailer but I didn’t actually think people would do it. And it wasn’t even like a tiny group of people clapping it was like thundering applause whenever Jack black said something from the teasers I expected there to be more families watching the movie, oblivious to the memes about it, but it was mostly just teens and young adults going to watch it as a joke. And I was sat with what seemed to be the only family in the theater who, bless her heart, was actually confused about the clapping and just went along with it

I can't believe the thing that finally got me to draw fanart instead of OC content was the Minecraft yaoi.

I remember in class today when I was mishearing everyone talking about “chicken jorkey” and I was thinking in my head

“Wtf is these guys talking about?…”

I genuinely thought they were talking and joking about straight up jorking it chicken style

And a few hours later I watched the minecraft movie and got my answer to my confusion .

My 9 year old kid brother asked me if I thought Steve’s wife from the Minecraft movie was pretty. I said I didn’t see the movie, who is his wife? Motherfucker googled a picture of JASON MOMOA?? I now am wondering if I should see the movie..?

in all honesty it was Alright ok i didn’t like it too much but it was good :) had fun

I don't know, after watching the trailer for the Minecraft movie I feel like they should change the design, something like Sonic's, I also don't understand the plot, it will be a Jumanji? I wouldn't mind but still what's up with that? I'm not completely convinced but I hope it's a great movie since Minecraft is one of my favorites and I love it.

I am so serious - if you have experienced a 2010 queerbait, and have a hint of game knowledge, go see the fucking Minecraft movie. Its not subtle. There's a bit every 5 minutes.

I sat in that theater- jaw SLACK watching what may be the most perfect casual not confirmed bit of old man yaoi cinema in casual movie viewing of the year. It will not be topped. This movie doesn't exist without them.

Was the movie good? No. But I had the best fucking time.

They fucking whitewashed Steve (again, but in the fucking movie, as fucking Jack Black) and made the characters look like the 2019 Sonic movie reveal shit but worse.

I don't like to base my identity around "Gen Z nostalgia", but my childhood doesn't deserve this.

a minecraft movie is a lesson in the fact that not every single movie has to be this super deep and complex artpiece with a deep heavy meaning.

some movies can just be silly and goofy movies for the fun of it. have a little whimsy in your lives people
