So, I’m making my own version of the Minecraft Movie we’re getting.

I saw the minecraft movie with some of my friends the other day (it was my second time watching it) and there were so many things I didn’t notice the first time that it honestly surprised me. The first time I watched it was probably better though because everyone clapped and cheered whenever one of the memes happened
Long story short I had a great time:)
the minecraft movie catering to fujoshis was not on my 2025 bingo card
So real I had the BEST movie ever experience with A Minecraft Movie

everyone cheered when they said lines from the trailer (flint and steel, the nether, chicken jockey, etc)
there was a technoblade reference of a pig wearing a crown
there was a LOT of romantic tension between jason momoa and jack black. no really. like there will be fics. and i will be reading them.
jack black sung a couple songs. they were decent
a plan involved jason momoa and jack black wearing mushroom hats and playing trumpet in front of a group of evokers to distract them.
endermen don't just attack you, they make you hallucinate the people you love saying they hate you. and then they attack you
jason momoa sacrificed himself but came back at the end to save someone (classic)
there was a weird america's got talent reference ? nether's got talent ? and it was the backstory for the main villain ?? (they played pigstep)
"first we mine, then we craft. now let's minecraft!" was actually a line. they said that out loud.
a piglin named chungus said he was gonna unalive the main characters.
jennifer coolidge did date a villager it was like 3 total scenes and largely ignored
in the post credits scene the end the villager spoke in perfect british english and it was revealed jennifer coolidge could speak villager then they got married
i think seeing it in theaters is the best thing you can do because the audience was hilarious i have so many videos of everyone applauding and laughing and commenting on stuff. anyways i know technically it sucks but whatever i had a good time
the cultural event of the Minecraft movie with Jack black and the chicken jockey scene that caused riots in theaters across the globe and 4chan dying with those being its last words and tumblr dancing on its fucking grave and
honestly wasn't expecting the Minecraft movie to be gay porn with barely a plot but.... I mean I'm not complaining....

Okay, I shouldn't be judging teasers, but I swear to gosh...WHY. I just- don't understand what I'm looking at here- literally so different from what I expected it to be...First of all- E V E R Y T H I N G IS WRONG WITH THE SHEEP, EVERYTHING! AND WHY DO THEY HAVE SO MANY THINGS WITH FUR, WHY DOES THE CREEPER..HAVE FUR! ID PREFER THEM STICKING REAL LIFE GRASS TO THAT CREEPER. I GET IT- BUT I ALSO REALLY DONT. I NEED THIS TEASER TO ELABORATE. ALSO WHO IS SAYING "STEP RIGHT THIS WAY!" L I K E ...I JUST DONT GET IT..PLEASE HELP THIS THING.

let’s get one thing straight about the Minecraft movie. It cannot be labeled a good or bad movie based on viewing it alone. As anyone who’s been looking at the reviews for it have seen, opinions on the matter are very split. To truly decide if the Minecraft movie was good or not, we need to know intentions.
If the intention of this movie was to use the nature of the inevitable cringe of the movie to not only: enhance comedic jokes that are more childish or poorly written by showing their qualities as purposeful, but also dig deeper into the nostalgic side of people and call out their childhood interactions with Minecraft as cringe but in a good way, yeah I think it was a good movie.
if the intention was to create something well made, complex, and clever while also adhering to modern day movie standards and working for the viewer intelligence points rather than viewer nostalgia points, it is not a good movie.
Yes the Minecraft movie is cringe, and yes the sheep look weird, and yes some of the dialogue is funky, and yes there are a million flaws but that’s the point. Or, it should be. If the Minecraft movie wants to be considered good, it needs to use these things to its advantage. As children, we were cringe and dumb and loved all of the oddities of Minecraft and the fandoms that went with them. By making a movie that's kind of shabby and really cringy, the creators are giving out a reminder that not everything has to be super well made to make an enjoyable movie. As long as it is intentional, all of these details make the Minecraft movie amazing, because it is exactly like us. Imperfect, flawed, cringe as hell.
Enjoy the Minecraft movie. Laugh at the jokes you would have laughed at as a ten year old. Don't think of anyone else in the theater (except for the staff, Jesus guys stop throwing popcorn on the ground) and certainly don't live off of the opinions of professional theatre critics because people can have different opinions.
Apparently MCSM is getting a bit of a resurgence bc people hated the Minecraft Movie trailer so bad. I've been into MCSM for several years and Gravity Falls for about one year, and the Book of Bill coming out made that fandom just explode.
Both my fandoms (well, two of them) are having a resurgence. At the same time.

Just watched the Minecraft movie. Some of my favorite parts:
Jennifer Coolidge saying "he can bag me up and drag me out to the curb" and the whole theater laughing so hard you couldn't hear the movie
"I. Am. Steve" "As a child, I yearned for the mines" and more being said by the ENTIRE theater
The antagonist just straight up kills a child.
Gay piglin saying unalive
Jack Black slapping the daggers out of the piglin sorceress's hand with increasing disappointment
The guys all being cowards and whatnot then the screen changes to the woman with 15 side hustles and the stressed out teen guardian beating the shit out of monsters with no qualms
The villager just straight up talks in a British accent at the end of it. Bc Jennifer Coolidge and him fell so deep in love after she hit him with her car that he learned English (with a British accent for some reason despite everyone being American)
"are you finished" "no I think he's Swedish" bc Minecraft is a swedish game

All in all, the movie was not as bad as you've probably been led to believe. However, I must say that it is a movie made much, MUCH better in a crowded theater. Especially when there's some kid going "absolute cinema" two rows in front of u, and a couple teenagers calling Jack Black and Jason Mamoa gay.
