Send me ♤ and I will write a headcanon about our muses relationship (open) || @kienokoru

image

Both Shiro and Pidge like to brag about each other. Shiro will boast about Pidge’s accomplishments, which usually looks like, “Oh, this is Pidge, our tech specialist.” Meanwhile, Pidge will brag go on about Shiro’s potential, which usually looks like, “I bet Shiro could beat you up with one hand tied behind his back!” Either way, they’re both really proud of each other.

Spurred by Matt calling it a “rite of brotherhood,” Shiro tried coming up with his own embarrassing nickname for Katie. He tried basing it on her middle name, since he thought it was kinda silly that Sam and Colleen would name their daughter “Kelp” of all things. He went with “Kelpie,” which he thought was more cutesy than embarrassing, and Katie instantly started crying. Ever since then, he’s tried to steer clear of nicknames. The exception here being “Pidge,” of course; although, he finds himself stumbling over it sometimes. He still remembers the time Katie replaced Matt’s toothpaste with mayonnaise for calling her “Pudgey Pidgey.”

Re: Shiro generally steering clear of calling Katie “Kelpie.” Shiro totally used it more than once. Matt had to assure him Katie was just really good at crocodile tears, but after that, they’d occasionally team-up against Katie with their respective embarrassing nicknames for her. Katie always lost those fights, because the only nicknames she had for Shiro and Matt were either from her toddler-years or just straight up insults. She could try telling Sam or Colleen on them, but she’s the one that ended up in trouble. She dreads the day Shiro brings “Kelpie” back into the cycle.

Send a ‘📃’ for a short drabble involving our muses (Closed) || @kienokoru

Shiro adapts to alien-care

In the briefest of instances, Shiro became aware of the void of sleep. He wanted to succumb to unconsciousness again (A secondary part of him marvels at the fact that he’s waking up at his own leisure, as opposed to being shaken or jolted awake by orderlies or nightmares), but in his half-asleep state, Shiro felt like something was up. Not wrong, just off—like he forgot something or slept on his leg weird.

As he faded further from dreams, and drifted closer to consciousness, Shiro understood what was the off feeling was about—his arm was wet.

One groggy eye at a time, he peels them open to the dingy motel room turned home-base. His sensations realign themselves with reality, and Shiro realizes that his prosthetic arm is the drenched one. The reason why is simple: Vanx.

Even as Shiro returned to the land of the living, she continued to gnaw on his arm—smearing her slobber all over the place.

It’s pretty gross. In a cute kind of way? No, no—Shiro prefers his limbs not-slobbered-on, even if his prosthetic arm could be power-washed. He half-mumbles in a groggy voice, “Come on, Vanx,” and jiggles his arm to a great clinking of teeth.

Vanx looks up—with her jaws still clamped down on his arm—and stares with big guilty eyes that scream, “I didn’t think you’d catch me red-handed.“

Vanx finally drops his arm and scooches some away. Grunting, Shiro stretches out his back. As sketchy as the mattress looks (and smells), it would’ve been better for him than leaning on headboard. Then again, a little soreness was the least of his worries.

Having popped as many cricks down his spine as he could, Shiro takes stock of his prosthetic arm; at least, he does after smearing it across the sheets, just to get the first layer of slobber off it. As he assesses for damage, Vanx pipes up with a more nervous-sounding yelp, “I swear I did not break any parts!”

Shiro realizes he’s been wearing a more so disgusted look. He is pretty grossed out, but he doesn’t want Vanx to think she’s in trouble. He’s not angry, or even really frustrated, so much as he’s just struggling. He’s never handled kids that teethed, much less kids that teethed like Vanx.

He’s seen her try to eat through walls.

Putting on a warm smile, his voice turns gentle as he tries to reassure Vanx. “I’m sure you didn’t, but we still need to be careful. I need this to get around and fight, too.” He’s been flexing his fingers and everything seems to be in order—no damage, and from the look of things, very few scuff marks. “You don’t want to leave me without an arm, right?”

“Oh.” Vanx blinks and her voice drops to low tone, something that suggests she better understands the gravity of the issue. “I am sorry.”

Shiro let out a small sigh of relief. “Thank you.”

“Yes, I am sure you would be very sad if you could not do any more arm wrestling.”

Shiro blinks at that, feeling a twinge of offense spring up in his gut. “That’s not– I don’t–” He sputters for a moment as he collects his thoughts. “I was arm wrestling long before I got this arm, ”

Vanx makes a face of scrutiny as she looks between either of Shiro’s arms. “But.. your flesh arm is so weak and edible.”

“Well, yes, but arm wrestling isn’t just about strength, you also have to have the proper technique, and–” Shiro stops himself before he goes too deep into that rabbit hole. He ignores the more disturbing half of Vanx’s comment, and tries to not to regret showing her how to arm wrestle.

It helped past the time, and it was fun game they enjoyed.

“Look, it’s not just about me being able to arm wrestle or not. This arm is.. apart of me.” He said the last part hesitantly, like he didn’t really want to admit it. For a moment, his eyebrows furrow together, but his expression evens-out again. “If you need to gnaw on something, then we can get you something like, uh.. chew toy?”

He cringed inwardly at that word choice. It felt a little dehumanizing, offering a little kid dog toys. Vanx, on the other hand, perked up at that. She sounded excited as can be as she practically squealed, “Really?”

Shiro reminds himself, once again, that alien kids usually like alien toys, and those aren’t always like human toys.

“Yeah, sure, I’ll get you the next one we come across.” Shiro laughed at the way Vanx fist-pumped to herself.  He swung his legs over the side of the bed, and as he stood up, he rolls both his shoulder to even more cricks and pops. “But, how about we have another rematch before we start off the day?”

Vanx beamed at the idea and scurried off the bed herself. With just a grunt, she   was already hefting the nightstand from the other side of the bed to the middle of the room (While she lacked any kind of technique, the kid had more than enough brute strength). She always thought she’d beat Shiro at arm wrestling, and Shiro would be lying if he said a small part of himself wouldn’t feel vindicated by beating her yet again.

But it’d all be in the name of fun and games, and it’d make for a good distraction from the grimy city outside.

God is the gps of my life, without him I am lost. Without his direction, the enemy will navigate me towards death. Death of my salvation. Death of my purpose. Death of my calling to be Christ like. Don’t forget to plug God into your navigation system. We all make wrong turns. Maybe even some illegal u-turns, but God will be there to reset the route and get you started back on your journey back to YOU. Back to HIM. Back to HOME. 🖤

I was just thinking about how people have a hard time believing this stuff. Especially believers. If you believe that Jesus did amazing miracles and died on the cross and then ROSE from the dead. (All super natural things.) How is it hard for them to believe the capabilities of the enemy and the supernatural world in that aspect? They don’t want to accept that there is evil? Are they THAT blind? Also Christianity is always being attacked. Jesus is always being ridiculed. That makes it even MORE real to me. That all the focus is on breaking down the Christian belief and TRYING to take what Jesus did for us to be in vain. We have to understand that the Bible is LITERALLY the living word of God! Like my friend and I were saying today, you can be book smart but still a sheep. Being book smart has NOTHING to do with being spiritually awake. Some people just can’t see past the wool. It’s so sad. Some of our very own loved ones. 😔

𝙽̷̧̣̣̇̄̆ͪ͜𝙾̷ 0N

“Responsibility is not blame. Responsibility doesn’t mean that you did something “wrong”. It doesn’t mean that you caused something. It means that you can respond *in the present moment* to whatever is happening. It’s response-ability. It’s the ability to respond in the present moment. To say that we are wounded is one thing. To say that we are inevitably stuck that way because of what happened to us a long time ago is to abdicate responsibility, because it means “I’m simply a victim, and I can’t respond in any creative, powerful fashion, to what happened to me.”” -Gabor Maté

"If terrible things have happened to you, you are to have grown wiser. If the worst possible events have befallen you, you should be the wisest of the lot, but instead of going wise, most people become wounded. In a state of conscious response, it is possible to use any life situation, however ugly, as an opportunity for growth. But if you habitually think, I am the way I am because of someone else, you're using life situations merely as an opportunity for self-destruction or stagnation. The most horrific things in life, can be a source of nourishment if you accept, I am responsible for the way I am now. It is possible to transform the greatest adversity into a stepping stone for personal growth. If you take 100% responsibility for the way you are now, a brighter tomorrow is possible. But if you take no responsibility for the present, if you blame your parents, your friend, your husband, your girlfriend, your colleagues for the way you are, you have forsaken your future even before it comes." - Sadhguru

Soul Connected

I was looking for me But I found you While soul searching I found truth That everything was in my head I was so used to past abuse Little did I know How my soul searching Would bring me to you I searched for my soul But my soul searched for yours Soul searching opened so many doors It’s like we vibe better We know we can weather any storm Sex was always amazing But now it’s more than our flesh Our souls make love Why should they get second best So many walls broken through I’m so glad my soul found you In the process of it all We learned the true meaning of This union Has nothing to do with rings, Vows, papers, or the fate of Divorce loomin’

Maaaan I’m tired of being left on read There’s so much shit left unsaid I’m tired of forcing relationships It’s like my time ain’t worth shit. Let me not be tired no more Let me be stronger then before. Let me remind you of who I am. Wasted energy trying to show you me mannnn. I’ve become so transparent for you to see But yet it’s like you see right through me. So here goes let me remind you what you’re working with. Let me remind you right quick, have several seats Take your pick. I’m a Bronx native, Yonkers raised Bori-Italia pero I only rep the tribe I was only sent to earth to connect & Vibe Momma-daughter “divorce” Foster care system But despite of it all I would never diss em. It made me who I am A woman who refuses to fall. I most definitely strive to do my all. I got a heart of gold & would do most for many But I stay picky with who I keep near I rather stay a loner Then look for plenty Of fakes, lies and snakes. Mistakes. They rather show you love at wakes. People don’t understand there’s lives at stake. That’s why I don’t have time for fakes.

Today I made a promise. To keep my emotions in check. To watch what I say before I say it. To stop cursing like a sailor. Man that’s a lot to ask from me. BUT when my lack of skills of navigating through my emotions effects the ones I love, then it’s a must. It’s a lot to admit when I’m wrong because I NEVER EVER want to be the reason for someone’s pain. I know all of us are a villain in someone’s story, but as for my family. I will always strive to be the hero. Hey even Hero’s make mistakes I guess. Egos get in the way. Emotions are high. Shi-Stuff Happens. Most importantly I made a promise to STOP absorbing everyone’s feelings. Love them. Care for them. But you can’t save EVERYONE. What I will do is save myself and be the best version of myself to be able to help others and not leave myself on Empty. If I’m empty I can’t give as freely. My resources are limited. So instead of wasting my energy on anger and getting super riled up, I will focus on healing myself to heal others. 🙏🏼 It sounds so easy! But yea...here goes.

CLARK / @amcssing ——— A Blur Of Azure, A Flicker Of Red, A Dash Of Gold—— It’s The Roar Of

CLARK / @amcssing ——— a blur of azure, a flicker of red, a dash of gold—— it’s the roar of wind, the tearing of sound then the chill of the tundra. crystal shards stacked high, threatening to pierce heaven itself yet … they would never. gently it holds the world aloft, an icy place of solitude and respite, a place where even heroes might rest: a fortress. ears perk, catch the sound of clicking heels, the gentle shift of blonde hair, the sound of plush lips made stern. a boom—— a clap of thunder, the roar that announces the elation of flight before he appears. clark hovers, weightless, blues peering at her with a stars luminosity. warm, inviting, kind. boots tap the ground gentle, no longer content to linger above … no, eager to stand beside. cape swishes, faint traces of wear, a battle fought and won. strong fingers, warm like flame cup her cheeks, forehead resting against hers. ‘I’m starting to think you like the fortress of solitude way more than I do, Emma. Trying to live up to the last name?’

CLARK / @amcssing ——— A Blur Of Azure, A Flicker Of Red, A Dash Of Gold—— It’s The Roar Of

SHE FEELS HIM BEFORE she hears him, sees him, before the wind shifts and suddenly he is here. summer fruits / warm flannel / old folk music / sunsets. her silence interrupted but for once, it is welcome, this cacophony of thoughts running mile - a - minute . the moment her mind can touch his, the rigidness of her shoulders seems to melt.

lashes flutter shut, brushing the cheeks lifted with touch. his hands are calloused----how are they so soft ? questions she'll never ask because she doesn't care for an answer. first time she's had that thought since her arrival, which was, how long ago ? emma loses track of time here with an unnerving ease. or perhaps comforting ease.

CLARK / @amcssing ——— A Blur Of Azure, A Flicker Of Red, A Dash Of Gold—— It’s The Roar Of

-- " can you blame me ? "

it isn't a real question / he would never. he would never blame her for her loneliness, her wondering. and wondering she has been: her curse is to think, after all. to think of her responsibilities, her loves, her life. her failures. broken children, broken heroes. for every time she attempts to protect the metahumans, does she do anything but paint targets upon their backs ? her heart so open, yet caged.

he frees it. instantly. emma looks up into eyes full oif hope and the glacier melts, so does her gaze. a forehead 'gainst chest. something solid to lean against / not violent, but fierce. unmoving. she is diamond, but he is her rock. holding her down to the ground despite his ability to fly. perhaps that's what drew her in, after all these years; someone with a genuine want to hold her without suffocating. protect, not control. an open mind both literally and figuratively, easy to forgive and easier to trust.

his mindsong hums against hers, and she doesn't read them, just listens. enjoys the comfort of his alien mind with hers, his very human embrace.

-- " ... i apologise. i should have had batman inform you i was leaving. you didn't need to rush here so suddenly. "
