fear of shifting or an extinction burst in disguise?

a shay theory

let’s talk about fear—not just any fear, but that sudden wave of anxiety, doubt, or hesitation that creeps in right before or during your shifting attempts. when your heart begins to race or you can no longer breathe or when you feel right at the precipice of shifting but something is holding you back… what if that fear isn’t actually a roadblock, but a sign?

this ties into something called an extinction burst—a concept in psychology that happens when an old habit or pattern is about to be replaced by a new one. right before the shift happens (in both behavior and consciousness), the old pattern fights to stay in place. it flares up, intensifies, and does everything it can to keep things the same.

so let’s relate this to shifting:

if you’ve been conditioned to believe that shifting is difficult, impossible, or even scary, your subconscious has built a pattern around that belief. and when you start genuinely stepping into the mindset that shifting is natural, easy, and happening now, that old belief doesn’t just disappear—it pushes back.

this resistance often shows up as:

sudden intrusive thoughts about shifting being dangerous or “not real”

feeling like something is “stopping” you

an overwhelming fear right before or as you attempt

irrational anxiety about what will happen if you succeed

this fear isn’t a sign to stop—it’s a sign to keep going. your subconscious is reacting because it senses change, and change feels like a threat to the old belief system. but if you push through, the fear loses power, and the new belief (that shifting is natural and innate) takes its place.

how to navigate the extinction burst:

understand this fear is not real danger. it’s the old pattern trying to cling on before it fades away.

instead of resisting the fear, observe it. say to yourself, “this is just an extinction burst, which means I’m close/already there.”

shift through the fear. accept that it’s just noise, not a stop sign.

remind yourself, “shifting is natural, and I allow myself to do it.” the more you affirm this, the weaker the fear becomes.

extinction bursts spike right before a breakthrough, but if you push past them, they fade, and the new pattern takes hold. allow the new pattern to take hold. allow yourself to shift.

there is nothing new. no revelation, no eureka moment, no half-lit epiphany waiting in the wings to drape itself over you like some scene-stealing ingenue. not in shifting, not in loa. this is not a murder mystery; the butler did it, the secret was never secret, and the call is always coming from inside the house.

but then again, the debate flares up, bright and exhausted, like the end of a cigarette crushed against marble. tiktok is misinformation central, tumblr is an echo chamber, et cetera, et cetera. apples and oranges, atomic bomb and coughing baby. false equivalence. but sure, let’s pretend.

if you think the community is boring, i regret to inform you: you are looking for the plot twist in a story that does not require one. you are waiting for the second act crisis in a structure that is flat by design. you are watching water boil and bemoaning its predictability. shifting is easy. loa is easy. the mechanics are not some esoteric alchemy known only to those who speak in riddles or upcharge pdf guides. you just do it. you know and it happens.

but there will always be some industrious soul stepping onto their soapbox, announcing, with the breathless urgency of a man who has cracked the zodiac cipher, that they have discovered "the secret." as if there is some clandestine order, some walled garden of enlightenment, some ineffable password to be whispered at the gates of the promised land. but let’s be serious. it’s all one big game of emperor’s new clothes. the trick is that there is no trick. the prestige is that there is no prestige.

people will dress up the simple in filigree because they cannot handle the terrifying freedom of ease. they will spin their wheels because stillness scares them more than failure. they will reject the plain truth in favor of the labyrinthine lie because, deep down, they want the struggle. the suffering. the uphill battle. because what are we without a climb? what are we if it’s just......easy?

you don’t need another revelation, another discourse, another rearrangement of the same three puzzle pieces. shifting is easy. loa is easy. and the only real "secret" is accepting that it always was.

it’s been a bit since i’ve made a shifting diary post on here. truthfully speaking, it’s been a while since i’ve even journaled privately about my journey (or anything). i feel a bit lost, my heart aches so much sometimes it feels as though im actually physically hurting. i’m just not sure what to do any more, and im tired.

this isn’t the first time i’ve made a post talking about what im about to. my shifting journey has been heavily tied with my dreams. constant dreams of shifting, my dr, my s/os etc… and still i can’t make sense of it.

last night i dreamt of trying to shift and it didn’t work. i don’t think i was even lucid. (this has happened before too).

just as say in basically every shifting entry, i’ve tried shifting through lucid dreams countless times and i just don’t understand why it’s never worked. yea, maybe it’s not the way for me and that’s cool, but i’ve genuinely believed (especially in the beginning part of my journey) that lucid dreaming was the way for me. i’ve done it many different ways, i’ve done it with many different mindsets, i mean i’ve tried without even being aware i was dreaming.

i know my journey is mine and mine alone, but i really am frustrated and hurting and honestly just confused. and i just don’t know what to do anymore.

as much as other people say things like “what’s a couple of years for many lifetimes of your dream” and i get that, it doesn’t change the feeling of it sometimes just not working. and hey, i’ve made peace in certain lights of waking up here, but that doesn’t change that i long to be elsewhere and belong in different places. i’ve always known i was bigger than just this. so why am i still here?

I would just like to say— because i’ve had this thought for approximately 15 days now— if you feel super stuck or frustrated in your journey right now and also feel like your team isn’t helping out, or they’re giving you the same advice they always give, it’s likely because you’re closer to shifting than you currently think.

i’m gonna use hunger games as an example for this, bear with me but in the first book, katniss is dying of thirst and she resorts to just shouting up at the sky hoping that haymitch will get a sponsor to send her water. he does not. katniss is confused by this momentarily before realizing that sponsor gifts are given only by absolute necessity. which means, if haymitch is silent, then katniss is closer to water than she thinks. a couple minutes of walking later and she finds the fresh water stream…

view shifting in the same way. haymitch is your team or the universe if you will. you’re katniss. the water is your dr. you might feel stuck and lost right now and might not know what the hell is going on or why you haven’t shifted yet but in a few short steps you’re gonna get to your water source!

persist. don’t give up when you’re right at the finish line.

Lucid Dreaming and How to Enter the Void

This is probably the easiest, most effective, and yet the hardest way to enter the void. What is this method? Closing your eyes during a dream. If you close your eyes, your dream will disappear and you will be left in the void state. This is easy enough but the problem is acctually being aware you're in a dream. This is where lucid dreaming comes in.

I'm sure most of us know what lucid dreaming is so I won't go too into it but basically, lucid dreaming refers to a dream state characterized by the dreamers’ awareness of being in a dream and being able to control its content.

There are many methods to lucid dream and I want to direct everyone to this super helpful document by @kiramizukiii. This is a more in depth guide into lucid dreaming and lists many ways to induce a lucid dream. However, I would like to pull on my own experiences for this. My own method to lucid dream is using this subliminal. I just listen to it a few times (roughly 5 to 6 times) before falling asleep and I get lucid dreams everytime! I highly suggest everyone to atleast try this subliminal.

Once you're lucid dreaming, you can either close your eyes and be left in the void state like stated above or create a portal for the void and enter through that. Here is a post about creating portals but personally, I never tried it but if you think this method is more suited for you, I suggest looking into the post.

How I lucid dream multiple times a week

As a disclaimer I've always had extremely vivid dreams and nightmares and even had spontaneous lucid dreams even though with low lucidity and dream control. These are the steps I took to have regular lucid dreams with high lucidity and good dream control:

DREAM JOURNAL. Almost every signle day I would write down as much of my dreams as I could remember. My sleep is not very deep and i tend to wake up a lot during the night. Everytime I woke up I would write the dreams I had on my phone, if I was too tired I would just write some keywords and then write everything I could remember about the dreams in the morning.

DREAM SIGNS. When journaling my dreams I would always add a section at the end called Dream Sings in which I would note things that are either recurrent in my dreams or absurd enough to only be able to happen in a dream. Example: A monster was chasing me in a house with long corridors and many doors DREAM SIGNS: i was beign chased (recurrent dream sign), there was a monster (absurd dream sign)

REALITY CHECKS. Everytime I experienced a "dream signs" I would perform a reality check. I personally count my fingers as a reality check or I try to fly off the ground. If I count more or less than ten fingers or if I am able to fly I know that I am dreaming.

CLARITY / DREAM CONTROL. Once I know I am dreaming I calm down and try to ground myself. To stabilize and increase clarity I do thing like spinning around or rubbing my hands together. I also sometimes say "Increase clarity" outloud. I try to think about things of increasing complexity to increase my lucidity and I keep remining myself that I am in a dream. To ground myself I also try to engage my five senses especially by touching things around me. I have not pefected dream control yet but I can do basic thing like flying, perform magic or summon objects and people.

Another thing that helps me to lucid dream more often is thinking about lucid dreaming during the day. I have tried shifting thorugh a lucid dream countless times but I have never been succesfull unfortunately. I will probably start to document my shifting attempts through LDs!! If you have any tips they are more than welcome!!

i’m almost to 2k and that’s insane, let us commemorate this (close) milestone with a peek into some scenarios!

s/o scenarios as inspo!

- s/o tucking blankets around me when I stir in the night

- going on a camping trip and sharing a sleeping bag

- sitting behind me as they teach me how to play guitar (or any instrument, works real well for drums teehee)

- decorating the christmas tree together and lifting me up to place the topper

- helping them to undress after an injury and cleaning their wound

- holding hands to not lose each other in a crowd but neither of us letting go once out of it

- friends ship us before we know we like each other

- dancing in the snow and together and snow collecting in my hair

- they put lip balm on my lips for me

- while on the train/bus, their hand covers mine on the bar while we stand

- them putting a necklace they bought for me on my neck

- them putting their hand in my back pocket/me putting mine in their jacket pocket to hold theirs

- waking up to see a gift on the bed and a handwritten note

- trying to get out of bed for the day and they pull me back in by the waist

- looking up and catching them already staring at me but they don’t look away

- being my date after my initial one ghosted/cancelled last minute

- claiming we’re together to someone who’s interested even though we’re not yet

- them telling me a story to help me sleep while rubbing my back

- neither of us having good sleep but when together, we finally feel safe enough to doze (logan and me WHO SAID THAT???)

- inner thigh kisses

- hands gliding up my waist pulling up my shirt

- grabbing me from behind and pulling me to their body just to whisper in my ear

- being swarmed by paps/fans and s/o comes back to defend me and get me into the venue safely

- dreaming of each other before first meeting

- instant connection but slow burn because we’re both scared of rejection

- one touch from me is potentially deadly but they don’t care and kiss me anyway

- confessing feelings but it never being sober

- both being in relationships but pining after each other

- being grumpy all day but old friend returns and suddenly being happier. s/o scrutinizing that person randomly out of jealousy and maybe being competitive

- double date bowling match where we’re paying more attention to each other than our dates

- everyone dresses up for halloween and we accidentally match costumes (like they do the counterpart of my costume)

What is the Law of Assumption?

the law of assumption is a universal law that states that whatever you assume to be true, is true. This law is always working, it can never stop working as 90% of our thoughts are assumptions. Assumptions can be created by our circumstance, perception, and opinions of the world around us.

What is an Assumption? 

The google definition of an assumption is “a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof”, meaning that you assume something as true without having proof in front of you to support that statement.

An example of assumptions are:

“The weather is always hot here”

“I’m not good enough to do this”

“People who dress casually don’t care about their appearance”

Assumptions can be menial or controversial, it doesn't matter what they are, you just need to realize you assume the things in your life all the time.

What is the Subconscious and Conscious mind?

The subconscious mind is a part of the brain that is not focally aware (it can’t see!).  This part of your brain is always consuming information from you , it stores long term memories, beliefs, and assumptions without you being aware of it. It acts on the assumptions you repeatedly persist in and it does not care if the assumption is true or false, it works on what you focus on most. 

The conscious mind is the part of your mind that you are aware of. This part controls your logical/active thinking. Here you make decisions, set goals, analyze situation, and focus attention on tasks or subjects. Here you consciously decide and identify with your desire and choose affirmations and/or visualizations to ‘impress’ your subconscious mind. 

In summary, The conscious helps you set the intention of your desire and the subconscious mind absorbs this intention, aligns your feelings, and works to create the reality to match it. 

What is the 3D and 4D?

The 3D is the physical reality you perceive with your senses( smell, touch, see, taste, hear). It is a mirror that reflects your inner state.

The 4D is your imagination and inner consciousness (your awareness that exists beyond consciousness and/or the true self separate from external influence). 

Awareness is is your true self ( sometimes considered God or Creator), it operates in the 4D.

Ego is your human identity, bound to logic, past experiences, and physical senses. The ego cannot perceive the workings of the 4D and may have fear/doubts. 

Time and Detachment

 Manifestation is instant. Your inner world is creating the outer world, and as soon as you change your assumptions and feelings, the outer reality shifts.

The 3D world doesn’t control you,  it reflects you. While you interact with it, don’t accept it as your ultimate reality. If circumstances frustrate you, allow yourself to feel those emotions but remind yourself that they’re remnants of an old state. Let doubts or fears arise naturally. Instead of arguing with yourself and getting frustrated, let the thoughts pass and know these doubts have no affect on your desires.

 Time is an irrelevant concept because the moment you assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, the manifestation has taken place, and is finished. 

The inner you/4D does not experience time, you have it instantly. Do not be bound by your physical reality, that is not your true self. 

What is a state?

A state is the mental and emotional condition you are in. It reflects your beliefs, assumptions, and feelings about yourself and your desire. The goal in manifestation is to consciously shift your state of already having your desires. The key is to embody the feelings and thoughts of the desired state. Understand that your inner world shapes your outer experience. For instance, if you want to manifest abundance, you need to live in the state of abundance by feeling and thinking as though you are already wealthy.

The state of fulfillment is the feeling that what you want is already true in your life. In this state you are confident and assured that your desires have already materialized. This state will feel natural and effortless (as manifestation should be).

You can change your state by changing your thoughts, feelings, and assumptions on your desire.  

How do I manifest?

Step 1: Decide What You Want

Get clear on your desire. 

Step 2: Assume It Is Already Yours

Imagine yourself already having your desire. Use the phrase: “I am/have [your desire].”

Step 3: Feel It as True

Experience the feeling of already having it. It’s not about forcing emotions but genuinely dwelling in the state where your desire is fulfilled.

Step 4: Let It Be

After assuming your desire, release the need to “make it happen” in the 3D. Trust that it is already yours and will reflect externally. 

Can I manifest xyz?

Yes. you can manifest whatever you want, it doesn’t matter if it seems unrealistic or impossible, you can still manifest whatever you want. You perceive some desires as big or unattainable because of societies own assumptions on it. You don’t need to suffer to get good things, you don’t need to work, or change your circumstance to get good things. It all relies on your thoughts.  

How do I persist?

To persist means that you stay firm in your assumption that your desire has already manifested, regardless of any circumstances, fears, and doubts. When you persist, you acknowledge that doubts and fears may appear, but you don’t give up on your belief in your desired outcome. In essence, you're just reminding yourself that you have your desire. You can live in the end, affirm, visualize, script etc, or anyway you want to persist.

 Persistence is about consistency. This doesn’t mean obsessing over your desires, but consistently maintaining your belief in the manifestation.

Remind yourself that your desire has already manifested in the 4D, and your 3D reality is simply catching up. 

Void State

The void state is pure consciousness (or pure awareness), free from physical senses and 3D distractions. Entering this state is about detaching from external reality and focusing solely on your awareness. This can happen at any time with practice. Relax your body, let go of external thoughts, and place your awareness on your inner state. The void is where you realize your infinite creative power as awareness.

Who is Neville Goddard?

Goddard was a teach and author known for teaching the powers of manifestation, imagination, and consciousness. His principles align heavily with the Law of Assumption and we continue to use his teaching's today.

Imagination

Goddard taught that imagining a scene as though it already happened is the key to manifesting it in reality. He believed that our imaginations is the force behind everything in life. You don’t need external validation or techniques to manifest,  simply need to shift your inner state.

God is within You

Goddard taught that God is not a separate from us but rather the power of awareness  within all of us. If you identify as someone who has what they desire, your outer world will reflect that identity. He referred this to the “I AM” state, which is the force of universe.

“Man is all imagination, and God is man and exists in us and we in Him.”

Feeling is the Secret

According to Goddard, our feelings are the key to manifestation. The feeling of already having your desire ‘impresses’ our subconscious mind, which then brings it into reality. Feel as though you already have what you desire (because you do.)

Living in the End

This means that we should feel and think as though your desire has already come true. For example, let’s say you want a job, think and feel how you would if you had the job. Go straight to the end. You only need to repeatedly assume the feeling of already having what you want. 

Techniques you can use to Manifest: 

Imagination

Your imagination is the creative power of your awareness. When you close your eyes and visualize, you are stepping into the 4D. Create scenes that imply your desire is fulfilled and dream in them.

Scripting

Write out your desires as if they’ve already happened. Example: “I am so grateful to have my dream job. I feel fulfilled and excited every day.”

Affirmations

Affirmations are simple statements of what you want as if it’s already true. Example: “I am loved,” or “I have everything I desire.” Make sure to repeat affirmations you resonate with.

Revision

Rewrite past experiences in your imagination. For instance, if you had a bad day, imagine it going exactly how you wanted instead. This changes your assumptions about reality.

Circumstances don’t matter. The 3D is only showing remnants of old assumptions. Stay faithful to your new state.

Extra/Rant:

You don't need a technique to manifest, you can affirm once or affirm hundreds of times for hours : you still get your desire.

If you keep asking yourself why you don't have your desire, then you don't completely understand it. i've explained it as much as I could.

be kind to yourself, don't beat yourself up. manifestation should be easy, if it's hard you're putting too much pressure on yourself.

my beliefs on manifestation may not align with yours, that's fine. this is just how i perceived it in my years in the community.

You can manifest whatever you want, yes you can. It doesn’t matter what it is and how crazy it sounds, you can manifest it. yes you can manifest out of thin air, multiple things at once, etc. there is no limit in manifestation. Manifestation is real, LOA is real, it isn’t my job to convince you, that is your decision. Stop asking me for permission, stop asking period, all you need to do is assume. Let this be your sign, just decide, right now that you have everything you want. You and your mind are not separate beings, your mind is you, you control everything! Everything is in your hands, use it.

❆ instead of putting your journey and motivations on others, it’s time to look within. there’s only so much more “new” information you can gain. your journey is yours and yours alone. that doesn’t mean it has to be a lonely one though. trust that you have the answers, and trust that there is still a community for you! having so many different pieces of information and advice forced upon you to try and digest and make use of is not helping you. sit with yourself and ask yourself if there is genuinely anything you still need to learn from others at this point? at what point do you let it all go and just use it to your benefit?

❆ maybe creating some sort of routine will help you as well, setting up some self-discipline. on the flip side you may need to let go of perfectionism as well. you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. shifting is supposed to be fun. maybe reflect on what you can do to make this all the more enjoyable. let go of the process and remember where you started.

A realization - Let go

A Realization - Let Go

(TW: light mention of some heavy stuff; rant + personal trauma mention)

To shift, or to manifest, you need to leave behind everything. You need to leave behind all sentiments, all pressures and and all circumstances, on a multiversal level, nothing will care about your trauma, to shift you have to let yourself forget about it fully.

Personal rant, my experience with shifting:

I was depressed. I had messed up this reality to a point where it could not be fixed in the present, I had failed all exams, lied about the results, hoping everything be better, because I will be in my desired reality later that night.

If I had a day off, or if it was a weekend, I would get too relaxed, i would end up daydreaming about stuff that was irrelevant to my DR, and fall asleep, because i knew i was still in my CR, I would wake up back here.

If I did not have a day off, and had to attend college the next day, I would be so stressed out, the need to escape was the only thing on my mind. I would try, get stressed about time running out, worried that I'll wake back and what not.

And due to this, when i eventually woke back, in the same, lonely and cold reality, the only thought that would arise in my mind was to fill the sink with water, and dive my face right into it.

The realization:

It did not matter what I felt, the same thoughts "no one is coming to save me" "it doesn't matter ill be in my DR tonight" "I want to go home", whether it was said in a positive or negative tone, it didn't matter, thinking stuff like this wouldn't work.

It's all just a human way to perceive things, we're suffering and we need to escape. While shifting isn't like any other human process.

Changing your entire reality is almost mechanical. Select a place, act like it, feel it, and leave and let go whatever was in the past. The constant victim feeling we all get, isn't helping us, the constant need to fear we're going to be back in the CR, is a function attached to the human body. We're consciousness, and whatever reality we want is created by our own focus onto it.

Our DRs, also needs our contribution, for us to give it attention, let us form it. thinking like a human, thinking you're "shifting" to a place, you're attempting to shift to that place, thinking you might reach it if you do X or Y, won't work, you know?

We're the creator, our hopeless situation is also created by us, and us being in our DRs, is also created by us.

why do some people end up not shifting to their DR ? ・。・。・୨୧

{ disclaimer: i understand the kind of question i am proposing. i am fully aware that every one is different and so is their shifting journey. nonetheless, i’d like to share my thoughts and experiences. }

i've always wondered about this. if shifting is so easy, why does it seem that so many struggle? of course i understand that something may be universally simple to do but for some that may not be the case. but my question still stands, even in my own journey.

now for some context. the morning i wrote this i was quite tired when i woke up, i was trying so hard not to go back to sleep but ultimately failed. this experience shares some similarities to my last post where i shared how i thought i almost shifted via lucid dreaming. this morning after i fell asleep, i was constantly slipping in and out of consciousness. the whole thing felt like it was going on for so long, when really it was probably only thirty minutes.

from the get go i began trying to shift to my desired reality. it was hard to even tell if i was awake or asleep most of the time. but on multiple occasions it felt as though i was moving into a different position. it was such a confusing experience, i tried multiple times " i'm in my DR, i'm in my DR, i'm in my DR... " visualizing my room... at certain points it seemed like i was pulling my room together, with my eyes closed a light began to form on my right. other times it seemed no matter what i was in the same place in my mind.

at one point i even began to astral project/dream that i was. (i know little to nothing about AP, but i'm pretty sure i was just dreaming). i felt like i was floating up in my room and looked down to see my body on my bed, but it only lasted maybe five seconds before i snapped out of it.

my point to sharing this, and what happened to me the morning of christmas, is that my experiences like this are more than i can count. experiences where after i'm thinking to myself " hey! how did that not work??? "

so often (especially since september) i have many dreams where i try to shift through them, but to no avail... so many dreams where i am not even lucid and i'm subconsciously just trying to shift (?). dreams where my subconscious is basically pointing and yelling at me that shifting is inevitable for me (i wish i was exaggerating). dreams of my DR, dreams of my s/o, on and on again.

and i'm left heartbroken in the end... " why in an altered state of consciousness where i don't need to have worries of my body, my surroundings, am i not there? " now it just feels like i am haunted by my desire to love and be loved.

some days are easier than others, yes, but this question is still stuck in the back of my mind. perhaps dreams are not the way for me, i've definitely thought of it a time or two. then i let it go... but my dreams have always stayed with me, a constant reminder. if i am aware of my dreams so often... shouldn't i use that to my advantage?

i will persist of course, but i've been lost for some time.

Update: my dad ended up getting Chinese food for everyone 😭

I think I almost shifted

I woke up around 9 this morning and was kinda irritated that the night prior my cat was being annoying when I went to lay down and meditate but I just shrugged it off, it’s Christmas anyways.

I then saw a post on Reddit regarding a way to have your body asleep and mind awake. I thought it was kind of interesting and made a mental note to try it out and laid down and contemplated just shifting right then and there. Most times when I “try” to shift it’s not in the morning due to everyone being up and what not. But I was, still am, kind of just over my shifting journey at this point.

Instead of referencing the info I saw on Reddit I just began to think of my plans my first day in my DR. Eventually my dad turned the heat on because it was so cold and I just decided to let myself rest more bc I didn’t sleep well.

I continued to think of my first day as I drifted off to sleep and how annoyed I was with my journey.

Eventually I slipped into a dream, a very strange one at that, an experience I’ve never had before really.

It began with me trying cake for my wedding (?) and for a bit it was somewhat normal. I’m not sure when exactly my dream changed but I remember being in the car with my sister and dad, he was driving us home. At this point I was constantly teetering on being awake and in a dream, and it’s clear to me now that in this dream I thought I was awake and living out today.

My dad mentioned how he picked up Chinese food for my mom, and I thought that was weird because he was supposed to make wings tonight. I remember joking with my sister that it sucks he did that because we were planning to get Chinese food later.

This dream was so vivid… I remember looking out of the car on the way home and it was so beautiful, the way the light was going through the trees the architecture. I thought to myself “I don’t remember this place ever looking like this.. so odd” there were so many indicators in this dream that I feel like I should’ve gotten lucid but I never did…?

Anyways we got home and the only parts I remember is I was standing on the couch for some reason (it was also in a different spot) and there was a wolf there??? I called out for my dad and when he came into the living room the wolf was gone. He looked at me strangely and said something like “did you not drink enough coffee today” and I remember thinking that that was such a strange thing for him to say in general but also in that moment as I stood on the couch claiming there was a literal wolf in our living room. But still I didn’t become lucid.

Instead I laid on the couch I said to myself “I’m just gonna shift instead” and right when I closed my eyes and said I’m in my DR, my body began buzzing all over, I began to feel as though I was floating and my surroundings around me began to warp. I got excited but stayed focused, I continued saying “I am in my DR” and I imagined where I was gonna wake up, what I would be wearing… and the sensations became more extreme. I continued to persist. But unfortunately something woke me up here.

It was such an odd experience, I’ve lucid dreamt many times and tried shifting via a dream many times before too. But never anything like this where I thought I was awake and just subconsciously did an attempt?????? This feels like a good thing but… where does this leave me? What does this mean, and why didn’t I shift :(

Reminder: you are not lesser if you've been struggling with manifestation or shifting. You don't deserve to feel shame for being in a stage everyone goes through. Struggling now doesn't mean you'll struggle forever. This is not a reflection of who you are. There is nothing wrong with you and you are just as worthy as anyone else. You are going to be ok.

you pick it up, and the weight surprises you—it’s heavier than it looks, as though it’s been carrying the reflections of centuries. the silver is worn, tarnished in that way where it almost looks like smoke trapped under glass. When you open it, the mirror is cracked but still functional, splitting your face into fragments like you’re some living cubist painting.

SO, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? this is the artefact of self-perception. if asking, “who am i in this moment?” and not trusting the answer. shifting is your MO (master opus, obviously), but this mirror is here to remind you: even when you’re mastering realities, you are the through-line. the cracks in the glass is the self you’ve shed in every DR, your multidimensional fingerprints. but be warned: this mirror doesn’t just show you—it shows the version of you others see, too. every smile, every shadow, every flicker of their perspective. it’s asking: are you as fluid as you think, or are you just trying on new faces to escape the old ones?

in your journey, this object suggests a phase of intense self-reflection. maybe you’re realising that even as you leap dimensions, there’s a “you” who stays constant. or maybe you’re questioning whether the roles you’ve played were ever really yours. either way, this mirror says: own the cracks—they’re your history, your kaleidoscope.

SO, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? this object is all about potential. it’s an artefact of the unsaid, the unclaimed, the could-have-beens. it’s asking: what are you waiting to mark as your own? shifting is the art of writing yourself into stories, but maybe you’ve been forgetting to sign your name at the end. this blank seal is your reminder that you are the creator of your journey—your identity isn’t a pre-set engraving; it’s something you carve anew every time you shift.

the wax is your legacy—the parts of you that already exist in every DR you’ve touched. even if you haven’t seen it, your presence is felt. maybe you’ve been second-guessing whether you’re leaving a mark or just slipping through realities like a shadow. the seal says: even without a design, you’re sealing the deal. your intentions are enough.

this object speaks to a moment where you’re on the verge of something big, but you’re hesitating. maybe you’re wondering if you’re ready, or maybe you’re holding out for a “perfect” moment. the truth is, the seal doesn’t need engraving—it’s what you choose to imprint that matters.

THE BLANK SPACE IS WHERE THE STORY BEGINS.

SO, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? this is the artefact of guidance and exploration. the map isn’t just a tool; it’s a record of journeys past. it’s been used, loved, and abandoned—but never destroyed. and it’s showing you one thing: you’re not lost—you’re exactly where you need to be.

the X’s are goals you’ve already hit, DRs you’ve already conquered. the stains are the messy parts of the journey—the nights you stayed awake scripting, the mornings you woke up and didn’t feel “there” yet. but the beauty of this map is that it’s a living document. the roads change as you change, and the hand-drawn symbols, those are little pieces of you left behind in every reality.

this object says your journey is not linear—it’s a spiral, looping back to places you thought you’d left behind. maybe you’re revisiting old DRs, or maybe you’re realising that every shift is connected, even if the roads look different. the map is urging you to trust the process—what looks like a dead end might just be a fold waiting to be smoothed out.
