Some cut dialogue and character directions from the nightman cometh script that just speak to me
CANON ITS CANON THATS CANON BLOOPERS COUNT TOO ITS CANON NO TAKE BACKS 🔫
mac's love for dogs, who are seen as companions and often deemed "a man's best friend", contrasting his parents' physical and emotional absences in his childhood vs. charlie's love for cats, who are typically solitary creatures, contrasting bonnie's overbearing parenting that suffocated him.
"If you believe it to be real, then it’s real."
(Dennis, Mac and reality)
the idea of Ruth as a trans allegory has me crying in the club
(SPOILERS FOR NERDY PRUDES MUST DIE GO WATCH IT ITS AMAZING)
the idea of discovering something more to yourself that you want to show the world, but feel stuck in what people say you need to be rather than what you really are hits really close to home
Max Jagerman saying “you’re a nerd cause I said so. i willed it into existence.” represents how the more acceptable, “normal” people project what someone is supposed to be onto them without considering what they truly are, to keep them in a box, a box that Ruth is trying to break out of
when Max is presumed dead, it represents those expectations being lifted off of those who were affected, allowing people like Richie to be confident in who they are and make friends
even though Ruth doesn’t know exactly what she is yet, she finds her passion for being in the spotlight at the beginning of “Just For Once”, singing about how she now knows she wants to be in the spotlight
lines that talk about her character growing old, talking about how she’s disappointed with where her life is, maybe reflects how she’s feels about growing up herself, being scared of a future where she has to live as someone she isn’t or with someone she doesn’t want to be with
her repetition of “just for once,” in the song reflects many of the thoughts that other trans people have, often imagining ultimatums like “if only I had a button that turned me into a (preferred gender)” or “if I could just wear this outfit just for one event,” or “if I could just be a (preferred gender) for one day”
“just for once I’d feel the spark that I once knew” reflects feelings of many trans people who realized they weren’t cis around high school, where Ruth is, and searched to find that feeling again, but felt trapped by expectations by parents or others
“should I flip the burgers now? should I double check it’s well done on the outside, not within?” her indecisiveness reflects one of her main character traits, that she is riddled with anxiety, a common struggle that trans people experience, her anxiety makes scenarios that even though people are starting to accept her after Max’s death, that she’d still be ridiculed, or that it isn’t right for her to be who she is
her musicality shows her in bursts of confidence, like at the end with her lengthening the last note and letting it trail off, setting it free, only to go completely silent, highlighting the duality of her confidence in her new self, and fear of change (the last note always kills me it makes me tear up everytime)
what makes it even more gut-wrenching is that she isn’t able to feel the freedom of living her dream
the trailing off repetition of “i used to dance” after talking about giving away her tap shoes, representing her surrender to anxiety and fear, giving up on her dreams of being a performer, before being killed by Max
“Life is fine, if only it were mine.”
FX when I get my hands on you ...
images that haunt me because they imply frank's brother was a better episode at one point
“What’s with all the noise, you okay?”
Collab with Ghost!
villain origin story
what if you HATED MUSICALS and everyone wanted to DANCE AND SING and then you got INFECTED and your girlfriend fucking DIED

Happy Star Wars Day! Here’s my other Skywalker Twins comic all in one post!
so mac was known as ronnie the rat in high school and in "Mac Kills His Dad" even his parents know him to be a rat and specifically tell him NOT to be one. what if it was mac who ratted out his dad, not even on purpose just by saying the wrong thing and never knowing when to shut up, and that's why luther got sent to prison. and that's what ruined his relationship with his parents forever (not that it was a loving healthy relationship to begin with but from the christmas episode we know it had its nice moments that mac latches on to as proof that his parents love him). anyways that's just a theory #mytheories
Very hairy, mostly upper body tho
Polish heritage
Unlike Pete who does know Polish, Ted only knows basic phrases and words
He uses this to pick up women and thinks it's cool to know multiple languages (if you're from Europe, you know it's kinda not)
He does know it enough to communicate with Pete when the boy calls him and has to be discreet (Pete makes sure Ted understands him)
Has a goat hoof shaped birthmark that every single Spankoffski that has ever lived has. Both him and Pete have it on their right forearm
Was made fun of cause of the birthmark so he hates goats
Lives in a two bedroom apartment with Pete near his work
When he needs to drive Pete to school, he makes Pete pay him
The money doesn't stay with him tho, as he puts it in Pete's snack fund that he gives him every day before school
Ted pays for the snack fund himself
Plays Europop loudly when in his car, embarrassing Pete whenever they drive together
Music taste stuck in early 2000s, doesn't know modern artists at all (pretends to know when he needs to pick up women
Owns fedoras and Panama hats
Owns way too many summery button ups with hideous prints
Bisexual but leans towards women
Likes the color yellow, especially mustard yellow
Seen as the fuck up in his family, Pete is the only one who cares about him (Pete was a do-over baby for their parents)
Only one with his own office at CCRP cause he has no shame and annoys his coworkers constantly (can't be fired cause he's one of their lab rats, ofc)
Dog person
Gets Jenny flashbacks constantly and drinks to forget
His theme song is Lady Mustache by Tape Five
after mac comes out he starts watching rupaul's drag race cause he's a gay man and gay men like drag but very quickly he realizes he's not interested (he was into the pit crew tho) so he stops but dennis who had been lowkey watching whenever it was on screen WAS into it so he starts watching it by himself and that's how you get dennis yelling at the screen during the lip synchs for your life cause the queen he's supporting isn't serving enough cunt

Heyooo.. Interested in testing your Sunny episode knowledge? I made a quiz where you name the episode purely based on the last frame before it cuts to title:
There's 65 pictures/answers and I tried to make it so they get harder as you go (but you can skip and come back, regardless). Give it a shot and lmk how you do (if this is too easy or too hard)
Keep in mind punctuation counts (colons and ampersands) and possessives align with how the actual titles read in-episode (i.e. Dennis' not Dennis's)! Imo IMDb is the fastest reference to use if you know the episode but are stumped on its legal name :)
I had to pause a few times so I just finished the livestream, Joey remembering everything and Lauren remembering nothing was hilarious I love them both so much
Mac Dates[is Banging] the Waitress has been uploaded to our script collection!
As always, courtesy of the Paddy’s Pub Blog
i see so much toxic dennis content but can we talk about toxic mac. obviously mac’s trauma runs so deep and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being closeted but i’m just saying. imagine being in a 20 year long codependent, semi-sexual relationship with your roommate and after all that time he STILL refuses to admit he’s gay. he hates that part of himself so much. but the person he’s really denying is…. dennis! can’t imagine it feels good to build an entire life with someone just for them to call said ‘lifestyle’ a sin over and over again for years on end. that’s gotta sting a little bit! is all i’m saying!
hyperfixation please stay with me long enough to complete the project. hyperfixation do not fade. hyperfixation finish what you started for the love of god
Dennis is funny because Macs tried to heal a relationship outside the gang (his dad) but it failed immediately (rejected, unfair) and Charlie's done it too, even planned to leave, but also failed straight away (loser father up and died on him) and Frank doesn't want to leave, and Dee is not permitted to leave (not even to go bowling! they need their punch bag!) but Dennis has actually been out there. He's gone and tried it. He invested in a life outside of Paddy's Pub, he left and tried to go be a dad, be a better person than Frank was, and... it did not fuckin work! Couldn't do it. Came crawling right back after being gone for months. Which means he's the only one out of all of them that knows for sure there's nowhere else to go. None of the rest have really tested it—it's just a pipe dream for them—they can imagine it however they want! And that's a pretty useful psychological pressure valve. Their own places in the gang are inherently lower stakes for them because they can still believe if it all falls apart they'd figure something out, they got plenty of other options, definitely. They may worry there's nowhere else for them, sure, but you know what you can do with a worry? Move past it. Except for Dennis. Who knows he can't afford to rock the boat, or deviate too much from his assigned role, i.e. still very much the "leader" of the Freight Train, still their new psycho, even if he is a little mellowed with age. So he left because he wanted to quit all the delusional bullshit, wanted to try something real. Then found out "real" didn't want him in it. And came back to the gang, and for a little while he tried to make a change: The Gang Escapes, "let's keep this between us"; Times Up, "I don't want you kissing me" + [extensive instructions in how to not get caught]; Even up to New Wheels he's trying something new, til he embarrasses himself in front of Frank. Til fate hands him his old car back. And if reality don't want you, you're not gonna say no to fate, are you. At least he's got a place in the world. At least somebody wants him around, some kinda way. It's good actually. Who cares if it's not who he really is. He knows there's nothing else out there. The others don't, but he does. So he can keep his secrets, play his part, don't dwell on it, it's cool. It's whatever. After all it's not like you can just "move past" reality, can you. Can you?
He apparently did the cameo in 2 seconds, so here, lol. Also, he does think I'm the official Ted artist in the fandom 😭 honor
Remember, these are just actor headcanons, nothing official 👍
Ted genuinely loves Pete
Hes' very romantic, but he puts on a facade of a bullshit guy cause he wants to seem cool
He does think Paul is his best friend
Ted's one of those guys who doesn't wear pants at home, he's just in boxers
He does wear a tie tho, in case he needs to go out or have a zoom meeting
He uses excessive amount of cologne
Ted constantly goes on dates. Most women in Hatchetfield have "gone on a date" with him, but they last 5 minutes cause how much of a terrible guy Ted is
Lot of people know him in town and think he's a creep
All his deaths need to be embarrassing
Always orders take-out, never cooks for himself
He takes Pete out constantly and tries to be cool in front of him, but Pete is embarrassed by him, but still thinks he's cool (side note is that Joey'd like a NMT episode of Bill and Alice hanging out and Ted and Pete hanging out)
Ted loves dogs and maybe has a dog at home we don't know about
My desire to see the foster girls happy + my soul-deep need to put paul matthews in situations have collided in a cataclysmic and frankly irreversible way and i've decided i'm going to make it everyone's problem. what you're telling me this man doesn't deserve a "world's okayest dad" mug ???
i've fine-tuned the lore to this incredibly silly au yapping abound under the cut
the gist is pam is both lex and han's mom but only paul is hannah's father. it was a one night stand which didn't go well (that's the last time paul ever gives in to ted's goading to "loosen up" and "do something crazy"). paul eventually takes lex in and adopts her because of the few times he's seen the way pam treat her + he wants the sisters to be able to grow up together. Normal Man went from a recent college graduate in a brand new job with no immediate plan or intention to have kids to a seasoned father of two in the span of like a year. idk but if u ask ME this is the universe's way of saying paul matthews was meant to be a girldad he's just unlocking his full potential
