Neil Josten tried to run away from everyone and got a exy racket smashing his stomach by a blond psycho short man, BOOM, join the foxes, BOOM, a millions problem got added since he was literally searched by the mafia for 8 years! And decided to drop everything for stick ball? Andrew and his gay ass did not manage to look away and after making sure Neil was not a threat (he actually is but against his will), he took Neil under his wing to protect too.

I feel like the only acceptable adaptation of AFTG would be a sports anime. It's the only medium that could match the intensity of Neil's inner monologs and not make it look completely ridiculous.
Also, when was the last time you saw a straight sports anime?

I've been having an existential crisis lately. Because I realised I first read aftg when I was 14 and now I'm Neil's age in the series. What the fuck, what do you mean I will be older than them?
idk if anyone else will get this but you know how like the ppl who like gay stuff are in the fandom for the gay stuff I'll be dead ass the whole reason why I got into aftg was because of something I saw I can't rember on what but it was talking about how neil and andrew understood each on another level as well as another post talking about the violence and I was there like "oh the violence is gonna great oif yellow are praising the angst" but then when I first listened to the books I was like how are ppl just summing this up as a lovge story keep in mind this was back prior covid so like 2018-2019 time period like I didn't go into these books for love stuff I went in for the pain and what I also got was two people understanding eachother fully and ii will be dead ass after my first listen to the first two books so like before I even got to the throw one I was like oh shit they really understand each other like the whole twin flame type shit was going in my head and then I get to the third book and I was like wellll that romance just slapped me in the face and then I relistend to the first two books and I was like oh never mind I'm just dumb as fuck (and aroace but I didn't know it at the time so I never really pick up on romance plots) and like i just took it the first time and I still do more as a series of understanding and healing and coming to terms with shitty dealt cards plus a lot of other things the sport aspect came second to me like I love exy don't get me wrong I would love it to be real to play but I loved the understanding all the characters had for certain people you know
see I agree I need to see this played out in person like get me on a court with 8 other people to play a fake sport that's just took up my life
If I ever meet 8+ people who have read AFTG and are just as obsessed with it, I'm gonna find an abandoned basketball court and we're going to play mini Exy with whatever we can, okay? I want to see how it would function in real life. I want to see how much skill these people have. I mean, I need to know how good Andrew is that he blocks almost every goal and Kevin can play with a bad hand and scores like it's no one's business and Neil just gets past his marks and scores like. How. I gotta know.

alright guys back here again I'm on page 42 of tfc on chapter 3 have I picked up the kindle since I got to this page like probs about a week and a half ago no I haven't cuz I know like big events aka the edens scene neil hitchhiking back uhhh seths death the banquet those are the scenes I fully remember do i want to finish the book yes obviously do I have the mental stability to get past chapter three no ii don't am I doing this so I don't have to read the 2nd and 3rd books yes I am so yeah idk what the fuck to do at this point but I will probably still talk about aftg and other things like the cherrycrush webtoon and sbg webtoon but yeah
so I finished chapter 2 liike a day ago havent started chapter 3 but i forgot the first book was 14 chapters like howd i forget that i dont know im trying to prep myself to read the third chapter at some point this week or next week im a slow reader i know it takes me days to finish a book but chapter 2 was great as well neil just figuring out the twins switch is just immaculate i activitly forgot that happens in the book but hey it was great.
ight guys it's time for me to continue my reread of the foxhole court I left off on page 12 because I already know what's gonna happen and shit but along of it from the first two books I've forgotten cuz haven't listened to em since 2018-2019 but you lot bet I listened to the last one multiple times, so what I've read so far the first meet hit scene where Andrew slams a racket into Neil's gut like ugh love the violence also can we talk about Kevin's intro scene cuz "I'm not good enough to play with a champion" and Kevin just like hell yeah you ain't bitch byut he gotta act cool so "true but irrelevant" like he knows he's the shit love him for that will update when I finish chapter one and or finish or get halfway through chapter 2
