As someone who's read literally all of these either in school or on my own time, well, besides TPBAW, I only watched the movie :0 ! Education is a privilege and knowledge; power. As l've said before, y'all go read! It's fun and sexy.
Reading is political and it always has been. Here are some of the classic books on the banned list that you should definitely check out.
i've been in a reading slump for soooo long, just picked up wicked randomly and tell me why i'm obsessedddd omg, we needed this
yeah i’m fine (sometimes fictional characters are the only people i feel loved by)
So for me, the top five books that I do this with are probably...oh god this is hard...
Star by Star by Troy Denning
Bloodmarked by Tracy Deonn
Martin the Warrior by Brian Jacques
Uprooted by Naomi Novik
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko
Leave the best books that destroyed you emotionally in the tags!
Screw it , I'm going to write this book.
Truly miss it when people picked books based on the information, or because it captured their eye at the store, or because it was a gift. Now we see aesthetic over the top covers and limited editions for 30 - 50 euros somewhere on social media and buy it for the looks of it. We don't even read most of our books anymore. We just buy them to have them to fill a room. Breaking the spines is a crime now, too, for some reason, as if we didn't buy the book ourselves to use them and read them. Why do we treat books like they are artefacts in a museum not to be touched and to be hoarded?
Classics are so weird because you will be reading the most beautiful writing known to mankind, absolutely heartwrenching quotes and brilliant themes, and then you will be hit with the most VIOLENT RACISM AND SEXISM
Booboo Stewart- Lucien
Age- 29
Hear me out... he'd dye his hair. Or wear a wig. He may not look like the fanarts that people are used to, but Booboo Stewart would fit Lucien's character really well. His charisma is off the charts. Have you seen his smile? From playing Seth in Twilight to Jay in Descendants, he often becomes a fan favorite. This would be no different. He would be exceptional playing our clever Spring Court Emissary.
Almost all the characters in the ACOTAR series are supposed to look like they are in their early to late 20s. They are immortal fae and I decided on this fancast because the actors need to look like they are in this age range for a number of years. I know this wouldn’t be everyone choice and a lot of people would love to see actors like Henry Cavill or Jason Momoa (trust me, I would too), but I wanted to keep the fancast more realistic towards the books.
(I don’t know why I’m saying all this like it’s a real casting, this is a fancasting. But istg if they make Jacob Elordi or Timothee Chalamet Rhysand, I’ll riot)
If you see this you’re legally obligated to reblog and tag with the book you’re currently reading
I do! I do!
*me at the club* so does anyone wanna discuss queer undertones in classic literature?
This is my bookshelf if anyone is interested.
okay it got better for sureeee!!
its a bit of a slow start for me personally, but i thoroughly enjoyed the 2/3 and then the 3/3 even more!
im not sure if i will get the sequel or not, ill read a few more books and see if im still thinking about emily wilde after that.
spoilers below
wendell and emily’s dynamic is hilarious after the proposal. they are so direct with each other normally, but when it comes to romance they just avoid actually speaking of it as such.
i really enjoyed how the town accepted emily’s way of being, that she is not good with attention or small talk or pleasantries. they didnt demand any kind of thanks from her, they knew she was thankful without it.
3.5/5 ⭐️
im reading emily wilde’s encyclopaedia of faeries right now and im not sure how i feel about it.
like i like it dont get me wrong. i eat anything up that has fairies of any kind.
but im a very.. emotional person, and so the format of the book being emily’s diary, and her being quite a.. professional and almost stoic? person, doesnt quite engage me as much.
maybe she taps into her emotions later in the story (i’m about a 1/3 of the way through) so idk!! thats just my thoughts so far

Unreliable narrator except they’re not unreliable they’re straight up lying about everything and the other narrator has to keep correcting them.
Narrator 1: I’m telling you, they’re alive. It was just a little burn.
Narrator 2: They are not, in fact, alive. They jumped into an erupting volcano.
I need to stop listening to music while listening to books.
The things this song has made me feel while thinking of that one character :(
I think it would be interesting for him to read They Both Die at the End. I think he would also like The Graveyard Book and Cemetery boys. I think he would be a fan of Holly Jackson's books. Being a detective and her write amazing mystery books. If I had more time I could probably come up with a list.
Another day, another Dead Boy Detectives question! ✨
In the hopes of getting the fandom tag trending and getting more eyes on Dead Boy Detectives, please use the tag "dead boy detectives" when you reblog to reply.
Today's question:
What's one book you think Edwin Payne would love?
Reading King of Scars has hit me deep. I am half way through and shipping Zoyalai and Genya x David so hard. I love David so much. He is my goat. I have been hit in the face with Nikolai backstory, getting teased boy Zoya's, and crying over Matthias and Nina. I am having fun anotating.
I can not stop thinking about this book. It's like six of crows if it took place in Vagas and they were all ace.
