I was inspired by an artist who draws art based on phobias so drawled one. It based off masklophobia or the fear of masks.
Gotham by Gaslight x Scarecrow Swap au. The Twisted Nurse.
Decided to draw my scarecrow swap version of Gatia (aka where they are basically the Scarecrow in that au) in Gotham by Gaslight.
Basically they are a plague doctor inspired nurse who is very mysterious and menacing. She has a knowledge with chemicals and surgery as a nurse in the Arkham Hospital (still very much an asylum.) Gatia is very tactical and makes thought out moves as she isn’t very physically strong and needs to get away with it. She learned a way to make her own fear toxin that is meant to trick the user into believing it is a pleasant smell.
Gatia is a very reserved and quiet nurse who has no work friends but has a huge crush on the fear psychologist doctor, Jonathan Crane. However she acts obedient and friendly only to get people off her back. She finds flowers and any greenery to be repulsive and enjoys seeing pollution happen due to her trauma involving plants.
While she isn’t canonically non-binary (due to the time period) but is very coded to be as she hates the thought of being called “a Women” or anything along the lines of notifying she is a women. She states that she isn’t just a some women or a looney women killer but fear itself. A phobia.
The Psychiatrist and the Nurse
Lmao i had to use this audio. Basically I made a swap au where it’s me as the ‘Scarecrow’ and Jonathan Crane is just a regular Psychiatrist at Arkham.
Imagine having a nurse, who is secretly very much twisted, literally fall in love with you. He’s just trying to help the patient at Arkham but nothing is normal at Arkham ig.
Also yea i get i used the btas design even though he is a professor of psychology but I simply love him okay. In the au he does occasionally teach students at a university whenever he can.

Autophobia
Morbid fear of solitude, or of being left alone, abandoned or ignored.
P.S.: Solitude is often good but the rest are just dreadful.

Its so bad it makes my wanna cut myself..a fly was in my house and I had a panic attack..it's dead..but I'm still not ok..my knife is by me..I wanna die..I wanna cut myself so badly
I turned phobias into monsters about 2 years ago. So now that I'm back in that phase, lemme share some redesigns + discriptions for ya.
Claustro- He represents the fear of closed in spaces. Claustro's pretty short for a phobia (most phobias are usually 8'10 or taller, he's 7'6)... unfortunately, so is his temper.
Tapho- Created from the fear of being buried alive, he doesn't always keep his victims in there for long though, letting them go after about 8 hours or so. Using the feelers which conveniently looks like an earthworm, he drags his unlucky victims underground and into his casket-like body.
If you have any requests for more phobia monsters or questions about them, feel free to ask, I won't be doing certain phobias and only appropriate questions (no nsfw). if i already have a design for a certain phobia, I will gladly try to brainstorm a redesign!

Tokophobia
I hate to say this but am i the only one that finds pregnancy a mix of terrifying and disgusting? like it just reminds me way too much of Alien or some kind of parasite. especially when the baby moves and you can see it inside it’s mothers huge belly. i just don’t see the appeal behind getting pregnant 😭 side rant: why are some pregnant women so self absorbed? a while ago i was queuing up for the toilets at the beach and i was waiting about half an hour, i finally get to the front of the queue and some pregnant lady pushes i front of me and the other six or seven people waiting behind me (some super young children). usually i would let her go first but i felt bad for all the other people behind me and i had pretty bad bladder problems at the time so i genuinely would have risked pissing myself. i said to her “excuse me? the queue starts back there” trying not to be rude although i’m not great with tone. she turns her nose up at me, scoffs and then god to the back of the line whining about how i was “mistreating her?”. genuine AITA moment
