What is your favorite quote?

What got you into writing poetry, and do you write more than you post?

Mainly my inability to express feelings on an emotional level, which made me look for alternatives to bring those very feelings to the outside world. This can be in the form of calligraphy, or sports, but also poetry and a few less "healthy" ways.

And certainly I write more than I post here. Most of my poetry is not made for the eyes of the general public.

People write you such silly/useless/idiotic messages. I've read a few and I commend you for your measured responses. They should be like me and appreciate the cool stuff on your blog (or piss off if they cannot). I love your poetry, I've been learning German for the past few years and I have to do a bit of research sometimes before getting it, but it is fun to understand it/even if I'm missing stuff. Good luck with the morons and your lovely art!

Thank you for taking the time to type that. Really appreciate it.

Glad you enjoy my poetry so much and good luck for mastering the German language; it is not the easiest language to learn.

No woman wants a disproportionate meathead muscle man. Maybe you should work on your brain for a change instead of just bluntly moving weights. But you do your thing, more women remain for the intelligent among us :)

You and the other guy should really coordinate your messages better. Am I a weak little soyboy or a disproportionate meathead muscle man?

By the way I heard thinking of oneself as overly intelligent, having an unhealthy obsession with a random guy's tumblr profile and drawing the only motivation to do something from what other people would think of it are supposed to be the characteristics of a true panty dropper.

Why do you get so many hater questions? Are you an asshole magnet offline as well?

I think it's because I've had online profiles on other sites before, and there may have been a few hateful followers that migrated with me to tumblr. Apart from that, I stand firmly for my values and views and am open for confrontation, which in a way also makes you a target for such people; you can't please everyone after all.

In a way, I'm an asshole magnet in real life too, yes. However, to elaborate on the whole thing would go beyond the scope of an answer here.

Finally, I will say that it doesn't really bother me. At the end of the day, they're all just words and I'm the one who gives or takes away value from them. Some of these messages are even quite funny. Of course, I publish only a very small part of them.

When did you decide to start lifting? And how long did it take you to see results? How many times a week do you train?

Honestly, I don't remember exactly when I decided to start. The results are always different; depending on the person, genetics, training plan, starting position, goal setting .. . Personally, I have already been able to see the first visible results after a few weeks.

It depends on my training plan, currently I train according to a push / pull split and in addition to this I put additional focus on the legs. Thus, I train 5-6 times a week.

Hello weltenasche. I know it is kind of a weird question but you inspired me to learn calligraphy and I wanted my first written word to be my name. I try to write with a frakturish (I think that is the font you use?) font but I can't get the "B" to work for the life of me. Could you upload a video where you write a "B" for me? Thank you! - Bella.

Hello Bella, I'm glad you're using me as inspiration to learn calligraphy. Yes, I do write a type of Fraktur script (even a few different ones, to be exact). Don't be discouraged by the majuscules at first; they're really hard.

I've never done this before, but I made a video for you of me writing the letter. Please excuse the messy writing, as it's pretty difficult to write with only one hand while filming with the smartphone in the other.

Just for completeness, I used a "C. Howard Hunt Pen Co, Speedball Pens, C-Series / C-1" for writing. I would recommend a nib with less elasticity for you, maybe one of the Brause & Co, No. 180 series.

I wish you continued success and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

If you envy the leaves so much maybe you should just kíll yourself? One less wannabe deep poet will not be missed.

Maybe I should, maybe I shouldn't.

It's fine if you share your opinion with me so openly and honestly. I don't mind because I have very strict standards for people to value their opinions and being an anonymous Tumblr user is not one of them.

Finally, a small reminder to you, even though this will fall on similar deaf ears as your message did to mine:

Not all people handle messages of such nature the way I do, and some certainly take them more to heart. I would therefore be a little more careful with the words that I anonymously spread on the Internet.

Landing there

to die in peace

I envy them

Would you agree that you should follow your heart and that what makes you feel good is always right for you?

Again, I would like to mention that words like "right" and "wrong" have no special meaning. I think nothing is inherently right or wrong, just as nothing is good or bad; these are all just categories into which we divide the world so as not to be overwhelmed by its complexity. With that being said, I don't think that everything that feels good is good or right for you unless you look at it from a hedonistic point of view.

Kugelmensch

Four arms, four legs

and a head with two faces.

We wanted too much

endagered those in high places.

So they tore us apart

in fear of our power;

been searching for you

since this very hour.

Echoing your name

in every new thought;

to feel you once more

was what my heart sought.

And you found me again

which made me feel whole;

and freed all those things

I still can't control.

Our time was cut short

I know love is blind;

but I still can't believe

that you left me behind.

Honestly If I had a body like yours I would not change a damn thing. Your body looks like it is carved out of stone and I mean it.

Thank you. I think a few years ago I would have thought similarly to you if someone had shown me such pictures of a body. But that's the thing about dissatisfaction, it's as unique as the individual who holds it. I'm afraid I will never be truly satisfied with myself, my mind is just too burdened for that; But out of dissatisfaction arises movement and the motivation to change something, not stagnation. I cannot change my thinking or taste the sweet satisfaction of the self, but I can use my dissatisfaction to grow steadily. And that is exactly what I will do.

If you could change a thing on your body what would that be?

Arising from my perfectionism, I would probably want to change many things. But if I could change one thing in the short term, then I'd adjust the ratio between my forearms and biceps/triceps. It's not that my biceps/triceps are small but my forearms genetically seem to just grow at a much faster rate.

Can i send you nudes?🔥

If you want to know if you are physically able to do that, then I suppose the answer to that question is "yes." If - and I think this is more likely - your question is whether it is okay for me or if I would be happy about it, then I have to answer this with a "no".

I have never understood the sole attraction to a body, when it is the personality and the many small characteristics that make a person (and thus the body) interesting in the first place.

Our Place

Walking through the powdery snow

I passed a place that I still know;

by heart - like every loving memory

that touched my heart so tenderly;

reminding me of all I miss

and every single endless kiss;

mourning as I went my way

I guess nothing gold can stay.

You're good at calligraphy! May I ask what writing instruments do you use? Please and thank you. 🖋️😊

Thank you.

I had already answered most of this in a previous German reply, but I'm happy to answer it again in English since you asked me so politely.

Nib holder

I use different nib holders, depending on the font. Since I write a lot of broken fonts, I usually use a nib holder made of wood with a chrome grip.

The nib holder is called "Federhalter ARTIST" and I purchased it from the German online store of "feder-fuehrend": https://www.feder-fuehrend.de/products/federhalter-artist-mahagoni-inkl-schreibfeder

Nibs

For the nibs themselves, I use bandzug nibs. I recommend nibs with less elasticity in the beginning, as they are easier to handle, and as you become more confident, you can increase the elasticity.

A good starter set is "Brause & Co, No. 180": https://www.feder-fuehrend.de/products/bandzugfeder-no-180-brause

I currently use the following nibs frequently:

William Mitchell, Pedigree, Round-Hand, Bronze

C. Howard Hunt Pen Co, Speedball Pens, C-Series

Heintze & Blanckertz, No. 600

I purchased these from the German online store "Kallipos": https://shop.kallipos.de/de/produkte/bandzugfedern

Paper

When it comes to paper, I use various types of it; Again, depending on the font, type of work, and writing utensils used.

Practice paper For normal practice, I often use lined practice pads or white non-lined paper with a thickness of 100g/m².

Project paper For my projects I use a different sort of paper. It is important to pay attention to the sizing in order to prevent the ink from "bleeding". In addition to sizing, a matte surface is also important, as ideally the nib should not slip off. I vary the thickness of these types of paper depending on the intended use, but it usually amounts to 120g/m² or 200g/m².

Paper for special inks For special inks, such as the golden ink in some of my uploads, I use special black colored paper from Italy (Burano nero - Roman Tower) in the thickness 200g/m².

I don't really have a store for paper, which I use regularly. At this point, I would just google for the appropriate paper and thickness.

Inks

The inks I use also vary quite a bit. But for the most part I use inks from "Rohrer & Klingner": https://www.rohrer-klingner.de/en/writing-ink/

I especially like to use the iron gall ink "Salix" and "Scabiosa".

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

Ungeboren

Viele lange Jahre schon

atmen wir die gleiche Luft

und fasse ich an meine Brust

so spüre ich die tiefe Kluft.

Viele lange Nächte schon

verbrachte ich allein für mich

und streift ein einzelner Gedanke mich

so ist er meist bedauerlich.

Viel zu lange schon

war ich nicht was du erhofft

doch nicht genug

das war ich oft.

In deinen fremden Augen stets

war ich nur der spitze Dorn

doch eines Wunsches sind wir gleich:

Wär' ich doch nur nie geborn.

Spiegelung deiner Augen

Das Tor zur Seele steht

niemand Zugang zu erlauben

mit Ausnahme von Einem

jene Spiegelung in den Augen.

So stand ich zuletzt vor dir

deiner Augenblicke streifend

Vertrauen in der Luft

mit bloßer Hand zu greifen.

Vernahm besagte Spiegelung

in deinen schönen Augen

und als sie meines Bildes trugen

konnt' ich es gar nicht glauben.

Dein Tor es stand nun offen

nur mir war es je frei

der Schwelle immer näher

trat ich mit Kuss vorbei.
