Tips For Not Binging.

Tips for not binging.

These tips are ideal for people 150+ lbs as I am 160 lbs and these are helping me! I am not a medical professional but we don’t all have access to that so I wanna say what helps me in the hope it can help others.

🤍 DONT ⭐️ve DO OMAD instead! If you’re used to eating 2000+ calories almost everyday ⭐️ving will work for the short term but then you’ll relapse back to old habits as you’re not used to it. Try OMAD because you’re still training your body to understand restricting but obviously you’ll be full at the end of the day. (Have your OMAD at about 4 pm - 8 pm)

🤍 Water fast only ONE day of the week to start for 4 - 6 weeks so your body can get used to it. Then do two days for another 4 - 6 weeks so you can get used to that.

🤍 WALK! Walk for 30 minutes everyday then increase to 45 minutes everyday then increase to 60 minutes everyday. Do this on an empty stomach before your OMAD.

🤍 PROTEIN! Fish and veggies or chicken and veggies every night as your OMAD. It will keep you full and a standard serving is less than 400 calories. Even if you add rice that’s still under 500 calories!

🤍 Allow yourself a low kcal (under 100 calories) treat after your OMAD. I know what you’re thinking but it’s better to have a 80 kcal treat every night than binging on 2000+ calories a couple days of the week! I eat two biscoff biscuits after my OMAD everyday and my daily caloric intake is still under 500 calories and I haven’t binged in months. It’s nice knowing I have a little treat to look forward too at the end of my day!

🤍 The usual advice - KEEP YOURSELF BUSY! Drink only water and green tea. Track your calories literally everyday YES liquid calories count. Remember why you’re doing this. Remember it’s always “I’ll start tomorrow” “Next month is my month” No one can lose the weight for you it’s you against you. Four months from now you CAN be thinner or not but four months is gonna past regardless time doesn’t wait for anyone. You got this!

My Personal Tips 🩷

○ I manually count c@lories, so if something has too many components that I have to count, I just won't eat it because I'm lazy

○ I eat more c@lories throughout the day and less at night. If I save all of my c@lories for dinner or a specific meal, I tend to end up overeating. By eating more during the day and less at night, I can still eat within my c@lorie goal without feeling overly restricted.

○ I only eat half the serving size of food. For example, whenever I eat cottage cheese or oatmeal, I do half the recommended serving (sometimes 1/4 of the serving). This reduces the c@lories but still makes me full.

○ I try to add a fiber or a protein source to each of my meals. This increases satiety and reduces cravings.

○ I do pilate sessions 2 times a day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Pilates is pretty quiet, so my family doesn't get suspicious, and there's tons of different types. I have a pilates app to keep me more accountable.

○ I always leave food on my plate. Even if it's just a couple bites it still makes me feel in control. I also share a lot of my food.

○ If I really feel like I need to, I'll pvrge dinner (my family makes home-cooked dinner every night, so sometimes they can be high in c@lories and c@rbs). Honestly, I need to stop doing that because it's given me terrible acid reflux.

○ I go for bike rides on the weekends. I typically go for 90 minutes and burn 600-800 c@lories per session.

○ I drink 2-3 liters of water and day. (Water speeds up fat burning rates). Sometimes I'll add lemons or chia seeds to my water for extra nutrients

○ I journal and plan out my day.

○ I mealprep so I never have an excuse to eat something else

○ I get ready (almost) every morning, even if I'm not going anywhere because it makes me feel more put together, which in turn makes me make healthier food choices.

○ I'll "trick" myself into not eating. Instead of saying to myself "I can't have this", I say "I can have this, but I don't want it/like it/feel full." Once I tell myself a lie enough times, it becomes the truth.

hunger sc4le

painfully hungry: hunger pains, dizzy, feeling ill

very hungry: could eat anything, might binge

mildly hungry: strong signs of hunger, a little dizzy

hungry: 1st signs, stomach growling

neutral: emtpy not hungry or full, content

comfortably satisfied: hunger has been satisfied

very satisfied: hunger has been satisfied a little too well, full

beyond satisfied: starting to feel sick but manageable

uncomfortably over stuffed: feelings of guilt, heavy feeling, a bit nauseous, food coma

extremely stuffed: could throw up, bloated, feels heavy, sluggish, can't look at food

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the hunger scale, knowing this can hep you read your body. I personally try to stay 3-6. This helps keep me with my from b1ng1ng/ overe4ting.
keepingn track of your feelings and emotions before and after you e4t is also helpful, so you can find patterns in your eating behaviors like:
(before) am i actually hungry?
(before) what is my hunger scale?
(before) am i sad?
(before) am i stressed?
(before) am i happy?
(before) am i angry?
(after) how much did i eat?
(after) what is my hunger scale now?
(after) how do i feell now?
